This caused a conflict between the two groups, which still hasn t been solved, and has caused the
Israelis and the Palestinians to be mistrustful and suspicious towards each other. This feeling of
mistrust and suspicion affected later decisions held by both groups, and no doubt hindered the peace.
This outlook also affected the general attitude of the people, which has made it difficult for them to
accept each other. In the case of the Palestinians, they had refused to accept the fact that Israel was a
state. The Palestinians also grew to resent the Israelis, thinking that they had taken over the

Another long term cause that has contributed to the feeling of fear and hatred for both the Israelis

American politician and diplomat. What Madeleine Albright means is that when you strive, you are
not only have a chance of success, but you are giving faith and other good qualities to your
surroundings. This is a lesson that Santiago learns throughout his whole journey. In the novel, The
Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho, Santiago learns, When we strive to become better, everything around us
becomes better, too. First, Santiago arrives at a crystal shop and works there to earn back money
he had lost. Next, while Santiago is walking, he a has a vision of a terrible war. Finally, Santiago
strives to turn himself into the wind.
First, when Santiago first arrives at the crystal shop, he spends one year working hard to earn
back his lost money. For instance, as Santiago is finishing his first year at the shop, the crystal

animals, creating a surplus of food, freeing some people from food production to become specialists
who were able to create advanced tools and weaponry. Because the Europeans had time, steel, and
immunity to smallpox, due to their exposure to domesticated animals, they could decimate
populations, appropriate there resources, and conquer the world. The first inequality that geography

In order for animals to live in an area, two basic needs have to be met by that location. First, the
climate in that area must conform with the climate the specific species needs to survive. As
explained previously, the climate of an area relates to its geographic location. This is why
animals such as polar bears live in Antarctica and Alaska, areas farther from the equator, which

resource, time. With that, these societies were able to develop concepts such as art and to sustain
specialists. Not all animals can be domesticated. They have to be able to cooperate with humans
and make economic sense. In order for a species to be domesticable, it has to have the inclination
to not attack or eat humans, otherwise, the species could be dangerous to domesticate. Along with
that comes the ability to actually control the species. A species has to have a hierarchy like social
structure in order for humans to be able to control a whole pack of animals, which is much more
sensible than trying to train every individual animal. They also need to be economically sensible.
