RailMap 360: A Multi-Platform Navigation for Seamless Station Experience
We are looking for a solution by creating an Multi-platform application that will serve as a navigation system for the railway
Passengers to get rid of the complex environment with the help of modern technologies.
Whenever passenger wants to avail any kind of facility provided by the Railway authority such as ticket counters,
platforms, restrooms, food courts, and waiting areas then they can open the application and give permission to access their
Location, after that every possible facility at the platform will show up automatically on a map.
From that passenger will click on the particular facility or tell on navigation bar where they want to visit ,
Now the application will detect and will give every Specific detail of the facility like the platform number , its location on
the map .
Passenger will simply follow the navigation given by the application to reach to their desired destination.
As an extra feature:- The application will also show the details of the trains such as Upcoming train name , which platform
its going to stand ,The destination its going to and also the details of the train already standing at the platform.

Flowchart Explanation:
User Opens Application: The flowchart begins with the user opening the application.
User Logs in with IRCTC Account: The user logs in using their IRCTC credentials.
Login Successful? A decision point checks if the login is successful.
Yes: The application proceeds to request location permission.
No: The application displays an error message.
Is User at Platform? The application checks if the user is at a railway platform.
Yes: The application shows trains (both arriving and standing) and available facilities on the map.
No: The application displays a message indicating that the user is outside the platform.
User Selects Facility: The user selects a facility, such as a food court or ticket counter.
Navigate User to Selected Facility: The application provides navigation directions to the selected facility.
User Reaches Destination: The flowchart ends with the user reaching the selected facility.

Freight FEASIBILITY AND VIABILITY
innovators
Feasibility:
1.Mapping and Localization: Creating accurate 3D maps and ensuring real-time location tracking within the station is challenging but feasible with
advanced GPS, Bluetooth beacons, or indoor positioning systems (IPS).
2.Integration: Integrating the navigation system with existing railway apps and services requires robust APIs and data synchronization capabilities.
3.User Interfaces: Developing intuitive interfaces for various platforms (touchscreens, voice-guided systems) involves expertise in UI/UX design and
accessibility.
4.Maintenance Costs: Regular updates, system maintenance, and customer support add to ongoing expenses.
5.Data Management: Handling and updating real-time data for trains and facilities requires robust data management and processing systems.
Potential Challenges :
1.As of recent estimates, India has around 7,325 railway stations. So creating three dimensional maps of every station is very hectic.
2.Whenever in a station a new facility or any kind of change happens , It needs be constantly updated.
3.As the application needs a strong internet connection , many people in India don’t have access to it so they wont be able to use it by there own.
Solutions:
1.As a solution to the 1 and 2 problem , we can basically cover 20% of the stations at first then tell our users or the station Authority to click photos And
upload it on a given email provided on the app and from the photos with the help with AI , we can generate their 3D Models and similarly we can update
also . After a limit of photos given by the user , they will receive a coupon On their email which they can use later on any station.
2.Stations can contain basic computer systems with internet access placed at different visible locations for the passengers.

Freight IMPACT AND BENEFITS
Innovators
IMPACT:
1.Enhanced Passenger Experience: Improved navigation and real-time information can reduce confusion and stress for
passengers, leading to a more pleasant travel experience.
2. Accessibility: Voice-guided navigation and interactive maps can significantly benefit visually impaired passengers,
promoting inclusivity.
3. Efficiency: By providing accurate and timely information, passengers can make informed decisions, potentially
reducing delays and improving overall efficiency.
4. Increased Satisfaction: Enhanced facilities and navigation tools can lead to higher passenger satisfaction and
potentially attract more travelers to the railway system.
BENEFITS:
1.Increased Revenue: Enhanced passenger experience can lead to increased use of station facilities and services,
boosting revenue for shops and services within the station.
2.Data Collection: The system can provide valuable data on passenger movement and behavior, which can be used for
further improvements and planning.
