In The First Theory,Realism, The International System Is
In the first theory, Realism, the international system is defined by anarchy and the lack of a central
authority, meaning that states are independent from each other and no structure or system can
establish a forced relation among them. In this type of system, power is the main objective that
each state plans to accomplish because only by achieving this power they can protect themselves
and survive. According to this theory, there are different powers that a state plans to achieve for
example the military power, the economic power or the diplomatic power. States seek to achieve
the instruments of hard and soft power, to gain influence over other states and to accomplish this
goal may be necessary to engage in war, conflicts or... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Realism theory explain that even if all the countries appear to have different objectives
according to particular circumstances, in reality they have common intentions, which are focused on
re building the logic of policy makers. And the last assumption sees a country as a unitary actor . The
nature of the international system defines the main problems that a country can face (Holsti, 1985) .
Realism was a dominant model of explaining the concept of international relations during the past
six decades and was considered to be a framework in order to analyses and understand better the
First World War, The Second World war, and the Cold War.But, Classical Realism is described as a
pessimistic theory of understanding the human nature, when is distinguished that egoism and self
interested attitude are base of the phenomenon known as homopoliticus . According to Classical
Realism, the question of why exists conflict and war in the world is founded on human nature
characteristics. In order to eliminate this problem, later was developed a new theory, the Modern
Realist theory, which pointed out that the structure of the international system can be used as an
instrument to explain and understand more the state behavior. The Modern Realists realized that
words like power , national interests or balance of power , are contradictory concepts. According to
Classical Realism theory, power is an important element, but the relation among power balance and
political output,

Researchers routinely choose an ◊ level of 0.05 for testing their hypotheses. What are some
experiments for which you might want a lower ◊ level (e.g., 0.01)? What are some situations in
which you might accept a higher level (e.g., 0.1)?
An alpha level of 0.05 is arbitrary and was set as a standard by scientists. One of the key concepts
in hypothesis testing is that of significance level or, the alpha level, which specifies the probability
level for the evidence to be an unreasonable estimate. Unreasonable means that the estimate should
not have taken its particular value unless some non chance factor(s) had operated to alter the nature
of the sample such that it was no longer representative of the population of interest. (Price, 2000) ...

How would you explain the analysis of variance, assuming that your audience has not had a statistics
class before?
When examining the differences between two or more groups, you can use the analysis of
variance which is known as ANOVA. This is a statistical technique that is used to compare the
means or averages of more than two groups. There are three uses of ANOVA which are the one
way, the two way and N way Multivariate ANOVA. (Solutions, 2013) The determining factor when
to use one of the ways is dependent upon how many treatments are used in the study. We use the
term treatment because ANOVA originated in the 1920 s to test different treatments of fertilizers
crop yields. ( Analysis of Variance, 2012, p. 2) Here, we will cover the one way and the two way
ANOVA.
The one way between groups, ANOVA is used when you want to test the difference between two
or more groups. This is the simplest version of ANOVA. (Crossman, 2013) This could be used for
example in a study on the ages of patients on different cardiac medications. Here we are only

Analysis Of Gwen Harwood s Anthology Of Selected Poems
The notion that ordinary, everyday experiences encompass universal emotions of both sadness and
delight is central to Gwen Harwood s anthology of Selected Poems. This Australian poet often uses
her personal journey towards self knowledge and experience of growing up to comment on
universal aspects of raw, uncensored life experiences. She aims to convey the idea that motherhood
is a difficult experience for many women who resent the way they are forced to abandon their
individuality and careers. Harwood also illustrates the sadness in the lossof innocence and regrets in
childhood. However, she also reminds the audience of the importance of celebrating the richness and
vitality of humanlife such as the importance and power of women and parenthood. Ultimately the
collection also suggests that aspects of both sadness and delight are evident in every human
experience.
Harwood s works challenge the patriarchal, societal view of motherhood as a role of delight, joy
and fulfillment, revealing the hollow façade of meaningless that often comes with domestic
suburban roles. She explores the role of women in her contemporary Australian society, criticising
and challenging the expectations that women must be restricted to the domestic sphere in this
patriarchal society. Harwood s graphic description and evocative imagery conveys the hopelessness
of many women. Home of Mercy explores how females are dehumanized as the pregnant, unmarried
girls have sinned in the eyes of society and

Abstract
OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to report the results of a consecutive series of patients
undergoing pituitary surgery using a pure endoscopic endonasal approach and to evaluate the
efficacy and safety of this procedure.
PATIENTS AND METHODS: We reviewed 30 consecutive patients during the period from January
2014 to January 2016 with pituitary adenoma who underwent purely endoscopic transsphenoidal
resection of their lesions. The patients clinical outcomes, degrees of tumor removal, and
complications were reported.
RESULTS: There were (24 primary and 6 recurrent adenoma) (26 nonfunctioning and 4
functioning adenoma 1 prolactinoma and 3 GH secreting adenoma ) . The degree of gross total
removal for tumors was 83.3% , C.S.F leak was 6.6%. , Post operative Diabetes insipidus was 10% ,

Gender And Simulations
When people becomes who they are, there are many different factors that come into play. Freud s
work starts to notice the identities both genders take when he says, boys, he suggests, become
children while girls remain little women (Chodorow 1794:54). Chodorow wrote Family Structure
and Feminine Personality and Baudrillard wrote Simulacra and Simulations, which both talks about
how individuals from their identity. The first theorist who looks at society s influences on
individuals is Chodorow. Her theory falls under psychoanalytic theory, which most normal
sociologist do not follow. She looks at how individuals become who they are through gender. Her
work, shows how the two genders grow up and become their own selves. Gender is a major... Show

Unlike men, women stay close to their mothers during development. In Chodorow s theory, she
explains, Feminine identification is based not on fantasied or externally defined characteristics and
negative identification, but on the gradual learning of a way of being familiar in every life, and
exemplified by the person with whom she has been most involved with (Chodorow 1974: 51). The
basis of her theory shows that a girl cannot completely reject her mother since they identify to the
same gender. While her relationship grows with her father, her relationships with her mother
strengthens. There is no need to break away from anything for them since girls are expected to be
feminine. Since daughters spend time with their mothers so much, they act like their mothers later
in life. Creating this different identity can be problematic to a daughter s personality since society
does not allow the formation of a unique
Chris Hedges What Is Artifice
What is artifice? And why is it known as the most essential skill by Chris Hedges from an excerpt
from Empire of Illusion. Artifice is a clever trick to deceive others like what many politicians
used going from the past until nowadays. Because the Americans love to have good reputation,
most politicians that have the ability to do so as Chris Hedges s argues the most essential
skill...is atifice proves to be true. To begin with, Hedges states that politicians nowadays do not
need to have the abilities to make a country to be successful; however, they only need to have the
ability to build a good reputation for the people even if it is a fake one like how Hedges states,
political leaders who use the tools of mass propaganda ...no longer need to be competent, sincere,
or honest. Similar to the 2016 presidential election, Donald J. Trump won the election was not
because he was great; however, he won because he was able to use various propagrandas and mass
medias to build him in front of the American people. In addition, back in 1960 presidential election,
John F. Kennedy won the election due to the use of televisions and his outer appearance, which they
helped him to win the election. This proves Hedges s arguement to be true.... Show more content on

For example, movies and books are the two examples that uncover Hedges s argument to be true.
Like many movies and books, most well known movies and books tend to be advertised one or
two years before they are released to the public similar to the movie: Fast and Furious, or the
Hunger Games in terms of books. They are advertised publicly a few years before they are official
release to highlight their stories to which they attract the American people just like how many
political leaders nowadays do to gain supports from the
Native Son Marxism Essay
I am going to be using Marxism to interpret the book, Native Son. When talking about Marxism, it
generally deals with gender, class, and race. In the book, Native Son, there are many examples of
Marxism that have to do with underestimating and unfairness. This was evident especially when
dealing with Chicago in the 1930 s and 1940 s when Africans were treated unfairly and were
demoted.
In Native Son, Bigger, the main character, and his family are being over priced for a rundown, one
bedroom flat unsuitable to live in because of their race. Mr. Dalton, Bigger s boss, owns the company
that sold the Thomas s their flat. The Thomas family along with a lot of other Africans in Chicago at
the time, were forced to live in south side ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the book, Native Son, Bigger believes that all whites are the same: just as rude, just as mean, just
as irresponsible, and just as violent. Bigger did not just come up with these accusations out of
nowhere. White people in his childhood treated him differently and thought of him as a pest. To
Bigger, white people would always think they were above him. After years of being told you are
bad at something, sometime you start to believe it yourself, and after a while it would be hard not
to go crazy being treated like you were an animal. Africans around this time did not really think of
themselves better than what the whites were saying about them. To him, white woman are just
snobby princesses who spend all their money on clothes and things that are not needed. In his mind,
the white men are rude, overpowering, cocky, and violent. He has these stereotypes because that is
how all whites have acted near him.
When it comes to class, the Thomas family is among the lowest. They live in a one bedroom flat
with two beds they all four share. The Thomas family barely has a few dollars to their name, and
then there is the Dalton family. They have all the money then need. They proceed to give as much
as they can to charities because it makes them feel more humane taking the money of poor, low
class Africans. They donate ping pong tables to the south side, but do not even think of reducing the

The Total Rewards Program
Organization Overview
This paper will discuss the total rewards program. This company is a beverage and bottling
company that has been in business for over 100 years. Currently we operate in about 3 continents
and in about 20 different countries all over the world. SZT Corp is the home to over 20,000
employees with about 2,000 management level employees worldwide.
Armstrong (2012) affirms that definitions of total rewards characteristically includes not only
traditional, quantifiable elements such as salary, variable pay and benefits but comprises also more
intangible non cash components such as gaining knowledge, ability to acquire and act or take
responsibility, progress in career, and the conducive environment provided by the organization. SZT
Corp requires a pretty complex and flexible total rewards program to meet the needs of their multi
national colleagues. The total rewards programs has to slightly vary for each country that SZT Corp
operates in and must cover compensation, benefits, performance and recognition, learning and
development, and a work life balance. SZT Corp has to maintain a total rewards program that
remains competitive with the competitors in the different nations all over the world.
Total Rewards Strategy
In order to meet the HR needs of this company, HR must accomplish the elements discussed in the
succeeding paragraphs that address the fundamentals of this type of total rewards system while
complying with the regulatory environments.
The
Superman Hero
Thomas Dixon Jr s The Clansman: An Historical Romance of the Ku Klux Klan is a novel explores
the Klansmen s use of disguise by suggesting that it is utilized to enact vigilante justice on behalf of
the victimized white people of the south. Chris Galaver s The Ku Klux Klan and the Birth of the
Superhero is an article that argues the modern superherofigure finds its roots in Dixon s novel,
however one can argue that the modern superhero is the very opposite of Dixon s vigilante. It is
important to note that Supermaninverts the use of the mask, which Galaver argues is a key trait of
the Klan in their pursuit of vigilante justice. The debut of Superman occurs four months after the

The mask is an important tool for the vigilante but Superman does not hide his face while pursuing
justice. Superman also has ties to the Jewish community, which makes his connection to Dixon s
Klan vigilante even less likely. Superman s superpowers also make it difficult to label him as a
vigilante because they give him more credit as a crime fighting character. Finally Superman shares as
stronger connection to detective fiction than he does to Dixon s vigilante novel. All of these points
support the argument that modern superheroes such as Superman are not modeled after Dixon s

The Crucifixion Of Christ By William Shakespeare
The Crucifixion of Christ is a one of the most frequented religious themes seen during Gothic Italian
panel paintings of the 13th and 14th century. Throughout the Strauss Collection at the Museum of
Fine Arts, Houston the panel paintings often have a series of narratives alongside portraits that the
viewer is able to read through the composition of the panels. One narrative that is of high importance
is of The Crucifixion. Because it is so important, this scene is often arbitrarily placed in panels just to
emphasize the engagement of the viewer to the importance of religion and the church. The setting of
the The Crucifixion is quite the same in most if not all crucifixion paintings, with the placement of a
triangular dialogue beginning with the Virgin, Christ, Saint John, and Saint MaryMagdalene. Another
common characteristic in crucifixion scenes is the emotional representation of the figures pictured.
Although there is an established display of facial expressions in Italian Gothic art, there seems to be
more of an emotional connection in this particular type of narrative than other common religious
themes. Looking at The Crucifixion scene of the Anon. Florentine Panel its counterpart, The Nativity
scene does not pose the same emotional engagement in both the viewers and the characters displayed.
The original configuration of the Florentine panel painting is of the Circle of Andrea Orcagna and
Nardo Di Cione in the form of a triptych. The two side panels are of Crucifixion
Conveniently Married Essay examples
Conveniently Married
Life in the Victorian Era was centered on marriage. Among the nobility, marriage was typically
sought to increase status or wealth with a partner of their same social class. This also holds true for
the middle class, along with using marriage to gain political or business alliances. The working class
of the Victorian Era had more practical reasons for marrying. The marriages of the working class
centered more on finding a companion that would be able to contribute to the household. Many men
sought a strong woman whose talents would complement their particular trade, and increase the
amount of money that was made. Marriage rarely occurred for love, although the marriage of Queen
Victoria to Prince Albert was an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To marry would mean that Victoria could rid herself of her mother as palace chaperone; to marry
might also mean the possibility of disagreement with a husband. Marrying Albert accomplished the
political reasons, doing away with a chaperone, Victoria s stance that she would only marry for
love, and also allayed the fears that Victoria had of marriage.
As stated before, the working class men married to increase the wages of the household by
marrying a woman who would be a compliment to their trade. In contrast, weavers relied on their
wives and daughters labor in the task of making cloth. With the advent of the industrial revolution
and with factories becoming a main source of work, wives became more crucial to contributing to
the household. To supplement their husbands incomes, since artisans wives ran a small shop of
their own, such as a chandler s or a corner grocery. Weavers were different from most artisans in
that they actively sought the help of their wives and children. Unlike traditional artisans, however,
male weavers owed much of their sense of control and their prosperity to the family based economy,
for they could supervise, and profit from, the labor of their wives and children. The textile industry
moving to factories also caused many problems with the weavers. Ralph Mather, a contemporary,
alleged that the new machines
