Dance Application Essay
Prior to studying business and finance at New York University, I wanted to be a professional ballet
dancer. I fell in love with the art form as a freshman in high school when I saw a performance of the
Nutcracker. At that moment, I decided to take up ballet. Seven years later than the traditional path I
began to study dance, but through tenacity and dedication I was able to gain acceptance to Boston
BalletSchool s Pre Professional Program after a year and a half at a local studio. Nevertheless, I was
put in a class with middle schoolstudents, most of whom were more talented than me. Though I
rarely ever think of ballet as a team activity, as I reflect upon my experience years later, I realize that
my classmates and I were truly a team and that I was able to have an impact on them as a leader.
Spending everyday together, my class grew very close. Ballet... Show more content on

I was soon able to watch my classmates self confidence grow and their dancing abilities flourish. I
led my class out of a negative feedback and created a more positive, supportive, and constructive
environment where my classmates individually and my class as a whole could succeed. Further, the
entire class dynamic improved. My classmates began actively supporting each other and enjoying
dancing more than before. This experience greatly informs my leadership style today. I believe that
the key to being a leader is helping individuals to recognize and capitalize upon their potential.
Individuals often fail to see in themselves what others see. A leader must show team members what
they cannot see to enable them to flourish. This is essential to fostering a diverse community, as
encouraging individuals strengths and differences helps them to express their entire, authentic
selves, as opposed to trying to conform to expectations. As a result, teams can become more
dynamic, positive, and creative and thus more

We are surrounded by organizations and we participate in them as members, employees, customers,
and clients. Most of our life is spent in organization, and they supply the goods and services on
which we depend to live. Organizations on the other hand depend on people, and without people,
they would disappear. Factors Contributing to the Growing Importance of HRM a. Accommodation
to workers needs Workers are demanding that organizations accommodate their personal needs by
instituting such programs as flexible work schedules, parental leave, child care and elder care
assistance, and job sharing. The human resource department plays a central role in establishing and
implementing policies designed to reduce the friction between organizational demands and family
responsibilities. b. Increased complexity of the Manager s job Management has become an
increasingly complex and demanding job for many reasons, including foreign competition, new
technology, expanding scientific information, and rapid change. Therefore, organizations frequently
ask human resource managers for assistance in making strategic business decisions and in matching
the distinctive competencies of the firm s human resources to the mission of the organization.
Executives need assistance from the human resource department in matters of recruitment,
performance evaluation, compensation, and discipline. c. Legislation and litigation The enactment
of state laws has contributed enormously
Mccandless Epigraph
The first epigraph is written by Jack London (an author McCandless looks up to) yet again, except
this time talking about a primordial beast was strong inside a buck. It referred to a small buck
which has been forced to develop itself under the, ...trail life it grew and grew . Thus representing
McCandless and how he has developed due to being under the wildernesses wing in order to be
developed the way he is now. With nature implicating struggles on that buck it will be forced to go
through a secret growth just like John King states. The second epigraph is a response to the first
epigraph by Alex . It reads, All hail the Dominant Primordial Beast! And Captain Ahab Too! . It
signifies how McCandless has come. After his long trip on the
My Advocate Of A Young Child
Advocates throughout one s life can determine that person s trajectory. A positive advocate might
encourage a child to pursue their dreams, despite the unlikeliness of it. Some family member
advocates will help a younger counterpart get through relationship troubles or otherwise personal
conundrums. Unfortunately, there is also often a negative advocates in the lives of many. An older
peer of a young child might encourage risky behavior like harmful drug use, theft or other
unlawful, though fun, activities. One advocate of mine encouraged me to enroll in a higher
education program, an experience I am remembering with distaste as I write a narrative hours
before it is due. However, my advocates have also benefited me in a literary sense of the term. My
advocates in literacy came in the form of parents and a fictional character, which formed my
foundation in relation to literacy, then later on specific English papers and forensics, which sculpted
the nuances in my relationship with literacy.
I would imagine many can relate to an aversion to reading and writing from a very young age.
Additionally, I would also go so far as to propose that many younger children also have a someone
to sponsor their literary endeavors. A literacy sponsor is something someone decided to define which
would otherwise likely go without a name. Dr. Brandt, who has a doctorate in something about
literacy, talks about literacy and defines a sponsor as someone or something that made literary

Before taking this course, I never really thought about what people do in situations involving
bioethics such as medical, animal and environmental ethics. Some main issues are abortion,
euthanasia, legitimacy of zoos and circuses, animal consumption (vegetarianism/veganism), extinct
species of animals, and the destruction of ecosystems and natural resources. While researching this
topic, I thought about something we talked about in class. If there was a bad car accident on the
interstate and the local hospital only had enough resources to serve 6 patients, and there were a
total of 8 critically injured; how would we know which ones to save? This is a very interesting thing
to think about. One major thing I took away from researching this topic was that bioethics was
initially enforced following negative events. One of these events being experiments by humans

Question 1 Describe the Marketing Process

Marketing is defined as an organizational function and a set of processes for creating,
communicating and delivering value to customers and for managing customer relationships in ways
that benefit the organization and its stakeholders. McDonald s is one of the most widely
recognized brands in the world and its effective market planning is one of the factors that have lead
to its success on a global scale.

The key word in the definition of marketing is processes . Marketing process involves: I. Analyzing
marketing opportunities II. Selecting target markets III. Developing the market mix IV. Managing
the marketing effort
The first step for McDonald s, or any other organization for that matter, is to research and analyze the
long run opportunities in the market in order to satisfy the unfulfilled customer needs. This research
can be done effectively by the situational analysis and the SWOT analysis, both of which should
include the past, present and the future endeavors. Some of the main elements that need to be
present during the situational analysis are the
The Dropping Of The Atomic Bomb
The dropping of the atomic bombs in Japan was a very helpful source for the United States during
the WWII. President Truman, took the responsibility of dropping and creation of the atomic bomb.
For the reason that The United States was seeking revenge on Japan for the attack at Pearl Harbor.
The atomic bomb caused a high number of innocent Japanese deaths and also awful sickness. The
atomic bombs left a big impact in the Japanese empire; also effected the Japanese at the time of the

stop to many issues that may had occurred during the WWII. Nevertheless, the usage of the
second atomic bomb made the Japanese realize that the United States had created a powerful
weapon, and lead to their surrender. Second of all, the atomic bomb was the most proper manner
in avoiding a Japanese invasion. The United States was mostly concern on an unexpected invasion
or attack from Japan, such as the attack on Pearl Harbor. According to the article History, President
Roosevelt commented I believe I interpret the will of the congress and of the people when I assert
that we will not only defend ourselves to the uttermost, but will make very certain that this form of
treachery shall never endanger us again. Moreover, the unexpected attack on Pearl Harbor is a
perfect example of the damages that they
John Maynard Case Summary
Unfortunately, when Maynard signed the sales agreement with Pierre s he created a contract
between the two of them. A contract is defined as a legally enforceable exchange of promises or
an exchange of a promise for an act. (2009, Kubasek p285). No, Maynard, doesn t have an
argument to have his money refunded. If he would have read the sales agreement for the
purchase of said automobile he would have known the sale of the car was an as is sale which
protects the Pierre s against any claims that may arise due to mechanical failure. Under the
Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) Maynard s rights in respect to the as is agreement are; 1) both
parties made an agreement, 2) an exchange of promises was made, 3) both parties are legally
