Position: Data Scientist

Grade: DM-II

Location: Head Office – New Delhi

Qualification: MS/M.Tech /MBA and BS / B.Tech. in a field with significant computing &
quantitative training such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance etc

Post qualification experience: 5+ years

Industry Experience: Experience in FMCG industry (preferred) or Data Science & AI/ML /
Management consulting experience

Reporting: Deputy General Manager (SIA)

Job Profile:

Our data science team needs Data Scientist with the capability to perform independent/team
statistical analysis and Machine Learning to develop production-grade algorithms for our business
growth using data driven product. Exceptional data scientist with a zest for exploring new
techniques & technologies and is passionate about science of experimentation. Individuals should
also be able to break down complex business problems into smaller components and implement
statistical models & AI/ML approaches to empower the end business decisions.

Job Description:

 Able to apply & develop the AI/ML rich data products for a relevant business use case.
 Create possibilities to create AI & gen AI application in business domain.
 Understanding the needs of different stakeholders and designing appropriate solutions
 Gathering data from various sources, data transformation and data warehousing.
 Exploratory data analysis and data visualization.
 Building data pipelines for analysis and ML algorithms
 Helping with various experimentations during the exploration and development phase.
 Creating meaningful metrics to measure various processes.
 Communicating results and proposals in a clear manner to all involved parties.
 Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analysis, models -
development, validation, implementation of models.
Competencies:
1. 5+ years of work experience in core data analytics. (Preferably with some experience in
FMCG data, Sales data)
2. Have minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in R or Python
3. Preferably have explored and developed at least a prototype in GenAI
4. Have worked on at least 2 to 3 of the following techniques: Linear Regression, Logistic
Regression, Decision Tree, K – means Clustering, Hierarchical Clustering, Time Series
Forecasting and Neural Network
5. Able to convert analytics insight to business Insight. Able to communicate (verbal &
written both) the analytics result to both technical audience as well as to strategic &
management audience.
6. Have experience in collection, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of
information from semi unstructured data sources (Excel, Csv, flat files & combination of
these with databases)
7. Strong people skill. Have understanding of working with cross functional teams
8. Able to understand the importance of QC and have strong attention to detail.
9. Preferably from Tier-1 institute with degree in either of Mathematics, Engineering,
Computer Science, Business Management
10. Critical thinking and attention to details
11. Eagerness and curiosity to learn and apply new techniques.
