The aim of this course is to provide students with advanced knowledge and
skills in calculus, including techniques for solving complex mathematical
problems involving derivatives and integrals
19. LEARNING OUTCOMES:
Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to:
Recall the formulae for finding areas, volumes, surface area and
arclength by using parametric equations
Evaluate the appropriateness of different calculus techniques for
solving a particular problem.
Sketch curves in polar coordinates
Perform convergence test on sequences and series
Critique the effectiveness of calculus methods and techniques for
solving particular problems.
Break down a complex calculus problem into simpler sub-problems for
easier solution.
