The next part of the verse says “the old has gone.

” These words remind

us that even though everyone does things that are wrong, we can ask for

God’s for giveness when we do wrong things. When God forgives our

sins, we can ask His help to live in the new ways God wants us to live.

What kinds of things would you like to change to show your love for

God and others?

Talking to God

We can ask God to change the way we think and act. That is how we

become new creations. We don’t have to think about the old things

we’ve done any more. We can stay focused on the new ways that God

wants us to live and act. Let’s pray and ask God to help us be come new

creations for Him. Pick the person who is wearing the most green to

pray today. Lead children in prayer
