SECTION-B
This section includes 3 questions carrying 1 mark each.
Question No. 8 to 10 consist of two statements- Assertion (A) and Reason(R). Answer
these questions selecting the appropriate option given below:
8. Assertion(A)- If the distance travelled by the body is directly proportional to the square
of time taken , then its speed is increasing with time .
Reason(R)- The speed is equal to the time rate of change of distance.
(A)Assertion and reason both are true and reason is the correct explanation
of the assertion.
(B)Assertion and reason both are true but reason is not the correct
explanation of the assertion.
(C) Assertion is true reason is False.
(D) Reason is true and assertion is False.
9. C Assertion- In rainy season, humidity level is quite high.
Reason- In rainy season, air is already saturated with water vapours.
(A)Assertion and reason both are true and reason is the correct explanation
of the assertion.
(B)Assertion and reason both are true but reason is not the correct
explanation of the assertion.
(C) Assertion is true and reason is False.
(D) Reason is true and assertion is False.
10.B Assertion- Membrane bound cell organelles are absent in prokaryotes.
Reason- Hereditary material DNA lies freely in the cytoplasm.
(A)Assertion and reason both are true and reason is the correct explanation
of the assertion.
(B)Assertion and reason both are true but reason is not the correct
explanation of the assertion.
(C) Assertion is true and reason is False.
(D) Reason is true and assertion is False.
