A Fountain Research Paper
The Valley of Many Fountains Have you ever seen a place that was so surreal that the landscape
looked as if it were green screen? What if you were able to experience the rush of watching
someone run off the cliff of a mountain only to watch them glide gracefully through the sky? What
do you think it would sound like to hear over 20,000 liters of water pounding through a mountain
every second? Can you imagine cheese so natural that you can almost taste the grass the cows ate? A
place this surreal could only be located in Switzerland, one of the most beautiful countries in the
world. Experiencing Switzerland s cow culture of the small mountain towns, being surrounded by the
Alps and waterfalls, and having the ability to choose from so many... Show more content on

One day, my mom and went to the top of one of the Alps called the Schilthorn which had this James
bond Museum because one of the Bond movies from the 60 s had been filmed there and where I
got to play in the snow for the first time. The Schilthorn also had a revolving restaurant on top of the
mountain so as we were trying to warm up from walking around in the wind and the snow on the
top of the mountain by having some hot chocolate we got to see all the Alps from all angles.
Another afternoon we were there, my mom and I went to Trummelbach falls which one of the
other tourist at our hotel recommended doing because it was a fall inside the mountain. We took
an elevator shaft up into the mountain and when we got out, all I could hear was the pounding of
twenty thousand liters of water going through the mountain per second which would echo across
the mountain caverns. As we walked further into the mountain, we got to see different parts of the
fall at every level and there were all these really cool shaped caverns. In order to see the rest of the
falls, we had to walk outside down the mountain and every time we came around the corner there
would be the falls in the shape of funky spirals or turns. Plus, as we walked down the mountain, I
could see all the way across the valley with cows grazing on pastures, waterfalls sprouting out, and
snowcapped Alps all at once. It was my

In November of 2007, Amanda Knox, native of Seattle, Washington was living in Perugia, Italy with
roommate, Meredith Kercher, native of England. Knox and Kercher were both very smart exchange
students schooling in Italy. While rooming with each other, they inevitably became friend s due to
their alike personalities. While living in Italy, Knox met Raffaele Sollectio and immediately fell in
love. She then began spending much more time with Sollectio and less time with her friend,
Meredith. On November 1st of 2007, the lives of not only Meredith would be impacted, but the
entire city of Perugia. Meredith was found brutally murderd in the floor of her home. But who would
be the murderer? This documentary has convinced me that even though I truly think Amanda is not
guilty of the murder, there are signs leading others to think that she is a suspect. ... Show more

Knox had been at her boyfriend s house the previous night and came home to discover that there
was blood on her bathroom sink faucet. She didn t seem to think much of the blood on the faucet.
It was until she got out of the shower and saw the big stain of blood on her bathroom rug that she
began to wonder who had been in her home. Eventually, she decided to check on Meredith since
she had not heard from her. Knox knocked on Meredith s bedroom door and called for her, but got
no response. Amanda had her boyfriend, Raffaele Sollectio, break down the door. This is where
they found Meredith s lifeless body brutally murdered in the floor of her own
How Does Chief Anderton Change The Future
Imagine this, a ball is slowly rolling off of a table. You know that if you do not catch it, it will hit the
floor. But, what if it could float, instead? Then, you may try and change its future by catching it but
ultimately, it is going to float. When you know the outcome to a situation, you may try and change
it, but you cannot change the future.
In the movie Minority Report, Chief Anderton is trying to eliminate murder by arresting criminals
before they commit the crime. He does this through three people called the precogs. They can see
murders before they occur. This system seems to work perfectly until Anderton s own name is
discovered as a future murderer. He tries to find out everything he can about the murder and even
goes to the
Self Movie Psychology
The self is an ever changing system of perspectives that is formed and sustained in
communications with others and ourselves (Wood, 178). This definition emphasizes that the self
is not static or fixed, but dynamic (Wood, 178). According to Wood (3013), the term self is a
singular noun , which implies it is a single entity, but yet there are many facets to the self (p.178).
You have a physical self that includes your height, weight, body type, abilities and disabilities, and
the color of your skin, hair, and eyes (Wood, 178). You also have an emotional self that reflects how
sensitive you are, whether you have a temper, and so forth (Wood, 178). Your cognitive self includes
your intelligence and intellectual aptitudes (Wood, 178).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is the process of seeing ourselves through the eyes of others which can also be called the,
looking glass self, (Wood, 185). According to Wood(2013) this is the beginning of the self
concept ( p. 185). Since the beginning of the film when Forrest beginning to tell his story he
begins to receive his reflected appraisal and begins developing his self concept. Gump s entrance
to the football team in his university was very important because it showed how important it was
to the south and how he saw himself being in the richest team in the world. According to Wood(
2013) reflected appraisal are not confined to childhood but continue throughout our lives. All of
the information he portrays to the strangers he talks to help him get his reflected appraisal. It can
be the reactions form people once he speaks or the look on their face. We always first look at
ourselves through the perspectives of others. in a study by Milkie he incorporated social
comparison and reflected appraisal processes, that shows how media affect self esteem indirectly,
despite criticism, through beliefs about how others use and are affected by media (p.196). Forrest
must have a strong self concept because throughout the movie although he had a lot of obstacles to
face he overcame them and knew himself and always saw the brighter things in his life. You would
think his IQ score of 75 would take a toll on him but Forrest used his
Tertullian And Justin Martyr
Both Tertullian and Justin Martyr are apologists defending the Christian faith; however, their
approach is from two different mindsets. The mindset in which Justin Martyr approaches faith,
reason, and philosophy shares similarities with the ideals of early Christian scientists who sought to
grow in their faiththrough their studies and therefore saw their studies as extensions of their faith.
Justin saw that the faith in JesusChrist was the inevitable answer to his philosophical questions.
Justin utilizes the prophesies and history of the Jewish people to explain his reasoning as to the
soundness of the philosophy and faith in Christ. Even arguing that Plato, himself, developed his line
of reasoning from the prophets and so by careful
Difference Between Murder And Second Degree Murder
First degree murder is defined as the killing of someone which is deliberate and premeditated.
Premeditated means to plan the killing such as waiting for the person to return home to kill them or
to poison them.
The difference between first degree murder and second degree murder is very simple. First degree
murder is a planned killing. For instants, Victoria comes home and finds her husband in bed with
Shelly. A few days later, Victoria breaks into Shelly house and stabs her to deathfor sleeping with her
husband. Victoria started to plan Shelly s murder once she walked on her husband cheating on her
with Shelly. Second degree murder, however, is different. An intentional killing that is not
premeditated, nor committed with heat of passion
Culling In Australia
Invasive species known as the red fox, feral cats and amels have proven to show that Australia has
suffered more than most countries around the world from invasive species due to the species
imposing huge costs on farming and threatening native wildlife. Typically, the first response to such
problems is Culling, not knowing that by eradicating, reducing their abundance and impact can do
more bad than good. A recent wildlife study conducted by CSIRO Wildlife Research has shown that
invasive speciesthreaten biodiversity in many parts of the world, including Australia. Low Level
culling is often used to reduce their impact of reproducing, but in open wildlife populations, thee
effectiveness of culling is uncertain.

The Symbolism Of Water In The Gospel Of John
Water is a sign of life, which is why scientists are constantly searching for it on other planets.
Though water is necessary for all living things on our planet, it also possesses destructive
properties. Water is often used by authors in their novels as a symbolistic element and the Bible is
no different. The Gospel of Johnuses water frequently to symbolize purity and cleansing, as well as
spiritual needs. John uses the symbolism of water through signs to reveal Jesusidentity as the Son of
God. The dialogue between Jesus and the Samaritan women in John 4 and the power of God
through Jesus as he walks on water in John 6 are interpreted to reveal the power and presence of
God, through the mission and ministry of Jesus Christ, Son of God.... Show more content on

It is used to clean and purify things, which is why baptisms involve water. Jesus says, Very truly I
tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again (John 3:3). Many scholars
believe that this being born of water is considered baptism. Being baptized is consider a new birth,
the creation of spiritual life. As state earlier, water symbolizes purity. In John 1:29 34, John the
Baptist is baptized with water. Jesus is baptized in John 3:22 30. Jesus also uses water to wash the
feet of the disciples (13:1 20). The ritual of water baptism is a way to express the spiritual
conversion. Jesus uses the water to cleanse and purify spiritually. Baptisms in today s society
typically occur soon after birth when a child enters the world or when a person decides to join a
new faith. This cleansing in the water represents birth and new life in the church and in faith.
Water has life sustaining properties. It has been said that one can go weeks without food but only
days without water. In John 2:1 12, Jesus uses water as a source of refreshment when he turns it
into wine at Cana in Galilee. The first sign of Jesus glory is at a wedding celebration, which is
why he turns water, something quenching, into wine, something for enjoyment. In John 4:7, a
Samaritan woman says to Jesus, give me a drink. Jesus calls himself the bread of life and says that
those who come to him will never thirst (6:35). Jesus self revelation as the provider of living

The Pros And Cons Of Planned Parenthood
Today we dare to be scientist, analyst, or philosophers as we attempt further dissect the true
meanings behind a photo posted to the Planned Parenthood twitter page. Attach to the photo was
the following caption that states that, Senators Graham Cassidy are pushing the worst
#ACArepeal bill yet. We ve rejected every other version of Trumpcare. Within these few words it
is revealed the cause that brought this group of concerned American citizen to the capital. Various
people, men and women alike, came out to show their support with pink T shirts powers and signs
in tow as made evident by the photograph. Now women have not always had a voice within
politics, it is still a very young part of the American government dating back only a few decades.
With this call to arms the men and women of the United Statescan get a word in about the terrible
reform of the American healthcare system being proposed. A consensus has been made by those
following the course of bill that latest healthcare proposal is possibly the worst attempt at repealing
the Affordable Care Act with a heightened disposition for women. The funding for Planned
Parenthood would be zeroed out under the new bill and Dawn Laguens, executive vice president at
Planned Parenthood Federation of America, had this to say in a statement; It blocks women from
getting preventive care at Planned Parenthood. It slashes Medicaid, which 1 in 5 women of
reproductive age rely on for care, including birth control and cancer
Du Dubois Legacy
William Edward Burghardt Du Bois was one of the most influential figures in civil rights history,
but even outside of civil rights he was a loving and caring man, He started the activist Niagara
Movement in 1905 and then cofounded the NAACP in 1909. A powerful intellect, Du Bois would
become the first person who was African Americanto earn a PhD from Harvard and was a professor
of history, sociology, and economics at Atlanta University. Du Bois made significant contributions to

from Fisk in 1888, Du Bois enrolled at Harvard University, where he used his full potential as a
student. He became acquainted with some of the leading intellectuals of the day, including William
James, George Palmer, George Santayana, and Albert Bushnell Hart, and was encouraged to direct
his studies toward history and the social sciences. At his Harvard commencement in 1890, he was
one of five students selected to deliver an address. Du Bois s speech on Confederate president
Jefferson Davis and the issue of slavery in the United States gained him national attention, including
a prominent review in the Nation. Graduating with a major in philosophy, Du Bois was accepted
into graduate school in political science as Harvard s Henry Bromfield Rogers Fellow and began
work on Civil Rights for African Americans.. After being awarded his master s degree in 1891, he
received a Slater Fund grant, which allowed him to study and travel overseas from 1892 to 1894. Du
Bois studied history, economics, politics, and political economy at the University of Berlin and
completed a thesis on agricultural economics in the American South.
Though DuBois achieved many things through out his long lived life some would argue that he
wasn t successful enough or a good leader because asue he was a man of color. Many believed
that Dubois couldn t possibly be an effective leader because he was black but he actually proved
that wrong through his achievements of graduating from Harvard and Founding the NAACP. Dubois
was a smart man who didn t let these words get to
