Thesis Statements
Explanatory Thesis
An explanatory synthesis essay is used to help the reader get a complete understanding of the
subject under consideration. The writer has to write the relevant information about a certain topic
in an objective (or reasonably objective) and comprehensive way. The paper should be written like
all papers, based around a solid thesis, but the purpose is to educate on all aspects rather than
persuade a particular opinion. Take note that all aspects are the same in an explanatory paper; the
introduction must state the topic clearly, not to leave the reader ... Show more content on

However when health care employers fail to recognize the association between registered nursing
staffing and patient outcomes, laws and regulations become necessary. In an article written by
Pamela Tevington, RN indicated that with regulated staffing showed positive patient outcomes (i.e.
decreased hospitalization), decreased nursing shortages and increased overall job satisfaction (2011).
Con
The complexity of staffing is compounded by the fact that for any unit at any moment, the patient
census, number and mix of nursing staff, range of care acuity, etc. can change. With a
comprehensive picture of what goes into staffing, it is hard to imagine any formula, ratio, or other
algorithm that could address the labyrinth of staffing in healthcare effectively. The American Nurses
Association currently stands to support a legislative model in which nurses are empowered to create
staffing plans specific to each unit. This approach aids in establishing staffing levels that are flexible
and account for any given changes (Nursing Staffing, 2015).
Problem Of Evil And Moral Evil
The problems of evil existing in society are difficult to understand is because it questions God s
reasoning for allowing evil to exist. To challenge and better understand God s motives are the
objections to the moral or intrinsic evil actions created by man. An illustration presented in this
paper of the immoral evilof Adam and Evein the Garden of Eden when they broke their commitment
to Godin the Garden of Eden by eating the apple. Another instance of a moral evil was the act of
murder committed by Cain that demonstrates that God allows moral evil to happen in society.
Could it be that God permits man to commit moral evils by letting man make their own decisions;
may they be good or evil? The sins of man are moral evils committed by man
Telepathy In Stephen King

Telepathy at its Finest

Stephen King, a world renowned author, has had much success in the genres of horror, science
fiction and suspense. Due to his success, King decided to share some of his tricks of the trade in
order to help aspiring authors with his book On Writing. Before completing this book, writing to me
was just a pain. I remember this one quote that said, If you want to be a writer, you must do two
things above all others: read a lot and write a lot (King 145). I proceed to think, well shoot, I don t
do either of those things. No wonder I don t like writing and I m not very good at it. Then as I
continued through the book, I thought back to the part where King described writing as a form of
telepathy, and it changed my whole perspective. Art has always been a way to express yourself
and share ideas in my mind. The idea of writing doing that, and in such a direct way, kind of blew
my mind. The more I thought about it, the more it made sense to me. The writer and the reader
were connected through time and space with these shared thoughts. The best example of this is the
rabbit in the cage: The most interesting thing here isn t even the carrot munching rabbit in the
cage, but the number on it s back. . .This is what we re both looking at, and we all see it. . .We re
not even in the same year together, let alone the same room . . . except we are together (King 106).
The freedom that is opened up to the reader when imagining
Crime Affects Crime
My research question is How does committing crimes affect a person s physical health and do
different crimes affect physical health more or less? It is important to the criminal justice system to
determine how much crime actually affects the health of an offender. Assuming that committing
crimes causes stress to the individual, stress can show negative side effects on the human body that
can be physical or mental. By identifying any health problems created by committing crimes, one
could potentially deter potential criminals. In the criminal justicesystem in the United States, there
currently is not much deterrence for criminals in regards to punishment. There is the potential to use
the risk of them affecting their health as a deterrent. It is also important to look at how different
crimes affect the physical health of an offender. For instance, a small crimesuch as shoplifting may
not cause as much stress as robbery. Looking into the potential for higher stress levels in certain
crimes could lead to offenders avoiding those crimes. If criminals stop committing the higher stress
crimes, it can help law enforcement and citizens focus on stopping the lesser crimes.
Although I could not find an article or experiment related to crime causing stress, I found the
opposite. Strain theory attempts to explain that stress causes crime. Agnew s general strain theory is
considered to be one of the most accurate theories in explaining crime. He argued that the stresses

Direct Mail s Marketing Strategy
The competition in your industry is fierce and you need to continually find innovative new ways for
presenting promotional messages to your target market audience. Your marketing practices need to
serve a dual purpose of capturing the attention of that audience while also giving you a competitive
advantage that makes you stand out in the crowd in the process. One way to accomplish this goal is
by combining powerful marketingwords with a direct mail campaign.

Direct mail campaigns provide you with several opportunities to make an entrance into a new
industry market segment or increase sales revenue with your current customer base. You do this by
creating postcards, newsletters, brochures, catalogs and other print material that contain a
promotional message and a call to action that prompts consumers to take further action with your
company. Each of these promotional pieces are available in different textures, sizes and style ... Show

As consumers come in contact with your direct mail piece, an emotional connection forms with your
company. Seeing another advertisement for your company at a later point creates a mental
recognition of the direct mail piece arriving in the mailbox earlier. Now consumers have a valid
connection to your company and will take another look at the promotional message on that direct
mail piece.

That connection is one of the reasons you need to make a direct mail practices part of your content
marketing campaign. You can easily integrate elements of direct mail into the digital aspects of a
content marketing campaign. Create a personalized URL on a direct mail piece by including a QR
code that consumers can scan with their smartphone. Scanning that code takes consumers to a
website or landing page that you design specifically for the current content marketing
Annotation Of The Poem Hive Of Honey Bees
This poem is a narrative of a woman, talking about how she is repeatedly asked where her secret lies,
because of the confidence she wears, and the power she has over a room of people. She states it
because of things such as the stride of her walk, the span of her arms, and then goes on to state I m
a womanPhenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That s me. The conflicts being dramatized are how
despite she isn t pretty or a fashion model s size , she is able to hold the attention of a room with
grace, convey power and beauty in everything she does, and be completely confident in the person
she is. She is being asked this by men and women wherever she goes, because the power of her
entering a room has men swarming around her a hive of honey bees
Alopecia Research Paper
Baldness or hair loss is medically known as alopecia. There are several types of alopecia:
Alopecia unversalis The loss of body hair, including eyelashes and eyebrow.
Alopecia areata The hair falls out in patches.
Fortunately, this condition is temporary and rarely lead to baldness.
Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) Also called male pattern baldness. This is the most prevalent type of
alopecia. It is believed that this condition is caused by the hereditary predisposition of androgen
hormone (male sex hormone).
For some time, doctors have attributed hair loss to genetics. But some researchers has attributed this
condition to other factors like poor circulation, acute illness, surgery, radiation, high fever, iron
deficiency, diabetes, thyroid
Analysis of The Hapiness Conspiracy and Fahrenheit 451
Happiness is a reprise from the many trials and turmoil of life, and so it is natural that we should
actively seek it. Ironically though, in our naïve belief that we can somehow augment the amount of
happiness in our world, we are actually making our world more depressing to live in. Both John F.
Schumaker, in The HappinessConspiracy, and Ray Bradbury, in Fahrenheit 451, argue that our
myopic pursuit of happiness is actually counterproductive. The two authors attempt to persuade the
reader that happiness is, and should be, an almost serendipitous byproduct of a truly fulfilling life,
and therefore should not be an explicit objective.

In his essay, Schumaker discusses how our lives have devolved to being merely means to an end.
We do ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Schumaker argues that in the modern consumer society, the bar has been set so high that it is
virtually impossible to surpass it, and further, as stated by the law of diminishing returns, if we
continue on our current trajectory, we will soon find ourselves gloomier than ever.

Like Schumaker, Bradbury also believes that our society is too obsessed with eliminating the
negatives in life, and establishes that this is a ruinous endeavour through an absence of evidence
argument. In the utopian world that he describes in his novel Fahrenheit 451, that critical point at
which society is so perfect that genuine happiness, a term that is necessarily defined by its
antithesis, depression, becomes meaningless, has already been reached. The intention of the
fictional authorities is ostensibly to satisfy the population as Captain Beatty tells Montag, [they re]
the Happiness Boys, the Dixie Duo (61) but as a direct result of these efforts, anything remotely
controversial or that could bring about dissent is destroyed, and happiness, emotions, and life in
general loses its meaning. Bradbury describes several situations in which this is the case.
Relationships, both platonic and intimate, are a significant part of a satisfying and happy life on our
world, but in Montag s, they exist only in writing. Montag s wife Mildred shuns her real family and
much prefers instead to

Race To The Polar Sea
Book Arrangement: Race to the Polar Sea has an obscurely intricate design complete with three
parts, individually asunder by roughly ten chapters. Including 38 chapters may seem substantial
and futile, but after having read Ken McGoogan s thrilling, but informative, narrative recounting
all the miniscule yet meaningful details of Elisha Kent Kane s life, the reader realizes all 361
pages are eminently imperative. Part I commences with a bit of a biography over the main
character in the book, Elisha Kent Kane. Subsequently after comes Part II, the longest of the three
parts, which delineates Kane s gallant and portentous journey to save Sir John Franklin. Part III
provides a brief synapses into Elisha Kane s life after pursuing, ultimately unsuccessfully, Sir John
Franklin and his deceased crew. Ensuing Part III comes a plethora of resources useful if the... Show

Politicians constantly disagree and dispute whether or not it is in America s best interest to
extricate American citizens who have been taken prisoner in the Middle East: we all know they
are truly speaking of their own personal best interests and debating how the American populous
would react to such a decision. After reading Race to the Polar Sea, specifically Part III, the
reader is able to recognize Dr. Elisha Kane confounded the world with his infamous rescue mission,
and the people of this country loved it. Audience Ken McGoogan clearly intends to attract an
intellectually advanced, insightful reader with an adoration for adventure: in addition to being
engrossed in American history, the quintessential reader of Race to the Polar Sea needs to be
exceedingly astute and well read. Someone lacking a formal education would not be the felicitous
reader of this book, as McGoogan uses an avant garde style syntax, which, when coupled with his
sophisticated and urbane diction make this book a difficult read.
Asylum Seekers In Australia Essay
Asylum seekers are people who have left their home country to find asylum in another country as a
political refugee. Now in Australia, asylum seekers are being forced to detention centres by the
Australian government. Citizens of the Australian community are deciding whether asylum seekers
should be allowed to become residents in Australia. Asylum seekers should be given asylum in
Australia because they have not committed any crimes and Australia takes a minimum number of
asylum seekers in a year compared to other underdeveloped countries. Furthermore, asylum seekers
have greatly contributed to the Australian society.

The Australian government had signed The Refugee convention but are now not following the
fundamental articles in the convention. The Refugee convention is a series of articles that state how
to treat and help refugees and asylum seekers. Article 31 of the Refugee convention clearly states
that refugees should not be penalised for arriving without valid travel documents and how they
arrive at the country i.e by boat. If the person is seeking asylum, the action is not considered illegal.

identification needed and they might not ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Violence Against Clowns In Pennsylvania
As unsettling reports of clowns stalking the country have left many in fear, college students in
Pennsylvania have decided to turn the tables on the menaces and do something about the creepy
terrors.

After rumors spread that a clown was on the loose on Pennsylvania State University s campus early
Tuesday, at least 500 students set out to find the source of so much concern, Penn State Police Sgt.
Mike Nelson told the Centre Daily Times.

Some people run away from clowns, Penn State runs towards them, one witness tweeted.

Footage on social media shows students running together in the streets, chanting We are Penn State!

Argumentative Statement Against Gay Adoption

13 November 2017 Gay Adoption
We believe that every child has the right to a loving, nurturing and permanent family, and that
people from a variety of life experiences offer strengths for these children (The Board of Directors
of the National Adoption Center). Gay adoption by legal couples has become a rising controversy
in the past decade, affecting the lives of many children and families. Around the world there are
so many children that need to be adopted and thousand and thousand parents that want to
undertake this experience, but they are not allowed because of the law in some countries. These
parents have the right to adopt and have done nothing wrong and they have the same ability to
grow children as straight couple; yet, they are not allowed to take care of a child that has been
abandoned. Still, many people are against gay adoption because they think kids need a mother and
a father to have proper male male and female role models. They also believe kids raised by a gay
couple are more likely to become gay. This unconstitutional act exists because of prejudices and
discrimination. Many organizations wants equal rights for all parents and children and they believe
discrimination based on sexual orientation should be stopped. Gays and lesbians should be allowed
to adopt because they can be just as good at parenting as straight couple. Many kids are still in
orphanages waiting for homes, and children will have the opportunity
