Insulation for Chilled Water Pipes/Accessories:
Chilled Water pipes Insulation characteristics can compile with fire rating
requirements as per tender docs. Material shall be resistant to growth of Fungus as
per ASTM C 1338 and re sistant to growth of Bacteria as per ASTM E 2180. The
material shall also be UV and Ozone resistant Insulation used shall be closed cell
elastomeric foam made from Nitrile rubber with minimum 40-60 Kg / m3 density and
thermal conductivity not exceeding 0.035 W/MK or better at 10 deg mean temperature
class ‘O’ insulation applied by suitable adhesive complete including repairing of
damage to building etc. as per specifications and as required complete in all
respect.Insulation shall be provided with a cover of woven treated Glass Cloth. The
overlap of the sheet shall be sealed with a felt to prevent water ingress.
Pipe size up to 50mm the insulation thickness shall be 32mm.

INSULATION WORKS
SITC of Thermal Insulation (Inside Building) : Supply & Fixing Duct thermal insulation
with Closed cell anti-fungal & anti-bacterial elastomeric foam made from EPDM
rubber with Alu foil having drensity 40-60 kg/m³. Material shall have fire class A (Flame
spread:20 & Smoke developed: 150) in accordance with ASTM E-84 and flamabillity
class V-0 as per UL 94. Thermal Conductivity is 0.035 w/m.k at 24°C mean
temperature and having µ value ≥ 7000 without any covering. Material shall be Anti-
fungal & Anti-Bacterial in accordance with UL181 and ASTM E2180 respectively.

SITC of Acoustic Insulation : Supply and fixing of acoustic Insulation of open cell
nitrile rubber sheet having density of 180-220 kg/m³. Absorption coefficient value of
Insulation material shall be 0.90 for the 2000 Hz frequency band in accordance to
IS:8225/ISO:354/ASTM 423C. Material shall have fire class 1 as per BS 476 , part 7.
Material Shall be EPA approved and Anti-Fungal & Anti- Bacterial in accordance with
ASTM G21 & ASTM E 2180 respectively. It shall be fixed inside of the duct with the
help of adhesive as per the specifications

SITC of Acoustic Insulation of AHU Room wall / Return Air Box : Supplying, fixing
open cell nitrile rubber sheet having density of 180-220 kg/m3 and recommanded
thickness of 20 mm. Absorption coefficient value of Insulation material shall be 0.90 for
the 2000 Hz frequency band in accordance to IS:8225/ISO:354/ASTM 423C. Material
shall have fire class 1 as per BS 476 , part 7. Material Shall be EPA approved and
Anti-Fungal & Anti- Bacterial in accordance with ASTM G21 & ASTM E 2180
respectively. It shall be fixed inside of the surface with the help of adhesive as per the
specifications given.

SITC of Underdeck Insulation : Supply & Fixing Thermal Insulation under RCC slab
with PIR boards having density of 45 kg/m3 and recommended thickness of 20 mm
with both side FSK facing. Material shall have thermal conductivity of 0.021 W/m.K @
10℃ mean temperature confirming to ASTM C518 & thermal resistance of 5.408 ˚F ft2
hr/BTU. It shall have burning rate of 6 mm confirming to IS:11239 & water absorption
of 0.61% confirming to ASTM D2842. Material shall possess Tensile strength of 395.9
kPa confirming to BS 4370, Compressive strength of 116 kPa confirming to IS:11239
& bending strength of 947 kPa confirming to IS:11239 as well. Material shall have
water vapour permeability of 0.017 ng/s.m.Pa confirming to ASTM E96. It shall be
fixed under RCC slab with the help of G.I wire & screw washer system & completes as
per guidelines given in application manual.
