Out of 22,09,318 candidates who had appeared f or the exam, 12,36,531 candidates have qualified. Mahesh Kumar f rom Rajasthan has secured AIR 1 with
99.99 percentile. Utkarsh Awadhiya f rom Madhya Pradesh has bagged AIR 2. Avika Aggarwal f rom Delhi (NCT ) is the female topper of NEET 2025 with AIR 5.
T he highest marks obtained is 686 out of 720. Along with the NEET result 2025, the NEET 2025 cutof f has also been released, which has reduced f rom last
year, as per predictions.

What happens when two or more candidates secure the same marks in the NEET UG results? Owing to a large number of test-takers, it is not rare f or two or

NEET 2023.

NT A releases the merit list of the candidates based on the NEET result. Multiple lists are released based on the category of the candidate. An overall NEET
merit list is also released, which carries details of all the candidates who cleared the examination. T he merit lists of NEET are then shared by the NT A with
the dif f erent bodies responsible f or the NEET counselling process f or national and state quota seats. Based on these lists, MCC and various counselling
authorities will prepare their merit or seat allotment lists.

Types of Merit List s

Overall merit list: T his merit list includes the names and ranks of all the candidates who appeared f or NEET . T his is the f irst merit list and is prepared by
NT A. T his merit list will be f orwarded to all counselling bodies, both national and state.

15 per cent AIQ merit list: T his merit list will contain the names of only those candidates who would qualif y f or the NEET UG result. T his merit list is
prepared by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

State quota merit list: Every state will prepare its counselling merit lists f or admissions to 85 per cent of state quota seats. T hese merit lists will include only
those candidates who will qualif y f or NEET result 2025 and register f or the counselling of that respective state.

Validit y of NEET Result 2025

T he validity of the NEET 2025 result depends on where the candidate wants to apply. Candidates who wish to pursue an MBBS f rom a f oreign University will
also have to qualif y f or NEET 2025. T he validity depends on the location of the institute one desires to apply.

NEET result validity for an institute located in India: For aspirants who wish to apply f or MBBS courses within India, the NEET UG result will be valid f or
the current academic session only.

NEET result validity for a foreign university: For aspirants who wish to apply f or MBBS courses outside India, the NEET result 2025 is expected to be
valid f or three years.
