Code of Ethics

https://www.pmi.org/-/media/pmi/documents/public/pdf/ethics/pmi-code-of-ethics.pdf

Reference: "Someone in higher authority,

who can stand for you if asked, and understands the work you did."
supervisor, manager,
client, end user
NOT a team member
NOT a peer.

PMI will never contact your reference.

If you are selected, PMI will provide you a pdf
- you will work with your reference to fill it out and sign
- you will return in 90 days.

Let's not make this complicated:

REference
* your immediate or higher supervisors
* project decisions makers (authorities on the project)
- clients, end users, etc
* any other executives who understand the work you did.

Much more detail in ECO and the PMP handbook.

I suggest you just start and fill it out to your current abilitry

If you still lack confidence, you can ask support for someone to review.

THis class is not just about predictive (traditional) pm.

50% of the exam is about agile/hybrid.

We will prepare for this.

- What do I need to do for this class right now?

------------------------------------------------
* Start a journal, write down the topics that confuse you.

* Download, organize content you have access to. Review it

for future reference.

* Start the self-learning content now. See if you can stay

ahead of the slides we cover in class. Again, capture the
topics and concepts you don't understand.

* We'll get into out-of-class assignments and practice

questions soon enough; for now, get in a routine of
regularly attending and reviewing class.

11:53 AM 8/15/2022

I have lots of open questions. If I don't answer them post-session,

I'll start answering them outside of class and leave the answers in the notes.
I can even carry some questions into the forum (you can too if you need to)
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/5k9kn7k0l0um04r/AABfAIC-YRpt9zycyH6n4xrXa?dl=0
right now, there are no files in this folder.
I copy them after class is over.
I copy them after class is over.
I copy them after class is over.
I copy them after class is over.
I copy them after class is over.

* i have completed almost 88% self learning, i m thinking to

take assessment exams after live classes, whats your thought in it?
If you have confidence in your grasp of the concepts, please
do.

If you have questions that confuse you, share on forum

or after class and we can review together.

* Please keep track daily how many times I am asked this question...
"How do I prepare?"
Current average for EVERY SESSION
3 times.

I will provide the same answer:

1) it's in the FAQ, review and we can discuss details
2) in Week three, we go over details in class
3) a simple model: this class, do what is needed
to kee3p up

After this class is over

daily repetitions of 1 hour
of sitting as if in the real
exam, and tracking performance
and progress

When scoring 80-=85% correct,

schedule your exam (generally
4-8 wks)

This gives you a 95-above% chance

of passing the first time.

If you're comfortable having

a LOWER probability of passing,
please take shortcuts, and I'll
assist as I can.

f* Whatdo I need to think about for tomorrow?

Igave instructions in the session notes:
*download and organize contents
*review and keep a journal on concepts you
don't fully understand
* work through the pre-recorded content on lms.simplilearn.com

TOmorrow I have a schedule, progress reports

and even a backlog we will use to manage our
progress.

* Why do some have to do projects and others not?

(PMI has determined this, and we follow PMI's recommendation)

PMI has a set of content they want you to go through

(pmi.lochoice.com)

We make that optional, and worked with PMI to

figure out another way to prepare and have a valid
35 hour certificate. That other way requires
projects.

* do we have to recertify after change ?

every 3 years you recertify.
It requires 20 hrs per year
- formal training
- lecturing, leading, mentoring
- studying
- writing articles, presenting

do 60 hours of the above, and all you

do is pay a small fee to retain your PMP
IF YOUR certificate doesn't expire.

* You all are just like the other 10,000 people I taught.
The same frustrations, the same expe3ctations,
the same "manager attitude."
You gtet to set that aside for this class...

* examples of 'leading, directing projects' in IT

What kind of mind set the Project Manager should have? Generally if any project
manager approach technical team, always there is a mind set with technical team
that he/she is just a project manager he / she doesn’t know anything related to
technical what they are working. Kind of treatment with others for project manager
is little different, how to handle this at first
from Kadiatou Cisse to All Participants:

REAL PMP exam

and then they ask you to re-apply.

from Shiv Kumar mishra to All Participants:

cant we have internal group of all the pariticipant for common interatcion platform
and doubt session discussion

We have a forum thread that was set up for us. See the notes
for the link.

Why does SImplilearn say no to whatsapp?

1) students have a habit of sharing phone numbers,
aND THIS gets into the recordings. As recordings
are shared, we have juswt broken trust.

we ask that you don't share personal information.

2) if you absolutely must

- we have a forum you can discuss
- if forum and class aren't good enough
work outdside forum and class to figure it out.
