Introduction
Our world today is based off of technology and one form of technology in particular seems to control
us more than we control it. Cell phones. The iPhone in particular is one of the most popular forms of
technology in the world. On June 29, 2007, Apple released the first iPhone ever (Nguyen). The
public had mixed feeling on the newest touch screen phone, some thought it was a step towards a
greater future in technology and others thought it was too complicated and technology is moving too
fast for mankind. Little did we know that the iPhone would become the most popular smartphone in

Apple has gone from the original iPhone released in 2007 to the new iPhone 6 and 6 plus
released this month, 7 years later (Ritchie 1). Before the iPhone, Black Berry ruled the smartphone
world with a full keyboard and a rotating ball that you used to control a mouse (McKeen, Price 5).
The iPhone was the first true touchscreen phone on the market that grabbed people s attention. Ever
since the first release of the iPhone, sales have increased every year for every new iPhone that
Apple releases.
Figure 1: Growth in iPhone Sales

Ever since the release of the original iPhone, sales every quarter and every year have continued to
increase and they are expected to continue increasing. Apple has always directed the design of
their iPhones to be easy hand help devices. However, HTC, Samsung, and Motorola have been
producing smart phones with screens around 5 inches while Apple produces iPhones around 4
inches (Mossberg). People however, seem to like a bigger screens and iPhone soon realized that
the iPhone had one of the smallest screens on the market and people began moving to a larger
screened phone (Mossberg). With the iPhone in a steady competition with Samsung, Motorola and
other smart phone companies, Apple produced in many peoples opinion, the best smartphone on the
market (Mossberg). The iPhone 6 now contains a 4.7 inch display compared to the iPhone 5s s 4
inch display and the even bigger iPhone 6
Communication Through Language
In this essay, my intention is to discuss the question of how problems can be solved through
knowledge by looking at communication through language. Communication is much more than just
speech, it is the act of transferring information from one person to another, and it is known for being
the key to success Paul J. Meyer. Communicationthrough language is one of the most important
ways in which people express their thoughts and ideas in words. The use of language is the most
important integral part of our daily life (Cambridge Institute) believes Cambridge Institute of foreign
language. They say that without languages, we cannot interact with anyone and life will be so bland
and lonely (Cambridge Institute). To investigate in more depth... Show more content on

Business communication can be seen as a problem solving activity in which people are able to
answer certain questions like: What is the situation? What is the best path of action? How can we
solve this problem? Communication through language in a business is the perfect necessity for
building a team to make a business become successful. For a business to consist of an efficient
team, interaction amongst the employees is extremely important, especially as a team leader. A team
leader has the control over the business and must have vital communication skills in order to convey
the needs and expectations of the business to the employees. And in order to fulfill the business its
goals, it is important that the leader encourages the employees to do the best they can. This, of
course, is done by communication through language. Good communication prevents
misunderstandings during any situation at the working place. When employees are able to
communicate in a good manner, problems can be solved and some can even be avoided, however in
a business, communication skills are not only important for the employees, but they are extremely
important in the business as a whole as well. (Why Business Communication Is So Important) This
is because a business works in different departments that need to work collaboratively as one in
order to get to the final product, and the process of getting to the final product requires the daily
interaction between the business workers through meetings where any issues are discussed and
The Importance Of Music Education
It is important to understand how music education advocacy was started and how it has changed
over the years. Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan, of New York is quoted saying the following about
music education: Knowledge is a form of capital, much of it formed by government investment in
education...Politics has become a process that deliberately seeks to affect such outcomes as who
thinks what, who feels how (Mark). The significance of Moynihan s statement set the foundation of
music educationadvocacy in terms of a political standpoint. Mark also hits on the topic that Music
Educationshould have it s own advocate. By, having an individual advocate, they can better explain
the importance of music education to the general public and policy makers.
To begin, advocacy for music education goes as far back as 1838 with Lowell Mason. Mason is a
significant advocate, he is the one who persuaded the Boston School Committee to include music as
a curricular class. In doing so, with Lowell Mason as inspiration, across the country more towns, and
cities began bringing music into their curriculum. Although there was advocacy present with the
efforts of Lowell Mason, formal advocacy did not start until 1966. MENC, at the time known as the
Music Educators National Conference, had the upcoming Tanglewood Symposium, appointed Joan
Gaines the director of the newly formed public relations program.
Additionally, with appointing Joan Gaines as the director of the public relations program
Deductive Databases
\subsection{Deductive Databases}

In the field of deductive databases there has been extensive research on the optimization of queries
for Datalog (and its variants). The major interest has been the optimization of recursive queries. Ceri
et al~\cite{ceri gottlob tanca 1989} provide an excellent summary of the field. The evaluation or
comparison of optimization strategies is typified by Bancilhon and
Ramakrishnan~\cite{br1986,br1988} who develop analytical cost models for the optimization
strategies when applied to four queries (related to the parent and ancestor relations) and then
generate numerical data from the analytical models using synthetic data driven by three shapes tree,
inverted tree, and cylinder for the ``family ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
\item A new genomics query benchmark framework is developed to help the evaluation of the
efficiency and effectiveness of the graph database system with visual queries in a standard and
systematic way. It consists of a genomics domain model, a benchmark database with the raw data
sets based on the real world genome sequencing and annotation scenarios, a set of test queries and
several performance metrics. The genomics benchmark database has five typical fungal species data
that are of interest to the fungal genomics research community.

\item A visual query language is designed based on the existing visual metaphor of genome
browsers. Its semantics via an algebra and translation to SQL3 are provided. It incorporates a type
system for genomics data with a set of topological and logical operations. New operations can be
designed using function composition based on the data model. The operations have equivalent
translation to SQL3. The algebra provides the semantics for the visual query language and facilitate
a visual query language implementation based on this algebra. A database architecture using a
visual query language based on this algebra is proposed.

\end{itemize}

horrendous crime was committed for over a decade and was covered up by the top leaders of the
university community. The crime was committed by an assistant coach of penn state university. His
victims were young boys that came through his second mile charitable organization program that
was established for at risk young boys in the community of Pennsylvania. These victims were
between the ages of 10 and 15 years. The paper also examined the leadership role of the head coach
Joe Paterno who was the top leader in the football team who also knew about horrific crime
committed against these minor young boys but decided not to report to the law enforcements

Ronald Shreffler recorded the victim s mother throughout a call with Sandusky. According to court
papers showed that Sandusky acknowledged that he showered with the victim, as well as with
others boys. The victim s mother cuts off contact with Sandusky after a second call, he tells her, I
wish I were dead, according to court documents.
On June 1, Jerry Lauro, an investigator from the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, takes
part in an interview of Sandusky by Shreffler. According to the grand jury report, Sandusky admits to
hugging the boy in the shower, and says he will never shower with young children again. Another
boy was interrogated by Shreffler who reported similar treatment reported by the 6th Victim. But the
investigation ends after District Attorney Ray Gricar decided the case warranted no criminal
charges. Shreffler reported to the grand jury that Thomas Harmon, who headed the campus police,
told him to close the inquiry. Subsequent investigative reported that Sandusky retired from Penn
State s football program in the year 1999, but with an emeritus label that allowed him continued
access to campus facilities, including the locker room and an office in the latch football
The Battle Between God And Science
The Battle Between God and Science When children are little they ask simple questions like Why
is the sky blue? , but as they grow older they ask tougher questions like Does God exist? and if so
Why have I never seen him? Parents easily brush these questions off with You don t have to see him
to know he exists , but that only makes the child more frustrated. That s where parents are wrong
though in order to believe then Godmust be seen; it s the only logical way that people understand
things. That s where the science of it all comes into play. Evolutionis an analytical conclusion to how
the world began and developed to become what it is today, gives people a general idea where they
derived from, and physical evidence that proves... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Birds that are born in warmer climates have a thinner lining of feathers so they can be cooler, and
people born in colder climates are considered to have thicker skin in order to survive. Who does
this? God; is he the one that says I m going to make those northerners warm, and those southerners
cool, and if so, then why not change the entire climate instead of changing the people to fit the
climate? Why would God create man for the pure fact that his creation not be able to survive the
environment? There is no common sense in that. ...evidence that makes it a fact partly is fossil
evidence partly comparative evidence looking at modern species and comparing their bones,
their organ structures generally, especially their genes at a molecular level; this is extremely
persuasive and powerful evidence (Dawkins). From fossils it can be determined how long
something has been dead, along with the depth of their positions, a scientist can determine how
long those bones have been in the earth. Where the fossil was found can also help determine
genealogy of the species. Earlier this year a jawbone of the species called Homo was found along
the sands in Ethiopia. Said fossil is supposed to be approximately 2.8 million years old . With that
being said, if the world was supposedly created 6,000 years ago, then how could such a thing exist? It
couldn t. When you understand anything...the Earth is patently

The branch of science in which food science is used for manufacturing and preservation of food
products is known as food technology. It is basically the study of physical, chemical and
microbiological composition of the food. According to the rules and regulations given by the
government, the food is processed, preserved, packaged and stored. A large variety of food products
is manufactured by the food processing industry which includes primary food material like rice and
wheat products, oil, sugar and pulses. They are processed to convert into edible form. The various
branches of food technology are:
Chemistry: Contents of the material, color, changes observed during processing storage, flavor of
the food stuff.
Biology: Micro organism growth, post harvest storage, spoilage, food Poisoning
Engineering: Processing Technology, packaging, mixing.
Nutrition: Health and safety issues, labels.

Food Technology Conference aims at bringing scientific and industrial community together from
various sectors of the domain. The other bodies which can participate along with the food sector
include Fisheries, Animal Production and Health and Plant Production. Modern food technology
methods and related research in the area is the highlight of the conference. Organizations such as
