to sound out through a game. Alphabet window. The pupil called will pick a
number on the fishbowl. The number picked corresponds a letter to be sound
out.

1. Presentation
Let the teacher present flashcards. The teacher models the sounding out of
the letters then calling volunteer/s to read, then by group, by triads and pair.

ll and model the blending of the sounds.

FIND YOUR PAIR
The teacher will prepare cards with the letters e, g, n, t and ll and distribute them
to the class making sure that each one will receive a card. Ask the pupils to look at
the card that they are holding and find another card from their classmates that
contains the letter which will form et, en, eg, ed and ell. Once they found their pair,
ask them to blend the sounds.
