grassroots and a nontraditional feel of the brand that sets them apart from their competitors. In order
to do so, it has been recommended that they partner up with well known retail stores such as Macy s

As Lululemon incorporated e commerce in 2009, a technological as well as an external factor is to
ensure customer service provides the same level of customer services as the face to face interaction

The Horses Of The Night By Margaret Laurence
An individual s need to renounce a decision or a course of action can often lead to an individual
forsaking themselves and choosing to live in their own fantasy, and not living in reality. In the
short story The Horses of the Night , Chris has to deal with his below average life, in his below
average house, and to do so he creates his own delusions by renouncing what his life is now. As
the story progresses, the life of Chris progressively gets worse, with no job and no college
education, Chris continued to create more delusions until finally, Chris could no longer handle it
and chose a life outside of reality, leaving his body behind. Chris chose to renounce his life in its
entirety and to live in a false reality in which he created in... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Chris believes that his life will turn out as he sees it will and that it will all work out well in the
end, despite his average grades and below average life. An additional point in the story where
Chris has not yet escaped all of reality, but only the worst parts is when he says, we ve got these
two riding horses[,] Duchess and Firefly . This illustrates that the home life of Chris is not ideal,
that Chris would rather live in his alternate version of his own reality than the one he was born into
when it comes to his home life. Chris continues to live in reality for the most part and only escapes
to his delusion during the worst parts of his life, he continues to struggle to hold on to what s real
despite the appeal of his imaginary world.
However, after failing to get into college, Chris chooses to leave is home and seek a job
elsewhere by escaping the life he lives and deluding himself that his life will still, for the most
part, turn out as he wished, slowly losing hope and slowly losing himself from reality. A moment
that depicts Chris s failing grasp of his own reality is when Vanessa says, He... thumbed a lift with a
truck to Winnipeg , showing that Chris was beginning to get desperate to escape his current life and
chose to continue his own deception and renounce his home life. Chris chose running away from
home to a place he had never been over the home in which he
Biblical Themes In Wonder Woman
Biblical Themes Found in the Wonder Woman Film (2017) The Wonder Woman film, produced in
2017 and directed by Patty Jenkins; tells the story of a heroine who fights to save mankind from the
grips of an evil god, who threatens to destroy mankind and strip them of any freedom they currently
posess. Throughout the film, there are several underlying messages and themes that can also be
found in the King James Version of the bible. While the films storyline is based on a mythological
Greek story, there are many themes presented that are very similar to biblical themes, as well as
themes that are contrary and vastily different than those found in the biblical accounts. Although
there are many biblically influenced innuendos in the storyline of Wonder Woman, it is important to
note that the original... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the Wonder Woman film, there is said to be a plurality of gods. Diana is just one of many,
created by Zeus. She is also capable of being destroyed, is not said to be eternal, and is not able to
create life. The God of the bible is presented as the only God, who created all things in existence
(Isaiah 45:5, John 1:3). Unlike Diana, this God is said to be omniscient (all knowing) and
omnipresent (a state of being in all places at once). He is also said to be eternal, without an end
(Isaiah 46:9 10, Hebrews 4:13, 1 Timothy 1:17, Psalm 90:2). There was also a great temptation
that was faced and resisted before the triumphant victories. However, the victories were brought
about in different ways. Diana saved mankind by destroying the god, Ares. However, her saving
didn t provide eternal life for anyone. According to the bible, Jesus Christ saved mankind by
giving his own life as a ransom, paying the price for the sins of mankind and giving an opportunity
for eternal life towards those who believe (1 Timothy 2:5 6, Romans 6:23, John
Essay on Charles I
Charles I Rulers of European countries during the 17th century had almost unlimited autonomy over
their respective countries. They were the head of government in all respects, and all decisions were
eventually made by them. However, along with this autonomy came responsibility in the form of
the people. If the decisions of these rulers did not improve the country, the possibility existed that
their power would be either curbed or taken away by the people. As ruler of Englandin the early 17th
century, Charles Stuart believed strongly in absolute power and a king s divine right to rule. He
believed that a king was given his power by God and therefore had no reason to answer to the
people. The Parliament in England at the time... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first of these conflicts occurred right after Charles ascendance to the throne between England
and Spain and was in large part the result of a failed marriage treaty between Catholic Spain and
Protestant England that would have married Charles to the Spanish Infanta.4 Charles had been
tricked into a treaty that would have given Catholics increased rights in Protestant England, a
provision that would have assuredly angered the people of England.5 In addition, the first
Parliament of Charles reign passed two measures that doomed this conflict. First, it only granted
Charles the right to collect customs duties for one year, instead of for life.6 Secondly, Parliament
gave Charles only about a fourth of the money that he needed to adequately fund the war.
However, Charles and Buckingham believed that if the army could loot a port and intercept the
goods coming from the Spanish colonies in America, the treasury could be stocked up again. So
despite the lack of funding, Charles chose to raise an army to set out for the Spanish port of
Cadiz.7 However, the army was inadequately supplied with capable soldiers, ships, and provisions.
Most of the soldiers in this army were rogues
Honor And Glory In The Iliad, By Homer
The Iliad, by Homer, is an epic poem that portrays a 9 year war between the Trojans and the
Greeks. The objective of the war was to retrieve Helen, the wife of Menelaus, from Paris, a Trojan
prince, but it resulted in a brutal, prolonged battle. The Iliad begins with the ire of Achilles who
decides to sit out of the 9 year war because he is unwilling to fight for the Agamemnon any further,
as Agamemnon is, in the eyes of Achilles, a coward who is unwilling to fight his own war. In the
Greek world Honor and Glory were essential elements in defining the worthiness of a man. Honor
took form in taking the reputation of another, and Glory took form in recognition of an accolade.
Hence, In The Iliad, Homer degrades the ideology of Honor and Glory through Achilles rejection to
participate in the war.
In The Iliad, the tenet of Honor, by the recognition of accomplishments, in the Greek world is
shown through the conversations between Glaucus and Sarpedon about the 9 year war. In book
12, Sarpedon attempts to convince Glaucus to fighting the Greeks by saying, But as it is, death is
everywhere, in more shapes than we can count, and since no mortal is immune or can escape, Let
us go forward either to give to another man or to get glory from him (12.338 342). Here Sarpedon
speaks with conviction about the common war beliefs ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In The Iliad Achilles was the only man who defied this convention in the Trojan war, where he chose
to sit out of the war, rather than to fight and slaughter as he always has in wars. Homer, the author
of the Iliad, chose to make Achilles a symbol of an alternative exception towards the conventions of
Honor and Glory, where Andromache, Hector s wife, also serves as a reminder
Understanding Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
Understanding Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and How it Effects Learning
Learning can be affected by many things that occur throughout a student s education career.
Therefore, has anyone ever thought of how a student s mental well being could affect their learning
process? The fact is, approximately 4 6% of youth nationwide will be diagnosed with Post Traumatic
Stress Disorder (PTSD) upon meeting the specific criteria due to experiencing a traumatic event that
includes symptoms such as reduced concentration and disturbing thoughts, which may rigorously
interfere with school performance (Kataoka, Langley, Wong, Baweja Stein, 2012). While these
percentages may seem small, it is still extremely important that students and instructors alike are
made aware of PTSD, its symptoms and effective treatments in order to provide support for one
another. Comprehension of the definition of PTSD is required when it comes to communication and
providing aid to an individual suffering from it. A common misconception of this disorder is that
only combat veterans bear psychological stress that affects their state of mind.
Although, that presently is not the case, the experiences of Vietnam Veterans did lead to the
disorders introduction into the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 3rd edition
(DSM III) in 1980 (Kato, Kawata Pitman, 2006). Since 1980, PTSD, (depicted by the National
Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) (n.d.) as an anxiety disorder that some people get
Radiation Concentration Of Unknown Samples Using A Uv...
etermination of iodine concentration of Unknown samples using a UV Visible Spectrophotometer.
Abstract:
The purpose of this experiment is to use UV/Visible Spectrophotometer to determine the
concentration on three unknown samples of iodine (A, B and C), this is done by measuring the
absorbance of different known concentration of iodine using a UV/Visible Spectrophotometer and
plotting a calibration curve of Absorbance Vs Concentration (as shown in Fig 4). This is used to
find the concentration of the unknown samples as the absorbance was measured using a UV
Spectrophotometer. The wavelength used to measure the absorbance is 287.20 nm and the method
number used was 40 . The concentration of Samples A, B and C are 1.48*10 4M, 1.03*10 4M ...

When a light set at a specific wavelength enters the cuvette which contains the solution that need to
be tested, some of the incident light (I0) is absorbed by the solution, and the rest of the light which
leaves the solution (the transmitted light I) is detected, the amount of light absorbed depends on the
concentration of the solution. The amount of light that goes into the solution and the amount of light
that leaves the solution gives a value of the absorbance (A) of the solution which can be calculated
by using the equation: (A= log (I/I0)). This equation assumes that all the incident light is either
transmitted or absorbed, therefore, reflection or scattering are insignificant. [1]
The quantity of light absorbed is inversely proportional to the logarithm of the amount of light
absorbed by the substance. The amount of light absorbed by a substance is directly proportional to
the concentration of the substance (As the concentration increases, the absorbance also increases
provided that the wavelength is constant). [1]
A= lc [1]
Where is the substance and wavelength specific absorption coefficient,
I is the length the light travels through the sample and c is the concentration of the sample. [1]
To comprehend the theory behind how a spectrophotometer works, an understanding of the
relationship between energy and light must be required. Light contains tiny packs
How Technology Has Shaped The World Of Business We Know...
Introduction Technology s evolution has shaped the world of business we know today. It was
absolutely necessary, just a few decades ago, to be present in a physical work place for one s
occupation; being if that occupation involved an office. Today, a company of two hundred people
can be run from all remote locations. This is thanks to virtual teams, with the use of varying
applications of course. According to Harvard Business Review, a virtual teamis a team made up of
members all in different physical locations (Ferrazi). Although not one hundred percent effective,
technology is continually evolving and is making this concept more available and popular among
businesses. As this team concept has become popular, I continue to meet more people whom have
participated in such. In an attempt to understand these team atmospheres further, and the
communicationinvolved, I interviewed two people who are currently managers of their own virtual
teams; the first was Meredith and second was Jerome. For this paper, I will examine each of these
interviews and then compare the two. Asking five questions to both, there were many similarities
between the two; and also a few surprising moments. Let s take a look.
The Interviews Meredith is an advisor at Southern New Hampshire University, and she heads the
division for students whom are employed full time. This role requires her to lead a virtual team,
along with her boss, using multiple platforms to do so. This is a different
