Background
The educational context
The study focused on students taking a module entitled Psychological Perspectives in Nursing. This
module is a compulsory part of a preregistration diploma in the nursing course and covers three
semesters. A variety of features made the module suitable for the present purpose. The module has a
very large enrolment, it is mainly delivered by lectures although students can seek one to one
academic support, and it is assessed summatively by essay format. Empirical evidence suggests that
such an educational context affects the quality of student learning and subsequent performance. For
example, large class size negatively affects student performance (Raimondo et al. 1990, Fearnley
1995, Gibbs et al. 1997), student teacher interactions and class discussions (Mahler et al. 1986,
Raimondo et al. 1990). Also, a lecture format retards the development of higher level cognitive
skills, including deep approaches to learning

Persuasive Essay On Women In Combat
The topic of women in combat is an ongoing debate that is currently being argued in many places,
commonly in the United States. Women in combat next to men and a free women combat are two
different perspectives in which women in combat are defined by their gender. Women in combat
will provide help to those men who are to attend a combat. A free women combat, on the other hand,
prevents women from dying during combat due to not being allowed in combat. Since Women aren t
able to be included in any job in the militaryand have a right to be equally treated like men in
combat, it ll be unfair to more people. Women should be given the same right as men out in
battlefields because women serving in the armed forceshas not wavered as warfare has changed, a
clear sign that the necessity of women serving in combat is recognized. In addition, several other
countries outside the U.S. already have women serving on the front lines. Lastly, Combat is
nothing new to our women in the military. Several women have already given their lives serving in
combat. Women have, over the years, worked hard to get awarded the choice towards their career.
Although it prevents more deaths, it s also a sexist matter. Any job in the military should be a
choice for women, it s their career after all and they can make their own decisions.
Considering the fact that many people would die due to the skills needed, it s understandable that
many people would be joyful to pursue these ladies a new option for their career. People who are
against women in combat point out that women aren t capable of doing such a manly job. Their
argument is that women don t have the upper body strength to be able to carry a wounded soldier
to safety (Neven, 2015, p.) Women in combat would then won t be able to do such a job, so they
would be denied the position. Women not being able to have a position in combat would give less
support to the men who suffer an accident. This topic can then close as women being denied the
position saving them from death, but the finale for this argument will leave women, and others
unsatisfied, and it wouldn t be quite fair for them.
One of the biggest factors that support the topic is that women serving in the armed forces
The Importance Of Weather Patterns In Northern Hemisphere
In recent years the weather patterns are nothing short of crazy. While parts of the Northern
Hemisphere are suffering intolerable cold conditions with floods and excessive winds and snow
falls in the Southern Hemisphere there is extensive droughts, floods, winds and other horrors like
super fires. In Australia as elsewhere the droughts have cost lives as farmers kill off their animals
and dig crops into the ground. Those crying the loudest about the drought gripping their
livelihoods are pictured on acreage where there is barely a tree in sight. The land is devoid of any
shade and animals suffer in extreme temperatures of 40* and more on many days. Where winds are
roaring over the ground bare of any covering it picks up speed and before long

King Louis Xiv Essay
The king is woken up at 7:30 8:00 am by the 1st valet de chambre. He is washed, shaved, dressed,

would want governmentofficials to sign anything would be if they were to have his permission.

Preventing The Influenza Virus Within School Aged Children

Preventing the Influenza Virus in School aged Children
Tracy Bell
Community College of Baltimore County
Children rely on the decisions that are made by responsible individuals in their lives including
parents, caretakers, and other authorities such as teachers. Because children depend on others so
heavily, health issues that affect children such as contracting the influenza virus or the flu should be
discussed with the adults in their lives. Every year a new strain of the influenza virus affects the
health of school aged children causing a potential health risk to themselves and others around them.
The spread of the influenza virus in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One way to help stop the spread of the influenza virus is through receiving yearly vaccinations.
Every year through predictions, a group of scientists help drug companies develop vaccines for
the approaching influenza season (Surviving the flu season, 2016). Due to the importance of
receiving the vaccine there should be a plan in place that makes this vaccine more accessible to
all individuals especially the younger population. A start could be partnering with the local
medical community to initiate school vaccination programs. Having a nationwide program
advocate for kids that do not have a primary doctors, insurance, or means or transportation to get
to a clinic to be vaccinated would be highly beneficial. School based health clinics can be
successful because kids are already in one central location around ninety two to ninety eight percent
are in attendance at school on average (Herbert, Gargano, Painter, Sales, Morfaw, Murray,
DiClemente, Hughes, 2013). In addition, having kids get vaccinated at the same time could prevent
influenza cases, and decrease medical care cost for families. School age kids also remain carriers of
the virus for an extended period of time, therefore targeting school aged kids is critical to helping
minimize the spread of the influenza virus in the community (Herbert et al., 2013). Additionally,
having all students vaccinated can minimize the severity
The Two Theorists Of Working With Others
Learning as a group consisted of working with others but also figuring out how to work with
others. A person needs to figure out the strengths and weaknesses of their group to properly
understand how to function efficiently in a group. If the members in the group are not able to
work together and argue for the majority of the time, no work will get done. I had the luxury of
having to deal with this task of having to discover which methods would work in order to work
with others well and efficiently make a quality film. From past experiences, I have learned that
groups work together well when everyone is on the same page. No one is confused and rarely
questioning other people s ideas. Also when communicating ideas, it is helpful to have everyone
brainstorm. With everyone brainstorming about possible themes or ideas directed towards the
project, it makes everyone feel involved in the process of completing the project and no one is left
out. In reading different theorists, my ideas about how to work in groups was altered. The two
theorists in which I studied and learned from were Knud Illeris and Etienne Wenger. Illeris theory
emphasized that people that were learninghad different backgrounds that affected their ability to
learn. Illeris developed a chart in which the Basis, Internal Conditions, External Conditions all
determined how people learned and how they applied the knowledgethat they had. The Basis
consists of the biology, psychology, and social science of the

The Inevitable Spread of Soviet backed Communism in Eastern Europe
At the end of World War II, the Soviet Union, Great Britain and the United States were principle
players involved with reshaping post war Europe. The region most affected policy changes was
Eastern Europe, which includes those states that would eventually fall behind the Iron Curtain.
While the camaraderie between the Big Three deteriorated, Soviet backed communism was
spreading across Eastern Europe. The argument during this time was that expansionism was
inevitable since Stalin had already decided to establish Soviet power and Soviet typed systems in the
lands his army occupied; resistance was pointless. While nothing in history is inevitable, to a great
extent, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Democracy never properly developed in Eastern Europe. The leaders and the elites of the newly
independent Eastern states believed that Western styled constitutional governments would produce
Western styled democracies that would be stable and prosperous, as well as effectively guarantee
their power against challengers. Democracy strangely benefited the old elites and extremists were
elected into government. The democratic roots planted in Western Europe were unable to take hold,
leaving Eastern Europe vulnerable to communism.
There were also political and economic structural weaknesses in Eastern Europe after 1945. The
communists had a high probability of successfully filling the void in the political structure. The
forces to resist them were no longer there, either because they were destroyed by World War II or
undermined by the outcome of post war settlements. Those involved in the fledgling democratic
forces in Eastern Europe were systematically killed, deported or forced into exile, first by the
Germans, then by the communists, illustrating the weak democratic foundations of the region.
According to Schopflin, In essence, Central and Eastern Europe was the scene of a power
vacuum and the communists proved to be the force best able to fill it (60). In Czechoslovakia, for
example, the old elite lost prestige and self confidence after the war, and the upper and middle
classes were repressed. In Yugoslavia, the war left a tradition of

The Influence Of The American Dream In Aladdin
The characters in Aladdin are all striving for the American Dream. Aladdin, Jasmine, and the Genie
are all victims who seek their freedom from social oppression or from being trapped by law or
outdated custom (Wise 106). This unifying thread throughout the film shows how anyone despite
their circumstances change their life and make it what they want it to be playing off of the ideal of
the American Dream.
One way that the American Dream is intertwined into Aladdin is through the dual nature of the
main character Aladdin. In the original version of Aladdin is called the Thief of Bagdad (1940),
the prince appears as a blind beggar and Abu as his dog, the prince makes it very clear his true
identity so that viewers can discover his transformation was the result of Jaffar s magic rather than
the prince s deception. Only at the outset does the prince disguise himself, and that choice too is a
result of Jaffar s trickery, not the prince s duplicity and further showing that the prince is reacting to
other s actions (Bernstein Studlan 189). In comparison, Disney s Aladdin, also has multiple identities
but they are created due to his own choices and actions not because of others. Aladdin is identified as
a street rat, diamond in the rough, and prince Ali (Bernstein Studlan 189). Disney is making the
point that in pursuing the American Dream, people take on many identities to ensure their social
mobility by shedding one identity for another.
However, Aladdin and the Thief of Bagdad are similar because the title character steals from local
vendors in to survive. In Disney s version, Aladdin is a moral character because he only takes
enough to survive. Aladdin s morality goes one step farther because he is willing to give away
what he steals to less fortunate children who are also starving due to the same unjust social order.
By giving away food in a Robin Hood manner Aladdin is showing his dual nature as diamond in the
rough because he was stealing for a good cause yet still sticking to his roots as a street rat by stealing
to begin with (Wise 106).
The idea that Aladdin is a diamond in the rough is something that the film emphasizes so that
viewers understand that everyone has the potential to do great
Antoine Fuqua Training Day Analysis
This crime dram movie by Antoine Fuqua Training Day is a spectacular and dingy tale of morality
overflowing with great acting, wonderful pacing, and themes that are simultaneously prescient and
timeless. The film resonates louder and louder with each instance of police violence across the
nation, as those in power bend their institution to subdue those in their communities. At the same
time, the filmdeals with ambition, the length that heroes should or will go to do desirable things.
In a realistic and urban setting as seen at the peak of events in this film where Hoyt draws a firm
line, his new worldview clashes directly with Alonzo s, and there is simply no room for a quarter.
Training Day features a plot that appears fairly straightforward on the surface, but has subtleties
bubbling up from start to finish. Jake Hoyt (Ethan Hawke) is the newbie detective on a narco
beat, and Alonzo Harris (Denzel Washington) is the streetwise mentor who can open all the doors
for Hoyt. The two are narcotics officers and go through a day on the streets of LA doing their
investigations. Along the way, a more nuanced collection of hidden plot elements emerge in a hyper
realistic kind of film noir, with the audience uncovering more and more details at the same pace as
Jake. There is also a fantastic false climax in the film, which serves to trick the audience into
thinking that the story is near its end, but careful consideration of ... Show more content on

The major theme in this movie is about police corruption. A feeling of authenticity is given by the
main acts and other members where it feels like danger can happen at any time. Snoop Dog is
engaged in drug dealing where they were under police tracking, this involved crime, fighting, and
even abduction. This theme puts forward the reality of drugs and investigation police; it is funny
that police who use drugs are in a cracking of drug dealers and transporters in

Hardware and Project Considerations When Implementing A New CRM System The most effective
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems are deliberately designed to align and enhance
the strategic initiatives and programs of a given business or enterprise. They must take into account
customer preferences, needs and wants as well, and strive to create a foundation of shared
information and insight over time There are a myriad of studies that show how effective CRM
systems are in transforming businesses and making them more customer centric, profitable and
responsive to rapidly changing market requirements. The level of adoption and continued use of
CRM systems also assures a company s culture stays agile enough to respond to changing market
conditions while also keeping the level of expertise and knowledge about customers continually
growing (Chen, Chiu, 2010). Having a single system of record pertaining to all customer interactions
give companies a competitive advantage in that they have greater insight into how prospects make
buying decisions (Wang, Feng, 2012). When implementing a CRM system there are five critical
success factors that are essential to its success and these include cost, risk, scope, time, and quality.
The most effective CRM implementations that deliver the greatest value balance all five of these
factors and synchronize them together to create strategies that deliver consistently profitable results.
These five critical success factors are essential
