Mary: Hello Ms. Smith, I’m Mary. Thank you for coming in.

Smith: I’m Smith, it’s my pleasure to be here.

Mary: Did you have any trouble finding the office?
Smith: Nope. The directions on the website were great.
Mary: Good. Would you like some coffee or water before we begin?
Smith: I’m okay, thank you.
Mary: Alright. To get started, why don’t you tell me a little bit about yourself?
Smith: Sure. I studied at FPT University and graduated in 2018 with a degree in accounting.
After graduation, I was hired at BCC, Inc. I’ve been there for the past 6 years and am currently
working as a senior auditor. With my strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and deep
understanding of financial regulations, I believe I’m well-suited for this role.
Mary: So, what attracted you to our company?
Smith: To be honest, what really caught my eye was your focus on growth. I was really
impressed with your ambitious goal and the clear plan for achieving those goal. I also like the
support the company provide for employees. I love your continuing education initiatives, where
employees have opportunities to participate in training programs to enhance professional skills.
That is something I really appreciate and I think your company’s benefits will help to build
employee satisfaction and loyalty.
Mary: What would you say is your greatest strength?
Smith: My greatest strength is flexibility. I find that this is very important when i’m working
with a lot of different people and opinions. I also consider myself is a person who has a
combination of enthusiasm and persistence.
Mary: Can you tell me about a time where you suffered a setback and had to maintain your
enthusiasm?
Smith: Sure. Last year, I have a project for prepare internal audit reports for a new product was
in its final stage after 2 years of work. One of our staff members miscalculated an important data
set, and the analysis now seems to have been in vain. What’s concerning is that there are only
two weeks left until the project deadline. As a leader, I know my reaction would set the tone for
the group. I acknowledged that it was a setback, but I can't hide from problem and just ignore it. I
encourage everyone that we will start over and we will definitely succeed. As expected, everyone
worked very hard and the report was even completed 2 days before the deadline.
Mary: Sound great. Now what would you consider your greatest weakness?
Smith: My biggest weakness is public speaking that I’ve spent a lot time to improve. I’m very
comfortable in small meetings with my team, but when I present before a large audience, I would
be very nervous. Although I can handle these situations professionally, I wanted to be more
confident in these moments, so I can enjoy the experience of presenting, rather than just survive
it.
Mary: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Smith: As I mentioned before, I interested in personal development. In five years, I would like
to be a part of a company growing its business on a regular and consistent basis. I’d would to be
a Head of Audit Department position. I really appreciate that you’re considering me for the
position. I’d love to be a part of the company achieving its goals.
Mary: That’s great, thanks so much for coming in. I’ll give you a call in the next three days.
Smith: Sounds good. I look forward it. Thank you!
