skills in calculus, including techniques for solving complex mathematical
problems involving derivatives and integrals
19. LEARNING OUTCOMES:

Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to:

 Recall the formulae for finding areas, volumes, surface area and
arclength by using parametric equations
 Evaluate the appropriateness of different calculus techniques for
solving a particular problem.
 Sketch curves in polar coordinates
 Perform convergence test on sequences and series
 Critique the effectiveness of calculus methods and techniques for
solving particular problems.
 Break down a complex calculus problem into simpler sub-problems for
easier solution.
