The Importance Of The Internet
Abstract
The Internet has changed our lives. Some people spend many hours browsing the Internet.
However, what appears obvious, the question remains, why do people use the Internet? I will share
a list of the top reasons why I turn to the web, over and over again and some of the ways the Internet
has influenced society positively and negatively.
Why I Use the Internet?
I am convinced the Internet is one the most successful and useful tools ever created. The Internet is
the modern source of information that can be delivered in a variety of media from written words,
graphics, videos, images and more. The main reasons I use the Internet is for information,
communication, and entertainment.
The Internet for information
First, for information, the Internet is the largest and continuously growing library and information
gathering tool. Web sites that I use such as WebMD serve as a helpful resource to answer
questions on prescription drugs or help you to understand your medical condition and treatment
options. Others such as Google Scholar and JSTOR are a digital library that provides access to
tons of academic articles, books, and other primary resources for research. I also use the Internet to
get information on local and world news and updates on sports. ESPN, MSN and ABC 7 are the
web sites that I view often.
Occasionally, I will use search engines such as Google and Yahoo to search for general or basic
information on a particular subject for a research

Reasons For The Death Of Romeo And Juliet
Romeo and Juliet are a play based on two star crossed lovers who ended in tragedy. Love,
Irrational thinking and the family feud among the two households along with Tybalt provoking
fights, and Lord Capulet forcing Juliet to marry Count Paris whom she did not want to marry. The
three main reasons for the death of Romeo and Juliet are the characters Lord Capulet and Tybalt as
well as timing and fate of all the events and confrontations leading up to their deaths. Lord Capulet
forced Juliet into a marriage that she had no say in and was only to the benefit of her father. Tybalt
provoked many fights with both Romeo and Mercutio his friend, in turn, eventually killing Mercutio.
Romeo then kills Tybalt worsening Romeo and Juliet s relationship by pulling them apart. Finally,
the feud among the two households from the get go prohibited their relationship. All in all, these
three aspects of the play lead to the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Lord Capulet and Lady Capulet, the
father and Mother of Juliet were the first decisive factor in pulling apart Romeo and Juliet. The
parents of Juliet constant mission to court her to Count Paris affect Juliet in many ways. It gave her
hatred for her father and mother as well as hurting Romeo and Juliet s marriage. Lord Capulet put
stress and unwanted tension between the two lovers in turn affecting their decision making ability.
Although unknown to him, Lord Capulet greatly affected Juliet s mental state as well. She was

Reagan s Economic Policy
In 1981 President Jimmy Carter left America in an inevitable hole that the country needed to get out
of. The country was left with high inflation, unemployment and a major energy crisis. America

Reagan s supply slide theory included two main things: a major tax cut and economic growth.
The cuts on taxes would be responsible for a decrease in taxes on the topic of national debt. The
Economic Recovery Tax Act of 1981, the bill represented a significant change in the course of
federal income tax policy. The act included a 25 percent reduction in marginal tax rates for
people. These tax cuts were designed to create an increase of capital in the of the

Infertility, Insulin Resistance, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome...
Polycystic ovary syndrome is an endocrine disorder that affects at least 10% of women living in the
United States. Insulin Resistance plays a large part in fertility for women who have polycystic ovary
syndrome. Myo Inositol improves fertility, and alleviates many of the symptoms associated with
polycystic ovary syndrome and insulin resistance.
Polycystic ovary syndrome is a condition that affects many different parts of the body, not just the

Radiologic abnormalities on an ultrasound would show polycystic ovaries. Polycystic ovaries are
the formation of clusters of pearl sized cysts containing immature eggs in the ovaries. In healthy
women, a follicle grows and at the time of ovulation, an egg is released into the Fallopian tube. In
women with polycystic ovary syndrome, the development of the follicle is arrested and the egg
does not burst forth. Therefore, the egg dies and the follicle becomes a cyst that remains in the ovary
(Banning 635 636).
A clinical feature of polycystic ovary syndrome is anovulation. Anovulation is the absence of
ovulation. Ovulation is the process in which the ovary releases an egg into the Fallopian tube. If an
egg is not present to meet the sperm in the Fallopian tube, then conception cannot take place. If a
woman is not ovulating then she is not able to conceive. Therefore, anovulation is the most common
cause of infertility (Raffone, Rizzo and Benedetto 275). Anovulation is a symptom of insulin
resistance.
Insulin resistance is when the body s cells do not respond to insulin. When this happens the level
of glucose in the blood increases. Insulin resistance may also cause more insulin to be produced as
the body tries to move glucose into cells (Sedwick 1). High insulin levels may cause the appetite to
increase and lead to imbalances in other hormones. Insulin resistance is considered an early form of
diabetes.
Insulin Resistance affects both men and
Postmodernism In Post Modernism
Post Modernism is a revolutionary era that follows Modernism and developed in mid to late
twentieth century. It takes a changed and developed approach across philosophy, art, criticism, and
architecture and makes a departure from Modernism. The term Postmodernism is applied to an era
that both follows modernity, and also acts as a host of movements that emerged during the era
especially in art, music, and literature, marked by the tendencies against modernism. It is more like
the rejection of conventional social norms , followed by the Counter culture movement. Counter
culture movement spreads massively in Europe and North America during mid 20th century, which
is a subculture whose norms of behavior and values substantially differ from those of dominant
mainstream society and culture. Its 1960 s to 1970 s development generated a unique brand of its
own in the field of notable literature, including comics and cartoons.

It was his third published novel, after The Collector (1963) and The Magus (1965). The novel
presents a Victorian tale and setting with the elements of Postmodernism and the characters that are
ahead of their time. Thus, it resembles a Victorian novel in structure and detail, while pushing the
traditional boundaries of narrative in a very modern manner. It explores the fraught relationship of
gentleman and amateur naturalist Charles Smithson and Sarah Woodruff, the former governess and
independent woman with whom he falls in love. Fowles has represented Sarah Woodruff and
Charles in a very contrasting manner, one being so independent and other like more stereotypical
male characters, that also receives attention for its treatment of gender issues. The novel builds on
Fowles authority in Victorian literature, both following and critiquing many of the conventions of

The Pros And Cons Of Drinking Age
In all fifty states in the United States of America, the legal drinking age for people is 21 years
old. Many people in the country and people from other countries ask the question, why is it so
excessive as opposed to most countries in the world where the standard is 18 years old? There is
a multitude of different reasons behind this including the Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and
many other groups having heavy influences along with political parties which influence
lawmaking in the country. Alcohol can lead to fun parties, meeting great people, experiencing
everything life has to offer but also has a dark side. Drinking can also have serious consequences;
for example, when I was still in high school I knew these two girls and at a party, I swear half of
the school was at, they were drunk but told everybody they could drive. These girls hit a tree
going 40 mph and both died and from what people told me they weren t even that drunk. To
prevent this type of incident from happening in 1984, President Ronald Reagan passed the
Minimum Drinking Age Act which raised the minimum drinking age to 21 or suffers a 10% cut in
federal highway funding. This act was made to prevent the sale and consumption of any form of
alcohol to anybody under the age of 21. The people who stand to gain the most from a lower
drinking age are individuals who work for alcohol involved companies such as, actual alcohol
manufacturing breweries, bars, nightclubs, and even restaurants. One industry
