NEC3 ECC Payment Application and Certificate Description and Template

Use this free downloadable template to help you create a payment application and
certificate under the NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC).

Payment on construction projects is usually regulated by legislation. You must check which
legislation applies in your jurisdiction to ensure these templates are suitable.

You can use these NEC3 ECC templates for the Contractor’s application for payment and the
Project Manager’s certificate as follows:

 Contractor’s application for payment under clause 50.4


 Project Manager’s Payment Certificate under clause 51.1
 Notify under clause 51.2 of interest on a corrected payment certificate
 Notify under clause Y2.3 of an intention to pay less than the notified sum
 Notify under clause Y2.4 of an intention to suspend performance
