Dear Students,
Summer Holidays are the most awaited ones in student’s life and we wish
that you all have a happy, safe and enjoyable holidays, but these holidays
should make you learn something each day and stay connected to your
school so here are a few tasks assigned for all of you to be completed during
your vacations. Please note that the holiday HW submission is very
important as it has marks assigned .

1. Story Time with Family
Choose any storybook or folktale available at home.
- Read it with a family member (like your parents, grandparents, or
siblings).
- After reading, discuss the story.
- Now, write a short summary of the story in your own words.
- Add a few lines about what your family member liked in the story.
- Optional: Draw a picture of your favorite scene.
2. My Family Alphabet Poem
Write a poem using the letters of the word F-A-M-I-L-Y.
Each line should begin with a letter and talk about what
family means to you.
E.g. F– Fun time with my brother and dad
A– Always there to make me glad ... and so on.
3. Family Word Hunt
- Talk to each member of your family.
- Ask them their favourite English word and what it means to them.
- Write down at least 5 family members’ words and make sentence
with each.

Mini Booklet: “Unity in Diversity”
• Create a small booklet (6–8 pages).
• Each page should cover:
o A state of India with one famous festival, food, dress, and language.
o Add pictures (drawn or printed).
• Write a short paragraph on how India remains united despite
differences.
B. Timeline Chart: From Prithvi to S- 400
• Create a timeline showing:

Independence (1947)
• Present the project neatly on A4 sheets or a chart.
Explain the strategies used during war by each civilisation. ( Hint –
read)
• Label all diagrams and pictures, use FACTS.
C. Globe or Map Model
• Make a 3D model of Earth using a ball (like a paper mache
globe or a Styrofoam ball).
• Draw or stick the Equator, Tropic of Cancer, Tropic of
Capricorn, Arctic Circle, and Antarctic Circle.
• Label the Prime Meridian and the International Date Line.
• Option: Use thread, marker, or paper strips to represent
latitudes and longitudes.
D. Chart: Types of Government
• Make a colourful chart or table showing:
o Types of government: Democracy, Monarchy, Dictatorship
o Features of each (Who rules? How are leaders chosen? Are
people involved?)
o Add examples of countries for each type

E. Poster: "What Does the Government Do?"
• Create a poster showing 5 key roles of the government:
Making laws, Maintaining law and order (police)
Providing services (schools, hospitals), Collecting taxes,
Protecting the country (army). Add illustrations and 1–2
Sentence explanations.
Financial Literacy
Activity: “My First Budget”
Objective:
I want my students to understand how to manage money by
making a simple budget.
What to Do:
“Imagine you got ₹500 as a gift. You can buy anything you
want from a list I’ll give you. But you can’t spend more
than ₹500. Think carefully about what you really want or need.”
Things to Prepare:
•A worksheet where you can write the items you
want to buy, the cost, and why you chose it.
• A list of items with prices like:
• Toy car – ₹150
• Story book – ₹120
• Ice cream – ₹50
• Puzzle game – ₹100
• Piggy bank – ₹80
• Chocolates – ₹40
• Donate to charity – ₹100
Questions:
After that, I’ll ask them a few questions like:
1. Did you spend all your money or save some?
2. Why did you choose these things?
3. Would you change anything if you did this again?
SCIENCE
Activity 1:
"Motion Model Showcase"
Objective: Create simple models that demonstrate different
types of motion — linear, rotational, and oscillatory (periodic) motion.
Materials:
Cardboard,skeweekers or straws,Bottle caps,Rubber
bands,String,Paper,Glue/tape,Scissors
Instructions:
1. Linear Motion Model: Toy Car or Slider
Use cardboard and bottle caps to make a basic car.
Show how it moves in a straight line.
You can push it and observe how it follows linear motion.
2. Rotational Motion Model: Windmill or Spinner
Use cardboard or paper to create a windmill.
Mount it on a skewer or pencil so it can spin.
Blow on it or use a fan to see rotational motion.
3. Oscillatory Motion Model: Pendulum
Use string and a small weight (like a washer or nut).
Attach it to a pencil or stick.
Swing it back and forth to demonstrate periodic motion.
Presentation:
Label each model with the type of motion.
Describe how the model works and what real-life object it
represents.
Activity 2:
"Sort - Accord"
Instructions:
Collect Materials:
Find at least 10 different materials from around your home. For
example: metal spoon, paper, glass jar, salt, plastic bottle, wooden
stick, cotton, rubber band, sugar, cloth, etc.
Test and Observe:
Carefully test each material to observe the following properties:
Hard or soft
Magnetic or non-magnetic (use a magnet)

Transparent, translucent, or opaque

1) *Math & Me” – A Personal Storybook*
Objective: Write a short illustrated story (6–8 pages) about how
math is used in daily life (shopping, cooking, sports scores, travel
etc.)
Skills Covered: Application of numbers, decimals, unit
conversion, and time.
2) *Math Art Project – “Geometric Mandalas”*
Objective: Use a compass, ruler, and protractor to create
colorful mandalas using circles, triangles, and other geometric shapes.
Skills Covered: Geometry, symmetry, patterns.
3) *Math Crossword or Puzzle Creation”*
Objective: Create your own crossword or number puzzle based
on topics covered in class like integers, HCF/LCM, algebra.

I. Choose any one of the following:
Make a poster on "10 Tips to Keep Your Computer Safe" in A4 sheet.

Draw a comic strip showing how a child saves their computer from a virus using
antivirus software.
II. Practical Activity
Do the following with the help of a parent or guardian:
1. Check if your home computer has antivirus software. What is its name?
2. Try changing your password to something strong (ask an adult for help).
3. List 3 websites you visit often. Are they safe? How do you know?
III. Practical Excel Activity
Create an Excel file with the following:
1. Marks Sheet Table
Create a table showing the marks of 5 subjects for 5 students. Add the following:
A. Calculate Total Marks using the SUM function.
B. Calculate Average Marks using the AVERAGE function.
C. Use MAX and MIN functions to find the highest and lowest marks in each row.
