Welcome Note Thank you for Prevailing Word Ministries
International your home.
Prophet Princisca and I are so excited to have
you as part of the family. We pray that you will
be blessed and empowered as you go through
Prevailing Pathway.
PWMI was birthed in December 2011.
The Lord released into the earth an anointing that is
designed to raise an army of men and women that
love the Word of God and believe the Word.
The Word will prevail and bring forth much fruit and
lives will be changed, and hearts made glad
The church was birthed with a mandate “Son teach
my people to walk in the Word, teach them to walk
in victory, teach them to walk in financial increase…”

Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that

keepeth the law happy is he. Proverbs 29:18 (KJV)
When people do not accept divine guidance, they run
wild. But whoever obeys the law is joyful. (NLT)
Apostle Tich &
Prophet Princisca If people can't see what God is doing, they stumble all
Tanyanyiwa over themselves; but when they attend to what he
reveals, they are most blessed. (MSG)

Vision is birthed to create a ____________________ of giftings that bring about the transformation of
communities by empowering people to discover individual giftings and vision. Connecting with
the right vision causes your own giftings to blossom and flourish. A church, therefore, is not just
a place of gathering but a center of deployment.

The Shepherds Heart

1. Be diligent to know the countenance of thy cattle, and consider thy own flocks: Proverbs
27:23
2. Our heart is to help you become everything that God has called you to be.
3. We desire to see you succeed in every area of your life.
4. Everything we do in the church is designed to grow you.

So ______________ get ________________, get ______________, and let God minister to you. It is time to
flourish like the palm tree and bring forth much fruit in your life. Those that are ______________ in
the ________________ of the Lord shall be ____________ and _________________. They shall still be
bringing forth fruit in their old age.

Introductions and Expectations:
1. What are you expecting to learn?
2. What are you hoping to be able to do after these classes?

We want to achieve the following Objectives:

1. We want to introduce the Believers to the fundamentals of faith
2. We want the Believer to understand why we believe what we believe as a ministry
3. We want to establish the Believer in his/her relationship with God

The Bible on learning the Word:

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly
dividing the word of God” 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV

“For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the
first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong
meat. For every one that useth milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But
strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their
senses exercised to discern both good and evil” Hebrews 5:12-14 KJV

“And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes
in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither

Ultimately, we want to create___________________ _____________________

1. The Bible encourages connecting to a local church

Whenever the Word of God encourages us to do something, know there are benefits to
obedience.

Hebrews 10:25 - Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some [is];
but exhorting [one another]: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Acts 20:28 - Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy
Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own
blood.
Romans 12:4-5 - For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the
same office:
Acts 2:42 - And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in the
breaking of bread, and in prayers.

Romans 12:5 - So we, [being] many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of
another.
Ephesians 4:12-16 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of
the body of Christ:
2. It creates a platform for connectivity and accountability
To grow as a healthy believer there __________________ _____ _______________________ in your life.
This means connecting with other believers and a leader that has spiritual oversight over
you.
05
Importance of Church Membership
3. Needs are met amongst the brethren
Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or
houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, And laid them down at the
apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need? Act 4:34-35

Needs are not limited to finances. This may include the following.
Counseling, coaching, _____________, guidance, healing, teaching, __________________, rebuke,
_________________________, marriage partners, employment opportunities, etc.

4. It Is A Statement of Commitment
This is a sign that one is ________________ and _____________________ to the family and its well-
being.

5. Membership brings personal growth (Discipleship)

Being planted in a local church will result in ______________________ growth.
You are placed on a growth program that will help you grow as a believer

6. Allows for the discovery of personal giftings and calling

As you fellowship in the house of God you ____________________ your personal destiny.

7. It creates a platform to serve others

Being planted in a local church gives you an opportunity to serve others and this is what
Christianity is about.
Jesus came to serve, so should we (Love serves)

Power Of The Word
The Bible on Studying the Word
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly
dividing the word of God” 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV

In the Beginning
Lesson Objectives:
Understanding of creation and what happened at creation
Understanding man, his make-up, and God’s original intention for him’
Understanding of the fall of man and its consequences

Creation
“In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and
void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of
the waters” Genesis 1:1-2

God has no beginning, He always existed. At some point in the past, He began to put order
into the earth which was in a state of formlessness and emptiness and darkness. God is a
God of order and excellence.
Verse 1 would more accurately read “____________________________”. The name by which God
is introduced in Verse 1 is the Hebrew name ________________________. This means “gods” in
general. In this case, refers to the _______________________ ____________

Elohim is plural of Eloah which means deity, god, God

El – strength, mighty, _____________________, God, great, idol, power, strong
Daniel _______________________ of God/the Almighty.
Samuel ____________________ from God/the Almighty
Phanuel ____________________ of God/the Almighty.
07
Elohim – the Almighty in His plurality or in His completeness. Addressing God as a
________________________ God or as the trinity – three personalities in one. The supreme God
or the Most High.

In Genesis 2:4 God is introduced as ‘Yeh-ho-vaw’ or Jehovah, Existent or eternal, which

means the _________________________/___________________ _________. God, therefore, is the
______________-_________ God who is self-existent as a triune or three-part being.

God existed by Himself, and He was God by Himself without man or the rest of creation. At
some point in the past, He decided to create man because He wanted someone to
fellowship with. He did not want to fellowship with angels because there were lower than
Him. He wanted someone He could relate with at a ‘god’ level.

Psalm 8:4-6 You have made man a little lower than Elohim
Job 7:17-18
Hebrews 2:6-9
Ps 82:1-7
Psalms 138:1

God wants us to understand that when we were created we were supposed to operate at
____________ level.

We are made a little lower than the self-existent most high God who exists as a triune
being
We are lower because we are subject to _______________, space, __________________, and death
(physical)
So when God wanted to create man He needed a place to put Him.
As much as man was to be in the image of God (The __________________ component of man
came out of God) man will also have a physical body that will ______________, _________________
and _________________ on the earth.
This is where the creation of the earth and all that is in it came. God created the earth for
man and not man for the earth

We are the masterpiece of His creation

The Earth
08
Genesis 1:1
The word ‘beginning’ is taken from a word meaning “________________ _____ ___________ or
before anything else
Time began when God began creation, prior to that was __________________ _______________
and ____________________ _________________
Heaven – from word implying ‘the ___________________ ____________________,
The two heavens – the earth’s atmosphere is the first heaven
Second heaven – one with the galaxies

Note: God did not create the heaven that He lives in – it already existed.
God created the two lower heavens, making a total of 3 heavens.

2 Corinthians 12:2-4 the third heaven where God dwells. Job 38 – graphic description by
God Himself on how He created the earth

Creation
Day 1 - God created the _____________________ and separated the day (light) from the night
(darkness). The original light was of an intense spiritual quality and God saw that the
wicked were unworthy of enjoying it and saw that the wicked were unworthy of enjoying it.
Day 2 - God created the ___________________ or sky (heavens) and separated the waters that
were above and the waters that were below.
Day 3 - God ____________________ the __________________ (earth) from the _________________ (seas).
He commanded the earth to produce all kinds of vegetation and it was so.
Day 4 - God created the ____________________ (luminous bodies), the sun, and the moon.
Day 5 - God commanded the _______________ _______ ______________ _______________ and
____________. Then God commanded them to multiply and fill the earth/waters.
Day 6 - God created all the ____________________ that are on the earth. Then God created His
ultimate project - ___________________ (Genesis 1:26-31)

MAN – Gen 1:26-31

Man was made last after everything was in place and the earth was ready and habitable for
him. God then said to man – this is yours – be _________________, ________________,
_____________ ________ ____________, _______________ and____________________
Man is made up of three components – spirit, soul, and body. Man is a spirit being that
__________ ________ soul and_____________ _____ ___ body.

“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly, and I pray God your whole spirit, and soul and
body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Thessalonians 5:23
09
Spirit mentioned first
The spiritual part of man came out of God and is the exact ______________________ of God in
the born again believer.

Spiritual things are _________________ while physical things are ___________________. The
spiritual component was not created but ___________________

The spiritual world is not limited like the physical world. Spirits are not limited by distance,
time, and physical barriers, but man was placed in a body that limited him. Spirits are
intangible/immaterial and invisible in the natural world. It's ______________________ _____
__________________ man that we are able to contact the realm of God or the spiritual realm.

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils
the breath of life, and man became a living soul. Gen 2:7 KJV
“___________________” is taken from a word, implying “_________ _______ _______ __________” with
already existing material like a potter shapes a vessel. So, God formed man’s body – this is
what gives man the legal right to operate here on earth. Spirits are not authorized to
operate here without a physical body to sustain their operations.

Man was a lifeless lump of clay at this stage. Then God breathed into his nostrils (also face
in Hebrew) the breath of life. He literally inflated man with Himself like you would inflate a
balloon. God imparted His very life and nature into man. The phrase “breath of life” should
more accurately read the________________ _____________________ _______ ______________. It is
important to understand that it is in the plural because when God breathed into him, he
received not only one kind of life but two kinds of life.
Then man became a living soul.
The soul is the Hebrew word Nephesh - talks about __________________ ____________ _____
______________ or the ability to eat, drink breathe and do what all animals can do.

The difference between man and animals: animals have the ability to breathe, eat, and
relate with each other, which man has but _____________ _______ ___________ ________
______________ ___________ ___________ ______________ and cognitive of God.

So, the first life is that of just existing on earth but the second is the spiritual life that comes
as a result of being in vital connection or communion with God. That is why when sin came
in man died not just one death but two, firstly he died spiritually meaning a cutting off or
separation from the very life of God which was man's source of existence, and secondly
man became a mortal being – man’s body began to degenerate and his body began to age
and he became subject to sickness and disease, and ultimately his body and spirit will be
separated in the second death.

The spiritual component of man came from God and the physical component of man came
from the earth, when these two components came together man became a living soul.
Body– the third component of man 10
The soul consists of man’s mind (______________________ ___ __________________ ____________), will
(choosing for or against God), and _________________ (responding to God and the rest of His
creation)

The three elements of man's soul were in _____________________ _____________ before man
sinned. Man's spirit helps him relate with the spirit world (God) his body helps him relate
with the physical world, and the bridge between these two is the soul.

This is the makeup of man at creation when sin came man was affected in all three
dimensions.

We are here by _________________ and ____________________, not by accident.

Why did He create us?

1. ______________________ and communion with God; Gen 3:8
2. __________________________ with other human beings; Gen 2:18

To tend the garden and to dress. God designed man to be ______________________ with his
___________________ and ________________. This talks about man's ability to rule, dominate
subdue and control all that happened in the garden. To fill the earth with many people like
himself. God has always been interested in multiplication and fruitfulness.

God wants man to ___________________ _______,______________ and _________________ Him. God

demands to be believed and obeyed. When we understand man’s makeup, the creation
process, and man's purpose on earth we will be able to live victorious lives on earth and
enjoy the benefit of eternal life.
The Fall of Man
God finished creation and man is in the garden enjoying the blessings that God has so
abundantly furnished for him. The enemy’s one assignment is to _______________________ that
has the image of God on it. So Satan enters the garden and begins to talk to the woman.
________________________ from what God had told her husband in Genesis 2:16-17

The _____________________________________________ you enter into the _______________________, and

the devil is an expert in the _________________________.

Gen 3:1-6 The devil said God does not want you to ____ _____ ________ that is why He has
said you cannot eat of the fruit of that tree, go ahead and eat and you will be like Him.
But man is already in the image and likeness of God. He is also to dominate all animals
including the serpent.

She saw that the tree was desirable for the eye, to satisfy the flesh, and will give you
wisdom. All these are legitimate appetites, but they must be kept in ____________________ to.
___________________________
11
Sin is about ___________________ and ______________________ that are out of the will of God.

What is sin? Rom 5:12-14

Adam and Eve sinned. “Missed the mark” that God had set for them
Adam and Eve sinned. They disobeyed God’s commandment
They violated/broke the word/will of God

When Adam sinned, his nature changed and he took on the nature of death.

In John 8:44, Jesus said the devil sins because of his nature. Adam and Eve took on the
same nature when they sinned, and they died spiritually (separated from the life of God)

Without the life of God working in their spirits they could not consistently live life according
to God's plan therefore they miss the mark, and they don’t enjoy the benefits.

Once the nature has been changed the result is that you begin to live consistently with
your nature and those actions are what we call sins. Sins like stealing, killing, and
fornication are a result of the nature of sin that is working in man who is outside of Christ.

Consequences of sin
When God gives a commandment, it is always for the benefit of man but when man
disobeys, he exposes himself to the enemy and the consequences of his action. Man being
a free moral agent has the right to choose for or against God, he has the ability to obey or
disobey the instructions given by God. Unfortunately, man chose to _______________ God and
the consequence of his action was _________________.

God had told man that on the day he disobeys he will set in motion a law called “the law of
sin and death”. When man sinned or disobeyed God’s instruction the law of sin and death
was set in motion according to Romans 8 and because Adam was the father of all living, we
took on his genetic makeup.

The sin nature reigned in all mankind until Jesus came as the last Adam who was a life-
giving spirit. Read 1 Corinthians 15 vs. 20-22
Romans 5:12 says “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and
so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”
The fall of Adam introduced the nature of sin and everyone that was born from Adam had
that same nature. We also learn that death reigned as a result of this nature.

Ø First Death: Spiritual death –the ___________________ of God’s nature in the spirit of man
Ø Second Death: Physical death - _________________________of man (spirit) and his soul from
the body
Ø Third Death- Eternal death suffered by spirits and their souls who never received the
nature of God in their spirits. (Gen 2 v 17, John 5v 24 , Rev 20 v 12-15).
Ø There is now a great divide between God and man.
12
There is now a great divide between God and man.

God is spirit dwelling in the Spirit realm while man is carnal, dwelling in the natural realm
under the power of darkness. Col 1:3 , Eph 2:1-2

God’s nature is life while that of man outside of Christ is death. Rom 3 v 23

Man is spiritually dead and is destined for the second death as decreed in Genesis 2v17.

He needs to pay the full penalty of sin by dying and then to be reconciled back to God by
taking again the nature of God – life. Man needs to receive the life of God again – to be
born again. John 3 v 3-5.

Thus we end this lesson with a clear understanding that man outside of Chist is dead. His
only hope is a plan that God called redemption. The next lesson explores this amazing plan
that brings mankind to back into a living relationship with God.
