Smart Solar Overview:


Smart Solar WiFi device for managing the solar
inverter online. With the help of the device you can view inverter status,
change inverter settings, historical inverter record, Grid/Wapda usage,
Solar production day by day and many more features that we will see in
the Device Features section.

Smart Solar Device Support KS, MKS, MKS PLUS, VM, VMII, VMIII,
Infini, Infini VII, King, Hybrid, Off-Grid, On-Grid Series Inverter, Smart
Solar works perfectly with 12v, 24v, 48v of these inverters. It also
supports single phase and 3 phase inverters having rj45 port or 232
ports. Smart Solar can be plugged in 1.2kw, 2.2kw, 2.4kw 3kw, 3.2kw,
3.6kw, 4.2kw, 5kw, 5.2kw, 5.5kw, 6kw, 10kw inverters

Smart Solar Device Work On All Brands Like Axpert, MaxPower, Tesla,
Inverex, SunPower, OneX, Crown, SolarMax, Fronus, Growatt, Voltronic
etc on all of its models.

Device Setup
1st of all plug the device into the inverter in RJ45/RS232 port label with
COM Port or RS232 or Computer icon which one available.

When the device is plugged then Red Light & Blue Light will glow if it’s
not then there is no power from the inverter so external power adapter
(5v/12v) required, get the power adapter according to your device and
plug in device to power up.

You can setup the device by two methods.


(1) Android App (2) Browser

Setup By Android App

Download Smart Solar android app from play store

After installing the app Go To Settings → WiFi in mobile and connect it


with “Smart Solar”

Open Smart Solar app & Hit “+” Button → click Device Setup

On Step 1 Hit Continue

On Step 2 Enter Name (name you want to show 1-12 Alphanumeric Char) &
click Continue

On Step 3 Set Device Password (required for changing inverter settings 1-12
Alphanumeric Char) & click Continue

On Step 4 Enter Password again (if forget the password then reset the device)
& click Continue
On Step 5 Select Your WiFi and Enter Your WiFi password (here enter wifi
password) in the box & click Continue

On Step 6 click Continue to reboot the device (countdown will start, please
wait until its complete)

Device address will be set in text bar Hit Go to Add Device

Setup By Browser

Connect PC/Mobile WiFi with “Smart Solar”

Open any browser and enter 192.168.1.1 in address bar & Hit Go

Click on Config & wait for page to be loaded

Enter default password “admin” & Hit Login

Enter Name (name you want to show 1-12 Alphanumeric Char) & click Submit

Hit Continue And Set Device Password (required for changing inverter
settings 1-12 Alphanumeric Char) & click Submit

Hit Continue And verify by login again with new password (if forget the
password then reset the device) & click Login

Hit on Client Mode button & wait for page to be loaded

In SSID select your wifi name (if blank page show then refresh the page) & in
PASS enter Your WiFi password (here enter wifi password) then Submit
Click Reboot Button to save the settings (countdown will start, please wait
until its complete)

After countdown Address in address bar will be changed to device


address (bookmark/save it for monitoring or add it in app)

Device
Reset/Reconfigure
To Reset the device press & hold the reset button (reset button hole can be
found at the bottom) for 20 seconds until blue light starts flashing, when it
starts flashing release the button and wait for stable bluelight

Device will be in Default Status, setup the device by App/Browser

To Reconfigure the device to new wifi password check blue light status
(it will be already flashing), press reset button for 2-3 sec until its stable
then setup again by App/Browser

On Reconfigure process when login required enter your device old


password if password not remembered then do complete reset
Device Features
With Smart Solar Device you can Monitor inverter real time data &
change inverter settings, its features divided into multiple section to
manage them easily and available on both App/Browser

Home Section:
Here we will see inverter real time status (update interval
is 10-15 seconds) & Up to 60 Minute chart history, following data shows

equal to 1 unit)

Here inverter Fault/Error display selection by This Month
& Last Month with ability to show/hide Grid Line Fail Alert

iSetting Section:
To change inverter settings go to iSetting, here we can
change all inverter changeable settings. iSetting is password protected &
password required (password set during device setup) to change setting

Timer Section:
In Timer we can add timer to change inverter selected
setting on selected time automatically (e.g disable buzzer in night and enable
again in morning or disable grid sharing in morning and enable after noon to save
battery or any other setting)

Record Section:
In Record view inverter historical data up to 3 month in
chart view on selected day & time. On selecting Download Record we
can download the whole month inverter record in excel format (use open
office in mobile/pc to perfect view) & custom record can also be downloaded.
There is one more excited option Usage Details in record where we can
view inverter whole year usage details month by month or on selecting
month all years selected month record will show for compare solar
production / grid / inverter load

Smart Solar App Overview

In the App we can add unlimited devices & it can be easily switched with
one click

On Home screen we see inverter real time data (update interval is


10-15 seconds)

On Tapping Grid Load its swap W & A Load on Grid

There is a colour changing bar that changes colour on every update and
at the bottom last update time displayed.

If more then one device added then three lines with dot displayed on
right side of device name, click on it to switch other device

On Chart Tab inverter historical data displayed in chart format, it can be


switch to 15 Min, 30 Min, 45 Min & 60 Min interval

Chart can be zoomed by two fingers & data line can be show / hide by
clicking on its name

On Usage Tab inverter usage details show, it can switch Today,


Yesterday, This Month, Last Month data. This Month & Last Month detail
can be view day by day on selecting Show Details in chart view

On Fault Tab inverter Fault/Error reported, you can switch This Month &
Last Month data with Hide/Show Grid Line Fail Alert
In Device Menu you can view added device, update device info, delete
device, add new device, new device setup

➔ To Update Device info press and hold on device name, a popup


windows open regarding confirmation select yes to update
➔ To Delete Device press and hold on device id, a popup windows open
regarding confirmation select yes to delete
➔ To Add Device hit on + icon and enter device id/address → click Go
➔ To Setup Device hit on + icon and select Device Setup

In iSetting Menu you can change inverter settings, password required


(set durring device setup) to change setting

In Record Menu you can view inverter historical data, download record
& view Full Usage Details

In Timer Menu you can add, deleted, view & enable/disable timers,
password required (set durring device setup) to perform any action

➔ To Add timer hit + icon & follow the procedure


➔ To Enable/Disable Timer click on timer
➔ To Delete Timer click on timer & hold it until confirmation windows open
select Yes to delete

In Share Menu you can share the device address for monitoring /
managing but iSetting, Timer can only work when you told them device
password

In Support Menu you can contact the staff if you have any issue /
suggestions or found any bug we will contact back to you shortly (please
enter accurate details for fast processing)
Browser Overview

In the browser we can fully manage the inverter, on device address page
inverter real time data (update interval is 10-15 seconds) displayed & at
the bottom last 60 minutes record show in chart format.

In iSetting you can change inverter settings, password required (set


durring device setup) to change setting

In Record you can view inverter historical data, download record & view
Full Usage Details

In Usage inverter usage details show, it can switch Today, Yesterday,


This Month, Last Month data. This Month & Last Month detail show day
by day in chart view

In Fault inverter Fault/Error reported, you can switch This Month & Last
Month data with Hide/Show Grid Line Fail Alert

In Timer you can add, deleted, view & enable/disable timers, password
required (set durring device setup) to perform any action

➔ To Add timer hit Add Timer & follow the procedure


➔ To Enable/Disable/Delete Timer select the option for selected timer
Troubleshooting
Q: Device Offline message
A: Device not connected with server, please check internet connection is
working properly

Q: Internet working but still device offline


A: Check blue light status on device if its flashing then its not connected with
router please check wifi signal in iSetting, if blue light stable then unplug the
device and wait 10-15 sec then plug again & also reboot router where device
connected

Q: Device rapidly goes offline


A: WiFi signal must be weak, go to iSetting → scroll down to last & check WiFi
Signal reported it must be lower 65 to work perfectly. If it's above 65 then
change router placement or add router near Smart Solar device

Q: WiFi password changed how to reconnect


A: On Device blue light will be blinking press reset button for 2-3 seconds until
blue light got stable, connect mobile/pc wifi with “Smart Solar” & reconfigure
the device by app or browser

Q: Forget device password


A: Reset the device & setup again
