As a kid graduating from high school, going into the college life that I know will be a long
journey that might consist of being struggling some days. As once was a little eight year old who
has learned from their parents has decided a career that he knows and loves to do has form a life

her and as she was telling me that someday I will need to learn this. At first, I was confused why
all of these numbers are like this and why are they written the way they were. Over a few... Show

Michigan College, I still have not decide of what college is good enough for financial management
and not far away from Northern Michigan. I have been looking at a few other college when they

has the best education for me. Although, once I choose one, I still have a few more years to
struggle through and hopefully it will get easier through the process. Finally, once I finish and
graduate college, I would like to come back to Gaylord and find a job here at a investment place

British Colonies In North America Analysis
The document I found was A Proposition for the Present Peace and Future Government of the
British Colonies in North America , published in 1775. This proposition was written by a man in
London and meant to be distributed among the citizens of Britain. The writer s hope was if the
document was well received by the public it would be more favorably received by the government.
The proposition first explains the situation in America, and the hostility the colonists feel towards the
British government. The writer feels that the hostility is growing and it could lead to an all out war
if something is not done. His suggestion is to increase the number of British troops in the colonies to
stamp out the protests of the colonists. It is the
Immigration Laws In The Late 1800s
Immigration law have the aliens pursuing fault dreams of becoming a U.S citizen. The United
States began to get big waves of immigrants in the late 1800 s and in the late 1900 s. Immigrants
came to the land of opportunities to begin a new and better life. The immigration laws began with
the Page act of 1875, that was when the United Statesrestricted immigrants from Asia. Next was the
Chinese Exclusion act of 1882, the act stated the prohibition of all immigrants of Chinese laborers.
With this act, more and more immigrationlaws came into play. In the early 1900 s the congress
created the U.S border patrol within the Immigration Service. (cis.org) In 1952 the United states
passed the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952, the act prohibited immigrants to come to the
United states because the population was getting out of control. In 1996, congress passed the illegal
immigration reform and immigrants responsibility act. The act... Show more content on

The United States passed the Life act. The Life act was a mini amnesty aimed at those illegal
aliens who hoped to become green card holders through marriage, employment or other categories,
but who were not anywhere near approval yet, due to the long line of people ahead of them. After
the terrorist attack on September 11th the United states began to question the idea of giving
immigrants visas. 4 of the terrorist did have visas and had violated the terms of their visas and
became illegal aliens. The attack exposed long standing holes in our immigration system that
included failures at visa processing, internal enforcement, and information sharing. One of the main
arguments was should we punish all immigrants looking for a better life when only 4 committed a
crime. I think the only thing the U.S should ve done different was do a bigger background check
and every once in while they should try to check up on
Tablets And Online Textbooks Vs. Traditional Textbooks
Financially, it is more beneficial for districts to purchase tablets and online textbooks compared to
traditional textbooks. In order to use school budgets most efficiently, it is vital that funds are
directed towards the most resourceful items for the students. As the state funding for public schools
decreases, this becomes a more prominent concern. Tablets provide a simple fix to the need of a
modern, cost saving solution. According to one resource, the average textbookcosts $70 each, verse
a 6 year subscription that costs between $38 $55 for an online textbook (Elliot, 2013). This
shows that online textbooks are more cost effective, not only in the long run, but at the time of
purchase. The online versions of textbooks are less expensive because there is not physical
material being purchased, whereas traditional textbooks require paper and ink to be produced.
Simply using the tablets for textbooks alone will save districts approximately $15 32 each time a
textbook is purchased. For example, tablets cost between $200 and $600 per student, and provide
a plethora of resources (DeNeen, 2012). Although this cost may seem like a lot up front, if the
amenities are taken into consideration, it is more cost effective. For example, a camera alone
would cost only a small amount less than a full tablet that includes a camera which could be used to
document class projects or experiments for later reference. Tablets are also equipped with free
calculators, allowing school
Descriptive Essay On A Horse
Ever since I was a child I knew that I wanted to work with animals. Horses, in particular, have
always fascinated me. After much begging, pleading, years of convincing, and always working hard
to save up money, I convinced my parents to allow me to buy a horse. To me, Indie was the most
beautiful quarter horseI could have ever dreamed of getting. Since our purchase of Indie, we have
acquired another horse, Sherman, and a pony, Tucker. Although the horses have always been hard
work, they were worth every sweaty hot summer evening of mucking out the stalls and frigid
winter mornings of carrying water to the trough in order to avoid freezing our hoses. After all, I
used to dream of being a veterinarian and helping all kinds of animals in some way.
When I learned how to heal my horse s hoof a couple of years ago, the vision of being a vet was
reaffirmed. It was a hot summer day when my dad and I were working around the barn. Like any
other day as we worked we would check on how the horses were doing, this included grooming them
and cleaning their hooves. We noticed one of our horses, Indie, moseying over with a limp and not
putting weight on one hoof. I immediately was worried, thinking that he might have a serious injury.
Let s lift up his hoof and check out what he got into, suggested my dad. (How Indie s hoof looked)
It became apparent that there was an infection and a veterinarian needed to be called. This was the
first time that the vet had to be called out for Indie
The Correction Of Refractive Errors
Before considering the correction of refractive errors, one must first understand the basics of the
eye and how it uses the process of refraction to create visual images. The process of refraction
begins with light as it comes in from external sources, with the amount of light being regulated by
the pupil, the large, black, circular opening at the front of the eye. The size of one s pupil is further
regulated by the iris, the even larger, circular, colored part of the eye. Once light rays make
contact with the eye, they hit the cornea, the clear, dome shaped layer that covers the front of the
eyeball. When the light rays hit the cornea, the cornea bends (or refracts) them in a primary stage
which is followed up by the lens, a clear surface behind the pupil which further focuses the light
rays (now becoming an image) onto another essential part of the eye: the retina, which is located
along the back inside surface of the eyeball. The retina is a thin, delicate, photosensitive tissue that
contains the special photoreceptor cells that convert light into electrical signals ( How we see ).
These electrical signals act as messages that are further processed and then sent to the brain via the
optic nerve, a bundle of nerves that connect to the back of the eye. When they reach the brain, the
brain interprets them and they become the images that one sees. Therefore, at its core, vision truly
comes from the brain. Within this basic process of refraction in the
Finger Marks Techniques
Finger marks are known as a small print that can be left on any surface, each finger mark is
unique to an individual. There are multiple types of finger marks the three main ones are known as
a Whorl, Arch and Loops. The finger marks are always photographed before being collected at a
crime scene, there are several different types of techniques that are used to be able to lift the prints.
There are hinge lifts, rubber lifts and cellophane tape.
Hinge lift can be used using multiple different colours backgrounds this to allow for the
visualisation of the finger marks so that they can be developed using different colour powders. The
hinge lift is placed onto the finger mark and is pressed down evenly over the mark, the lifted print is
then covered ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There will be 8 different finger marks that will be used each time for each experiment that will take
place. These prints will be created by one individual to be able to keep a constant pattern within the
practical. There are two slightly methods that will be used, the first method is cyanoacrylate fuming
the item that contains the print will be suspended within the tank this is to ensure that the item is
exposed to the fumes. This process will take up to 45 minutes once the time is completed the
whitish coloured print will appear on the item showing the finger mark/s. The print can be enhance
further using a fluorescent dye the fan is then turned on and is then used to circulate the fumes
which will then increase the surface contact between the latent print residue and the cyanoacrylate
vapours. A heating method will then be applied and the cyanoacrylate will be placed onto a dish
and then a heating tool will then be placed onto the dish until it accelerates the polymerization
process of the cyanoacrylate however there is a possibility that heating the cyanoacrylate will
accelerate the volatility which then in turn will mean a faster vapour release which will then
accelerate the recovery of the latent print. Another method that is going to be used within this
practical is like the first method, however this current method will be using approximately 25 drops
of liquid cyanoacrylate and this will then be placed into a magnetically locked in a shelf above the
item that is about to be fumed. The fume cupboard will then be heated to 120 degrees with the
humidity being maintained at 80 degrees. The heating and the humidity cycle will then take
approximately 30 minutes, the fuming cabinet will need to take 20 minutes to remove any harmful
residual vapours. Once this is complete the print that has been exposed by the fumes
Biomechanical Summary
This article brings up evidence that argues for the ineffective use of Insoles. It shows evidence
from a biomechanics professor, Dr. Nigg, saying they only correct problems in the short term and
only for select athletes. 1 In contrast a professor goes on to say that biomechanics may not fully
understand how orthotics work .1 Supporters for inserts try to argue that they are effective based
upon the person. The co owner of Hersco Ortho lab said they do work, but choosing the right one
requires a great deal of care .1 There seems to be a contrast to this statement though, based on
evidence in the article. One study found that when individuals were able to pick which insert they
wanted, based on comfort, there were half as many injuries when
The Journey Of Life Has Changed My Life
The journey of life has thought me to be honest and loyal. As I arrive in the United States of
America in the 2013, it was a dream come through. I made a promise to my parents that I will be a
good child and stay out of trouble. It was tears of joy when it was time to say good bye to my
parents. On my arrival at the Dallas airport, my uncle was there to welcome me and took me
home. On our way home I couldn t believe my eyes that, the things I see on television am now
having physical visual of them. After a month in United State of America I applied for a
community college because I didn t want to over stay at home since I was in my third year in
University in my country. But after my placement test I was accepted into the school.... Show more

Even I believe in hard work pays but this work is hard and is not paying. After three months of
working at the gas I saw there was no improvement in my paycheck and my manger keeps reducing
my work hours for no reasons. So my love for the work began to fade away and decided not
complain about it anymore because the more I complain the more it get worse. The only option
was to quit the job without informing my manager in case I get a new job that pays well.
Something unbelievable happened at work which changed my situation. After a long and busy
night shift. Mostly I inform my manager before I clock out, for him to know am not going home
with something which is not mine. As soon as I entered my manager s office, he told me to sit
down. I was a little nervous because mostly when my manager asks me to sit for a conversation that
s, there is a problem or a report from a customer. My manager told me a customer called to report a
missing wallet and in case If I have seen it I should give it to me. I made it clear to my manager that
I have no ideal of the missing wallet he is talking about. After I left my manager s office I decide to
use the restroom before I leave for my house. After I was done with what I came to the restroom to
do, I decided to change the trash can in the restroom since It was almost full. As I pull the trashcan
and about to pull the trash bag out of the can, I saw a black wallet. I decided to

Michael Ondaatje s The English Patient and Toni Morrison s Jazz

Textual, mnemonic, and physical gaps leave room in which identity is found through body and
environment in Michael Ondaatje s The English Patient and Toni Morrison s Jazz. Ondaatje s
characters retrieve their absent personas by mutually colonizing lovers bodies, thus developing a
metaphor for the body as topography. Morrison spins this in reverse, personifying and merging the
City s infrastructure with human structure as the characters synergistically carve out their selves
through the City s spaces. Though geographical boundaries do impede characters ability to connect,
both novelists optimistically argue that the bonds of human affection can span the ... Show more

It is a place of pockets (259). Not text, nor cartography, but contoured land is the signifier of identity
for Ondaatje s maimed and nebulous characters.

Land serves a similar purpose in Jazz. The City s physical spaces provide room for human
connection: ...in the space between two buildings, a girl talks earnestly to a man in a straw hat.
He touches her lip to remove a bit of something there...The sun sneaks into the alley behind them

City, it is there to back and frame you no matter what you do. And what goes on on its back lots
and side streets is anything the strong can think of and the weak will admire. All you have to do is
heed the design (8 9). By not heeding the design, however, and spilling out past the boundaries,
characters emotionally identify with the City: The service trails, of course, are worn, and there are
paths slick from the forays of members of one group into the territory of another where it is believed
something curious or thrilling lies. Some gleaming, cracking, scary stuff...Where you can find
Strict Coaches Research Paper
I think the rules about how the coaches treat the players should be stricter because some of the
coaches are really hateful , rude ,and treat players different from others and make that kid feel
like he isn t as good as the other players. A lot of coaches are very mean to the players telling them
that they suck or aren t as good as the other players and that s not right to the other kids because it
brings them down. Coaches shouldn t be so hard on the kids because sometimes some words
bring down kids to the point to we re they don t wanna play anymore. When he or she gets in my
face, calls me out, embarrasses me in front of the team, and has a problem with me every day it
makes me question why I still play. A college player stated this after

1.The Analysis There is more public support for marijuana law reform than ever before with new
polls showing more than half the country is in favor of legalizing marijuana. The Drug Policy
Alliance (DPA) believes marijuana should be removed from the criminal justice system and
regulated like alcohol and tobacco.

What s going on? The drug war is responsible for hundreds of billions of wasted taxes dollars and
misallocated government spending, as well as devastating human costs that far outweigh the damage
caused by drugs alone. The United States unrivaled incarceration rate is a constant financial drain,
causing an immeasurable loss in workforce productivity, and puts a strain on scant legal and law
enforcement resources. While the federal government spends, billions trying to reduce the demand
for illegal drugs through prohibition, treatment consistently proves to be a more effective, cheaper
and more humane way to lower the demand for illegal drugs.

Misleading drug education can also weaken youth confidence in law enforcement, parents, and other
adults. Students need drug education that respects their intelligence and gives them
