Registration and Choice Filling
Admission into State Government Engineering Colleges under Directorate of
Technical Education,
Government of Assam – 2025
Introduction
This user manual is a step by step guide for the entire form fill-up process for Admission
into State Government Engineering Colleges under Directorate of Technical Education,
Government of Assam, 2025 which includes registration, choice filling, payment of fee
and submission of form.
1. Login Registration Process
1. Visit DTE, Assam website https://dte.assam.gov.in and click on the “Admission
into State Government Engineering Colleges under Directorate of Technical
Education, Government of Assam, 2025 for the session 2025-26” and follow
the link for registration and form fill up.
2. Read the USER MANUAL, Information Brochure (available in this portal)
and FAQ available in the menu on top carefully before proceeding.
3. Click on New Registration. Enter your “CEE-2025 Application Number” and Date
of Birth (DOB). After entering CAPTCHA, continue by pressing the “Register” button.
Note: Applicants must use their own email and mobile number as they
will be used for further communication till the admission process is over.
DTE, Assam will not be responsible for the candidates not receiving any
important communication due to entry of wrong and/or others email/
mobile no. during registration.
6. After you click the “Register” button, an OTP will be sent to your email and/or
mobile. Enter the OTP and the captcha to complete the registration process.
Remember the password created by you for future login.
7. After successful registration, you will need to log in by entering your
Application No. and password (created during registration) and then
proceed to start the form fill up process.
Note: This is the initial registration process for your Login account only and all the
further steps must be completed fully for successful participation in the
Counselling Process. The next step is to login and complete the Form fill up process.
2. Form Fill-Up
Things to do before starting the form fill up process
Following scanned documents are required during the form fill up process:
a. Scanned copy of age proof as mentioned in the Information Brochure
b. ID proof document [Any one of the original and valid Photo Identification Proof
issued by the Government – Pan Card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ 12th Class Board
Admit or Registration Card/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With Photograph)/ E-
Aadhaar/ Ration Card/ Aadhaar Enrolment No with Photo.]
c. Class 10 marksheet & certificate,
d. Class 12 marksheet & certificate,
e. Diploma /Degree Certificate (if applicable),
f. Documents required to avail Govt School Quota (if applicable),
g. Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) or PRC Application receipt (in case if final
PRC is not issued yet). An undertaking will have to be uploaded as per format
provided if PRC is not currently available.
h. Caste/Category certificates (if applicable).
i. Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) Certificate for applicants applying under OBC/MOBC-
NCL quota. The NCL Certificate issue date must be on or after 1st April 2024. If not
available, an undertaking will have to be uploaded as per format provided for
consideration as UR Category in subsequent counselling subject to availability of
seats.
j. EWS Certificate for applicants applying under EWS Quota. Income certificate for the
candidates applying under EWS quota. The EWS Certificate issue date must be on
or after 1st April 2024. If not available, an undertaking will have to be uploaded as
per format provided for consideration as UR Category in subsequent counselling
subject to availability of seats.
k. NCC/Sports certificate for the candidates applying under NCC/Sports quota.
l. PwD certificate (UDID) for the candidates applying under PwD quota.
m. Community Certificate for the six communities (Koch-Rajbongshi, TGLC/Ex-TGLC,
Tai-Ahom, Moran, Matak, Chutia) under OBC/MOBC-NCL. (if applicable)
n. Relevant certificates for the applicants applying under Central Government
Employee (CGE) quota as mentioned in the Information brochure
Note: PRC holders of Assam are not eligible to apply under CGE quota even if their
father and/or mother are a Central Government employee. This quota is reserved
for Son/Daughter of Central Government / Central Government Public Sector
undertaking (CGE) employees who are posted in Assam for less than 20 (twenty)
years and are not Permanent Residents of Assam. Permanent residents of Assam
applying under CGE quota will be rejected.
1. Log in to your account and you will land in the User Home page.
2. The first step of the registration process is to Complete your Profile. Click on
“Complete Profile”. Some of your details will be pre-filled from the data
provided by you during form-fill up for CEE-2025.
5. Verify your details and enter the necessary additional details as required.
6. Additionally as per your Caste/Category selection during form-fill up for CEE-
2025, you will have to enter additional details like Certificate No., Issue Date,
etc.
For OBC/MOBC-NCL applicants you will have to additionally upload the NCL
Certificate/undertaking. If you are unable to produce the NCL certificate,
your allotted seat will be cancelled. In that case, you will be considered as UR
in the subsequent rounds of counseling and a fresh seat will be allotted under
UR category, subject to availability.
In case of applicants who chose a subcategory of OBC/MOBC-NCL ( Moran,
Motak, Tai-Ahom, etc.) will be displayed in Sub Category and necessary
supporting documents will need to be uploaded.

6. Complete the Personal Details, Family Details, Other Category/Quota,
Address and click on “Save and Next” to continue.
8. A Preview page will be displayed, carefully check all your details. If any details
are to be changed / updated, click on the “Update” button and make necessary
changes. Click on “Proceed to Next”
9. In the next page, enter your Other Details and then proceed by pressing “Save
and Next” . Similar to the previous step, you’ll be shown a preview. Continue
by clicking “Proceed to Next”.
10. The next section is the “upload” page, you will have to upload all the relevant
documents and/or undertakings.
11. In the corresponding field press “Select File” and select the file, then click on
“Start Upload”.
Repeat this for all fields. Finally after all documents are uploaded, click on “Final
Preview” to continue. (You also have the option to “Save as Draft” if you wish
to save the progress and continue later)
12. Upon clicking on “Final Preview”, check all the details entered by you in the
final preview page as changes cannot be made to Profile after the next step.
13. Click on “Submit and Lock”, click the confirmation tick box and then continue
by clicking “Confirm and Lock”.
14. Your profile details are now updated in the system.
3. Choice Filling
After locking the profile details, the following window will appear:
Select Bachelor (Under-Graduate Programme) in the Programme Level field.
The next field to be selected is whether the applicant is a “Diploma in Engineering” under
SCTE “OR” have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) as subjects.
This is associated with the eligibility for choice of branches in Engineering, so
carefully answer this query consulting the necessary eligibility criteria as given in
table below.

Note: An applicant may select up to 31 preferences. However, selecting at least 3
preferences is mandatory. Details of the institutions and programmes offered are
provided in the Information Brochure. Applicants are advised to select their
preferences carefully. The 1st preference should correspond to the institution and
programme in which the applicant has the highest interest/preference.
Subsequent preferences should be listed in order of priority as per the applicant’s
choice.
Please note that during upgradation, a candidate who has been allotted a
preference in a particular round will be considered for upgradation only to higher
preferences, strictly as per their selected choices and subject to availability of
seats.
After selecting all your preferences in order, click on “Proceed”. You can preview and
check the preferences chosen by you in this confirmation preview. If you wish to edit your
preferences, you can do so by clicking on the “Update” button. If your preferences and
choices are correct then click on Next to go to the next step, i.e. Academic details.
4. Academic Details
Fill in your relevant academic data correctly in this page.
Note: Do not enter any wrong information as it will be detected during verification
and your application will get rejected. Fill the form only if you are eligible. Check
the eligibility criteria in the Information Brochure.
After filling the academic details, you will be asked to upload the marksheet and
certificate of class 10, class 12 or/and diploma(if diploma holder). Provisional certificate
is also acceptable in case the original certificate is not yet issued.
After updation click on “Final Preview” and check all the details. If everything is correct
and found to be ok then click on Submit and the following screen will appear.
Check the boxes in the verify section and click on “Payment Gateway SBI” to proceed for
payment.
5. Payment and form Submission
A payment amount of Rs. 800/- (rupees eight hundred only) (non-refundable) will
have to be paid.
The following options are available for making payment:
After completing the payment, the application will be redirected to the dashboard and
form will be submitted. You can check the status of form submission on your dashboard.
Candidates are advised to take a printout of the application form by clicking on the
“Print Application” button, after successful submission of the application, for
future references, as it will be required during admission.

without waiting for the last date, to avoid the last minute hassle.
