The entire management team needs a baseline of understanding , which develops a common language and fra
OEE implementation and support.
The management team, at every level of the organization, must be aligned around the purpose and importance
implementation of the change initiatives. This group would include the executive team, departmental, and first
down to the shop and office floor level. The initiative should be reflected in their operating plans and performan
individual and team level. The change efforts cannot be seen as something other than their real jobs. This is ke
organizational alignment around the Strategy.
This team would be responsible to provide support in the planning, resourcing, implementation, and follow-up a
implementation. The steering team is often identical to the normal line management team. The internal resourc
consultants would provide consulting support to the team. This infrastructure would resolve inter-departmental
team would be responsible for:
· Aligning OEE efforts to the overall business objectives
· Determining sequence and timing of roll out, including implementation responsibility and accountability
· Workshop leaders roles and responsibilities

These leaders will be trained to plan and conduct OEE Improvement workshop events, future process improvem

These leaders will be recruited from the formerly trained RI-Workshop leaders and will be further trained to edu
RI-Workshop leaders to secure the consequent roll - out through out the BU. They will guarantee the future proc
efforts, they will be a important part of the future CPI (Continues Process Improvement). They will be capable a
leading OEE events, training and to certify.
A clear Assessment of the current management team’s style, strengths, and tendencies helps lay the baseline
management development plan. The plan addresses additional skills that are needed for the entire team and in
process facilitates the preparation of a succession plan that addresses the needs of the company to build the n
leadership to ensure continuity.
The entire new Business Unit needs to be reinforced and aligned by the performance management and measur
assuring a balanced, focused view of the entire enterprise. This system deploys measures such as: customer sa
shareholder value, quality, cost, delivery, safety, morale (internal customer satisfaction), etc. This is an importa
building a system that is aligned from the top-level strategies down to the process-level
Begin by mapping the existing processes for products currently made. Use the process flowcharts to m

An effective OEE design also utilizes a high level of visual control. Workers, supervisors and other manage
to tell how the system is running by simply walking past and observing it. This is accomplished by using such to
graphs, and other materials posted within the cell to communicate: planned versus actual output; planned cell
timing; success stories; scrap rates; downtime; etc. Another example of visual control to monitor flow through t
indicators such as lights on top of equipment to show when it is running and not running. This helps to quickly p

Select and use measures to gauge project results. These may include: increased throughput per labor ho
