Li Mei: OK, Pedro. Let’s do the homework.


Pedro: Ok. We need to talk about a typical day. So what do you have for breakfast, Li Mei?

Li Mei: I always drink tea and I usually eat rice or noodles.


Pedro: For breakfast?
Li Mei: Yes, it’s a traditional Chinese breakfast. What about you?
Pedro: I eat bread, eggs, and cheese, and I drink a lot of coffee.
Li Mei: Mmm, that sounds nice. What’s a typical day for you?
Pedro: I work late so I don’t get up early in the morning. I take a shower, eat breakfast, and
then I study at home.
Li Mei: Where do you work?
Pedro: I’m a waiter in a restaurant. What about you, Li Mei?
Li Mei: I always get up early in the morning. I listen to the radio and eat breakfast.
Sometimes I go to the gym or I go shopping and then I go to my English classes.
What do you do on the weekend, Pedro?
Pedro: On Saturday, I usually play soccer with my friends, but I work in the
evening.
Li Mei: On Saturday?
Pedro: Yes, Saturday and Sunday, but I don’t I work on Monday. What about you?
Li Mei: I usually do housework and make dinner on the weekend. In the evening I watch TV
or go to the movies.
Pedro: What do you have for dinner?
Li Mei: Oh, I always eat Chinese food. What about you, Pedro?
Pedro: I usually eat at the restaurant where I work. It’s an Italian restaurant, so I eat a lot of
pasta and pizza.

Rick: There was a science fiction movie and an American western.

Rick: No, Marta hates westerns.
Demi: I went to the movies last week with two friends and we saw a western. It was terrible.
Rick: I saw a western last year and it was great.

Rick: We saw the science fiction movie and it was fantastic.
Demi: Who was in the movie?

Demi: Oh, his movies are always good. I saw a movie called The Post last year.
Rick: What kind of movie was it?
Demi: It was a drama, and the actors were Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks. I really liked it.
