Chemistry Stream VNIT
NOTE: Tips you can follow if you want. I wrote these tips analyzing my personal mistakes.
Here are some tips you can follow to get a decent grade very easily at the end of Chemistry
Stream Semester.
For Electrical engineering EEL103:
This is one of the most basic and easy subject to score. Though it’s a scoring subject it doesn’t
mean that you don’t have to study. It has some easy topics that you might have already studied
in class 11th and 12th already. Just follow this:
1. Practice Daily.
2. Do Assignments on your own.
3. Go through Mutha sir’s notes that are uploaded in the folder (Notes(M)) in the same
drive link. They’ll definitely help you a lot.
4. Check the Notes Questions as most of the times either it’s mid sem or end sem in the
question paper the questions were directly from the notes. If Mutha sir was teaching that
year.
5. If Mutha sir is teaching you just listen to the lectures carefully and don't drink water in his
class(serious advice).
6. Most of the time Mutha sir himself would be setting the question paper. So, If you get to
know about that just read Mutha sir’s Notes and do his assignments.
7. In Mid sems if you’re getting 15-18 marks and in End sems 45-50 marks you can easily
get an AA grade. As quizzes are mostly easy you can score in that. I myself got an AB
on 71 Marks.
8. Mutha sir’s notes are more than sufficient. Mutha sir is GOD.
For Mathematics MAL101:
This is one of the most difficult subject to ever study in your whole life. Although it is very difficult
you can still get a decent grade like BB or AB by just following the below advices:
1. Do Assignments on your own.
2. I don’t have any idea about this thing that if you practice daily you’ll get good marks but
still at least try to write the topics professor was teaching on the board and learn them
the same day from youtube lectures of Gajendra Purohit sir of the same topic and at
least do a kind of question.
3. Analyze the PYQs you’ll get to know that most are frequently asked in the paper and
repeatedly. You can expect 5/10 questions either of the same kind or the same question
in the question paper.
4. Go through Nalappu sir’s notes that are uploaded on the same drive link. All the
concepts and methods of solving questions are there in that PDF.
5. Never ever get a RE in Mathematics. Actually the Mathematics department was there in
the campus to fail students. There are two buildings in the campus where you’re not
supposed to be stuck: 1. Mathematics Department 2. Main academic Building.
6. In Mid sems if you’re getting 15-18 marks and in End sems 28-33 marks you can easily
get an AB grade. Try to get 7-8 marks in the quiz and submit the assignments neatly and
on time so as to get 9/10 marks in that. I got a CC on 47 Marks but you can expect AB
on 68+. Passing was 29 for my Semesters, but it may vary from 27-33.
7. In the End sems focus on Matrix and Sequence series portion in the end sems if Matrix
was not there in the Mid sems.
For Chemistry CHL103:
One of the easiest but lengthy subject means just don’t put this in mind that you can study one
night before the exam and can get good grades. You can get a FF in this subject too. Some
People from Mathematics background don't have good memories with chemistry but you've got
to get through this one. Though it’s easy if you’re understanding things in the class itself. For
Chemistry i don’t have that much advices but:
1. Go through the PDFs. Those are more than enough.
2. Don’t focus on data. But read the keywords and key points at least.
3. Pre schedule your Chemistry before the exam if it’s mid sems take 2 days and if it’s end
sems take 5 days (1 for each chapter).
4. Don’t worry about the internals, you can get good marks in that easily by writing
assignments.
5. Try to make short notes for the Organic part.
6. In Mid sems if you’re getting 20+ marks and in End sems 40+ marks you can easily get
an AB grade. Submit the assignments neatly and on time. I got a BC on 65 Marks.
7. Chemistry is absolute so, Passing was absolute 40. Keep that in mind.
For Computer Programming CSL101:
So, This is the subject you’ll get annoyed with. if you aren't interested in this subject or you
hadn’t studied this subject in your school or also if you don’t have any practice. I’m personally
good in this i’d the subject in my school so but if you want to get a good grade in this subject
follow these steps:
1. Follow the youtube channel code with jenny, harry or apna college ,or wherever you like
to study from.
2. Practice questions from geeksforgeeks and w3school and also try to improve your
critical thinking ability. Sometimes questions will be very straightforward in the paper but
will be asked like an interview question. So, be ready for that.
3. You can solve PYQs but i don’t think that this will help you for exams.
4. To write the Solutions in exams, write the explanation along with the code or write it after
the code was written ,and don’t forget to write the logic before the question.
5. I’ll suggest you to go check the marks of CP as you can increase your marks in that. So,
ask the professor when you are showing us our marks and then book the tickets.
6. In Mid sems if you’re getting 15+ marks and in End sems 40+ marks you can easily get
an AA grade. For an AB just reduce the above marks by 5. Submit the assignments on
time. And you should also have some theoretical knowledge for the viva part. In the quiz
you can expect 8/10 marks if you've studied well. I got an AA on 78 Marks. Passing was
35, but can vary depending on the number of students getting FF grade.
7. Try to learn python a bit from the start. You can expect a question from pattern, structure
and file handling for sure in the examination.
8. Learn these functions and points at the very least. Functions: Sum, Prime, LCM, HCF,
NCR, NPR, Factorial(both recursive and non-recursive) etc.. in the notes. Sorting:
Bubble sort is sufficient. Menu driven program for structures.
9. Don’t leave the paper empty. Write at least something about the code. Sir/Mam will give
you the marks in that.
10. Read the question properly if it’s written that you only had to write the function. Leave the
question by just writing the function you don’t have to write the whole code.
11. You can take the book if it’s an open book test. You can get the book from the library. Try
if you can get this book from the library: 681.3.068 B18 B21730 ANSI C “First floor
library” I’d written some important codes in that book (If someone hasn't erased it) you
just have to open page no.180 for the key.
12. In the labs try to make good connections with the M.Tech and Ph.D. scholars. They’ll
help you in the subject too.
For Social Science HUL102:
One of the easiest subject. You can easily score in this. Just follow some tips to ensure a 10
pointer:
1. If Nimbarte sir is teaching you. Just participate in his activities to get a good impression.
Don’t use mobile during the class or he’ll check the mobiles and ask you to open the
whatsapp and check for the first girl name (it doesn’t matter she’s your sister/just
friend/mom) he’ll troll you among the class so be careful and don’t do any other subject
work in his class.
2. No need to take notes, just study from his book and try to get knowledge in the class
itself.
3. Enjoy his class and try to sit in the middle benches to get safe from any kind of chaos.
4. Submit his assignments on time. Be active in his class.
5. In the question paper write the answer very neatly. He'll just check your writing and
presentation ,and try to make a flow chart for each topic and write at least 4 pages for
each question. I’d written the longest answer I've ever written in my life (of 8 Pages).
6. Also keep a thing in mind that writing speed matters.
7. Don’t wait for him to show marks, he'll not increase the marks.
8. Most of the questions are from PYQs. So have a good go through with the PYQs.
9. If you are scoring about 75 in total you’ll definitely get an AA. No one will fail so don’t
worry but try to get 10 pointer here.
10. Social Science is the most important subject and Culture is a learned behavior (keep this
in mind).
For Electrical Engineering Labs EEP103:
You can expect AA/AB in this very easily. Just follow these steps:
1. Write the journal neatly and make border lines on the blank side then write.
2. Don’t get late for the Labs and try to get 100% attendance in Labs.
3. You’ll be divided into groups of 4. You’ve to do the connection, then the assistants will
come and tell you what to do.
4. Never forget your Journal at room/home. Complete your last experiment journal before
entering the lab.
5. Try some questions if asked in the Journal Manual else it is fine.
6. Try making graphs neatly (Especially the RLC parallel one).
7. For Viva, Study for the topics related to the Experiments and Instruments in the Lab ,and
the Theory of you classroom.
8. We’d presentation for the Lab, But some branches had a quiz. So, it depends upon the
professor. Just talk about the topic in the presentation and try to conclude that properly.
9. Written exam will be easy, just get the main key points of the theory, that's it.
10. I got an AB on 81 marks. You can expect AA for 85 and above.
For Chemistry Labs CHP103:
Just be Careful doing the experiments and try not to break apparatus. You can get good grade
in this too. Follow these steps:
1. Try to do experiments on your own.
2. Write the journal neatly and make border lines on the blank side then write.
3. Don’t get late for the Labs and try to get 100% attendance in Labs.
4. For Viva, Study for the topics related to the Experiments.
5. The Lab assistants are chill so no need to worry.
6. For Written exam, try to learn the structures of the indicators and chemicals ,and try to at
least learn some theory and the observation table, and also don’t forget to mention the
unit.
7. I got an AB on 80 marks. You can expect AA for 85 and above.
For Workshops MEP101:
Scoring one too. Just follow some precautions:
1. Always enter the workshop wearing the apron and shoes.
2. Be polite with the professor.
3. Try to follow the instructions.
4. For the quiz, just read the PDFs that are uploaded in this drive link.
5. For the viva, read the journal topics.
6. Be on time for the workshop.
7. Try to complete your work as soon as possible. As sometimes if you've done your work
,the professor will leave you early.
8. If you’d 2 girls in your group. Bro you’ve to do all your work on your own.
9. If you’ve a dayskii friend in your group of 4 and you want to go for a weekend you can
give the pipes and stool top to him/her. He/She can do it for you at the weekend shops.
10. You can expect an AA for 90+ marks, Stool has the weightage so try to make stool
stable and neatly. I got an AB for 86 marks.
Hope you’ll get a better SGPA than me. I got “8.36”.
