The And The Qur An Essay
His reference to the Qur an brings back to the moment he began establishing ethos with his stream
of metaphors that explain the ripple effect. Although, this time, he uses a more positive tone in the
sense that one good deed will lead to an infinite amount of good deeds. It s almost as if he carefully
chose this reference and purposefully delivers it 10 minutes after making the stream of metaphors.
Making a connection like that with a huge time gap is a very difficult task and requires a lot of
eloquence, something that only Barack Obamaand a few other speakers possess. Each part of the
speech includes proof and refutation. For example, when Obama brings up the issue of Iraq, He
provides the logical argument that America has the responsibilities of helping Iraq and leaving
Iraq to Iraqis. The refutation occurs when he acknowledges nine eleven and how it led to
reactions that were against traditional belief and made the promise to take troops out of Iraq by
2012. He also makes the promise to have Guantanamo Bay closed. These promises were big
promises that received great attention. I consider the promise Obama made about bringing all
troops back from Iraq by 2012 to be one of the most impactful promises that he made as a president
because it affects nearly everyone s family and friends in the United States. The next part that is
about the issue of Palestinians and Israelis. He brings up the history and logical argument about each
side of the story but ultimately refutes
The Ottoman Empire And Islamic Terrorism
The Ottoman Empire and Islamic Terrorism
Florida International University
By
Melinda Persaud
November 7, 2014

Introduction What is known today as modern day Turkey, was once one of the most powerful
empires in the world. They referred to this imperial state as the Ottoman Empire. The Purpose of the
empire was to gain land , and spread their Islamic teachings. With this they had created a thirteenth
century empire led by Osman, the founder of the Ottoman Empire. Osman surrounded himself with
strong solders who specialized in ambushes, and hit and run tactics, they referred to these highly
trained soldiers as Janissaries . The empire they built was the largest and most dominant of the
Muslim empires. The decline of the Ottoman Empire led to terrorist movements, specifically Islamic
terrorism. Wanting to spread their beliefs through violence, Islamic terrorist groups began to try to
overpower certain nations. It not only existed in the later history but still seems to play a big role
even today. This has spread throughout the world from the horrific tragedy of the World Trade
Center all the way to the multiple bombings in the London Underground. One main terrorist group
that has our focus today would be ISIS whose purpose is to create an Islamic state. This is only
one example of a current Islamic terrorist group. Power, religion, and beliefs are what seem to make
up the goal of what these Islamic terrorist groups are trying to allow.

The Rise Of Modern America
This essay will examine the rise of modern America , there were economic, religious, and aspect of
life changes took place and it was greatly changed the Americans society s perceptions, specifically,
the north and the south. The rise of modern America was greatly motivated immigrants to come to
the United Statesfor economic opportunity, industrialization in the North after the civil war created
new businesses and job regulations, and the demand for social changes; all of these factors shaped
America socially, politically, and economically.
The Westward expansion provided settlers with fertile lands and according to the Homestead Act,
settlers did not require to be an American citizen to fill for lands. Farmers farmed extensively,
which led to smaller agriculture s share of the economy. Although the country was producing more
than its consumption, statistically; reflect a decline in the importance of farming, the farmers
exported the excess. However, the migration from rural to urban areas increased due to the
dominance of wage labor and the rise of industrial America, such as railroads. At this era, the whole
economy seemed like to revolve around railroads, every company needs railroad to export/import
goods, or accessible transportation, and it was a major supplement that powered the industrial
economy. The steel rails accounted for an enormous percentage of the steel production in the United
States, also a major consumer of coal and lumber, opened an unlimited
God s Grandeur By Gerald Manley Hopkins
At the beginning of the 19th Psalm, David writes, The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies
proclaim the work of his hands. Gerald Manley Hopkins seems to echo this theme in his poem, God
s Grandeur. The interesting aspects of this poem are a result of Hopkins different perspectives on
nature. In the beginning of the poem, Hopkins directs his focus on the glory of God through the lens
of the world. There is then a turning point where he diverts his attention to the problems mankind
inflicts upon creation. However, the closing of the poem involves him stepping back and reflecting
upon the eternality of God. God s Grandeur is interwoven with powerful imagery that is evoked by
elaborate double entendres that reflect the interaction between humans, nature, and the eternal
grandeur of God that surpasses Earth, which though temporary, is under constant care from God
despite our actions.
The first stanza provides an interesting dynamic between creation and man. Hopkins writes, The
world is charged with grandeur of God. / It will flame out, shining from shook foil... (1 2). The first
two lines provide an interesting double entendre. When Hopkins writes, The world is charged with
the grandeur of God (1), is evokes the imagery of electricity. Thus, the shook foil mentioned in the
second line characterizes the world of having bursts of energy and light similar to when light is
shone upon metallic surfaces like foil. The other interpretation comes from
Class Rigidity and Social Mobility
In late eighteenth and early nineteenth century England there was a sort of moral code of behavior
and standards that are to be maintained by the middle and upper classes of society. Austen
realistically mirrors this code through the characters and plots of her novels while showing that
social flexibility was narrow and class boundaries were strict. The topics of class stringency and
social mobilityare important areas in Jane Austens literature. We begin to see that Austen is not a
revolutionary as she supports and preserves the morals and customs of societies hierarchy. However
she often encourages and backs the emergence of new wealth permitting greater social mobility. In
Austen s world the naval and tradesmen professions... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The narrative also pokes fun at Anne s father, Sir Walter Elliot for being imprudent with his money.
This suggests that Wentworth is more favorable to support Anne than Sir Walter, even though he
thinks himself highly superior to Wentworth. After Frank Churchill arrives in town Emma takes him
to shop at Ford s and says You will be adored in Highbury. You were very popular before you came,
because you were Mr. Weston s son (Austen, Emma, 155). Mr. Weston was a former army captain
and earned enough money to buy his own land putting him in a higher social situation. This
quotation shows that not only is Mr. Weston associated with Highbury, he is held in high regard
there. Frank Churchill is also a very wealthy man of the trade and because of his known wealth he
is the talk of Highbury society. Through satire of the high class society (Sir Walter), and through
approval and regard for navy and trade professions as a means of social mobility, Austen shows that
the current social structure is moderately changing for the better.
Although there are benefits of social mobility from new wealth peoples and patrons, tradition in
maintaining class structure is imperative and belonging to a class should be accompanied with
finances. After Mr. Elton proposes to Emma, the narrator attempts to understand Mr. Elton s motives.
Perhaps it was not fair to expect him to feel how very much he was her inferior in talent, and all the
elegancies
Monster In Me Descriptive Writing
The Monster In Me Finding my way through the mansion seeing the footprints of my past,
present and future. The tiles crack and split beneath my feet, the humid air and horrible stench
excreted from the rats and rotting furniture makes it harder and harder to breathe. Each corner
bringing flashes of memory. The kitchen covered in blood and shattered glass, I look over the
bench top and see a human heart sitting on a plate beating in an odd pattern. I shuffle away
appalled at my recent discovery, I could remember nothing except that I have nothing. I walk into
the living room seeing a beige couch but it was covered in a strange type of fabric which was like
leather but thinner. I take a proper look around the room to see two skinned corpses both mutilated
with a distinctive slit in the centre of the chest.I realise now that this was no longer about finding
out why I m here and it was now a question of the killer and saving people from this barbarous fate.
The next rooms I walk through are more of the same : mutilated bodies with the same distinctive slit
in the centre of the chest. In each room the furniture has the same covering: human skin. The smell
indescribable. My heart pounds as in every room the mutilation is worse.... Show more content on

A Report On The s Performance Indicators, Current Status...
Company Reports One of the first reports used is the Company Dashboard Report. This is a
visual report displaying key performance indicators, current status of metrics, and can be tailored
for a department s metrics or the overall company metrics. The dashboard provides data for a
specific measure of time (Rouse, 2016) versus a Scorecard, which provides it for a period of time.
It is an important tool for any business looking for departmental information. The information
from this report comes from within the company and provides a snapshot of where the company
stands. The PharmaSim dashboard shows a snapshot of the overview of the company that
includes revenue, gross margin, net income, and stock price. It also has a bar chart based on the
department s metrics. In this case, Allround s performance is shown (Performance Summary
Period 1, 2016). The last portion of the dashboard includes customer comments from social
media. This allows for the department to see customer feedback on a real time basis and make
decisions to improve brand performance. The second report a company can utilize is the
Performance Summary. This report measures the success of a company over a period of time
(Performance Report, 2016). The example in the PharmaSim module shows the company s overall
summary for period 1 of the Allround brand and includes a summary of the decisions made. A
snapshot of this information can help a company decide which decisions are making an impact on
positive trending for
Dr. Seuss Theme
The Life of Dr. Seuss

Why fit in when you were born to stand out Dr. Suess. Theodor Geisel grew up in Springfield,
Massachusetts. Geisel s creative drawings and literature started when he was just a boy.
Vanderbilt children s literature expert Ann Neely (Vanderbilt News) says Dr. Seuss holds a
special place in the hearts of many because he wrote with the joy, concern and passion a child
carries. Geisel s books even though filled with crazy cartoon characters are great political messages.
Geisel s books are filled with many important lessons that children should learn early in life. The
rhymes in Dr. Seuss (Theodor Geisel s) books make it very helpful and a creative way to remember
the important life lessons.
The author s story begins, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Seuss(Theodor Geisel) is trying to portray is that the world is very corrupt. He, even in children s
books is trying to show the kids/readers in fun, rhyming cartoons that people can be evil and
nothing is perfect/right. For example, in the book Yertle the Turtle the overall picture, even
though you may not realize it is that Yertle is portrayed as Hitler. Yertle is the king of the pond
but he still wants more, just like how Hitler had a lot of power over Germany that wasn t good
enough for him. Hitler keeps pushing and gaining more power, because his overall goal is to rule
the world. In this children s book it s the same thing, just put in different words/different characters.
In the end of course Hitler and Yertle s plans fail. Another example is in the book The Lorax plays a
role from Theodor s perspective of environmentalism. This book is trying to make known that us
humans today are destroying wildlife/nature. We should be more aware of how we treat the
earth. For example, throwing our garbage in trash cans instead of in the ocean or on the street.
Theodor got his inspiration mostly from everyday life when he was a boy. After he became
known as the pseudonym Dr. Seuss , his childhood continued to motivate his fantastical
landscapes, and exotic creatures. Why write about Never Never Lands that you ve never seen
when all around you have a real Never Never Land that you know about and understand, Seuss
said of his hometown. (bostonglobe.com) For instance, one of the poems Theodor Geisel wrote
was, Horton Hears A Who! . This poem is about an elephant; horton, trying to find his friends on a
speck of dust located on a flower. The speaker; Horton, is speaking to everyone around, including
the readers. This scene takes place in a field of flowers. Horton is trying to vocalize that you
should always look out for people no matter how small or unimportant they seem. A person is a
person, no matter how small . Dr. seuss s Horton
Building A New Offshore Manufacturing Facility For...
Xenomation Corporation is a publicly traded company which is twenty years old. It went public
five years ago and has sales of $100 million for the prior year. Market capitalization is about $200
million dollars, 500 employees and an annual growth rate of 10%. Their products are industrial
products sold to various production companies in the US and some internationally, but is seen as the
growth in the future.

Xemovation Corporation has to this point in time, only produced their products domestically with
two plants, one in California and the other in Texas. Due to competitive pressures to reduce product
costs, senior management has determined that an offshore production facility is now a necessity.
However, due to the lack of the global ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
South Korea

South Korea has been growing increasingly popular as an alternative production base for overseas
manufacturers in the past years. Basic production industry s benefit in terms of cheaper price of
labor and land is now almost gone in South Korea. However niche regions are still available and
good skill labor, technology and reasonable expenses are expected in terms of our company s needs
that should make skillful and cheap technology labor.

Lying between the China and Japan, South Korea is located Korea Peninsula that is convenient
location of Far East Asia, which is good for trading due to close Pacific Ocean. Korea s land is not
so big, so this reason appropriate place to establish the factory is not difficult. South Korea s
manufacture industry complex is concentrated on near Seoul, which is the capital and near Busan,
which is the second city of Korea. Both city has big port and located near the ocean. For overseas
manufacturers with limited knowledge of doing business in South Korea, near the capital and
second city will probably be a safer bet as an alternative production base.

C.FINANCIAL COMPARISON

Currency exchange rate with Korea is favorable to US companies with 1 USD = 1,170 KRW as
compared to Germany s 1USD = 0.927EUR so there will not be a significant cost advantage if
manufacturing is set up in Germany.

My Memorable Journey
A Memorable Journey With A Friend

On the date of October 27th 2017, me and my friend Tovah were on our way to a cabin in
Branson for her birthday. While we were there we went shopping at Tanger Outlets and we went to
The Haunted Lost Cavern at Top Of The Rock. Now in the essay below you will read about my
memorable journey with my friend Tovah.
It was seven o clock so when we got there so we just watched TV then went to bed. The next day,
we went shopping at Tanger Outlets and while we were there we got some awesome fudge. We
went to Bath and Body and I bought six bottles of hand sanitizer and gave one to Tovah. I also
bought a hand sanitizer holder and it came with two so I gave one to Tovah and I kept one for
myself. When we were done shopping we ate lunch then went back to the cabin. We started a fire in
the fireplace but the vent was closed so the cabin filled up with smoke that made Tovah sleepy so
she took a nap.
When it was about nine o clock, we woke her up and we went to Top Of The Rock. We were there to
go to the Haunted Lost Cavern. We only had to wait a little bit until we could get on the bus to go
to the cavern. On the way down a few people scare you. When you get to around the area of the
cavern, people are there so they can take your picture.
When you first get in there s a crazy lady chases you around with a fake leg. After you get past her
it was just a bunch of mechanical things. When you get to another part of the cavern there are sheets

Examples Of Redemption In The Kite Runner
The Road to Redemption A way to end the cycle. An orphan. Hassan s son. Somewhere in Kabul.
(Hosseini, 227) The Kite Runner is a book depicting the betrayal and redemption Amir, Hassan,
and Baba go through. There is redemption to all betrayal but finding it is the difficult part. The
book was written by Khalled Hosseini and is considered a very impactful book to literature around
the world. Even though some things are unforgivable, the central message of redemption to all
betrayal is shown by the author through characters, plot, and symbolism. There are many
characters in The Kite Runner but only a few have been betrayed or have had to redeem
themselves. First there is Baba, Amir s father, he is looked up to by many in Kabul.... Show more

Looking in the story in a whole to determine the theme can be very difficult. By looking at the
book scene by scene it becomes easier to find and understand the theme. By doing that you find a
pattern. That pattern is betrayal followed by redemption. Hassan loved Amir yet Amir betrayed
him in a horrible way. The day of the kite flying competition when Hassan and Amir cut the last
kite Hassan ran the kite for Amir. When Hassan got to the kite he was cornered by three boys, the
leader Assef was the worst. They had told Hassan is they gave him the kite that they would leave
him alone. Hassan being loyal to Amir said no. Hassan refusing to give up the kite had a horrible
effect. Two of the boys pinned him down while Assef raped him. And Amir? He watched it
happen and did not do or say anything to stop it. I had one last chance to make a decision, one
final opportunity to decide who I was going to be. I could step into that alley, stand up for Hassan
The way he stood up for me all those times in the past and accept what would happen to me. Or i
could run. In the end I ran. (Hosseini, 77) Amir betrayed Hassan in a horrible way that day, to
make matters worse he betrayed Hassan again. After the incident Amir felt horrible and could
barely look at Hassan or talk to him. Amir and Hassan were both suffering, Amir had a plan to end
that. Baba always said theft was the biggest sin so Amir planted his brand new watch under
