Mason Buttle Truth
The Truth As Told By Mason Buttle is a very remarkable and perhaps somewhat relatable to many
children. This fiction, facts of life, and school/social life novel was brilliantly written by Leslie
Connor. Besides from taking place in the minuscule and simplistic town of Merrimack, the book s
setting isn t specified any further. Mason Buttle retells his story: how a learning disabled child
struggles to make friends and find himself in this crazy world. With a lamentable backstory, he
continues to persevere and be optimistic and eventually makes his second and only current friend.
Mystery continues to lurk around the vicinity, and it always leads back to Mason.

The predominant character would obviously be the narrator of this first person ... Show more content

What makes this book stand out from the rest is the cast of characters. Many people in the world
have probably experienced bullying to some extent, but it is about what the bullies don t see. One
might think that they are just playing a harmless prank on someone less physically capable than
themselves. However, actions all have consequences, some a lot worse than others. True friends see
past the others bad qualities and appreciate the good ones. Victims of harassment like this, or better
yet, the ones who commit the unjust action, would enjoy a book like this. They would enjoy it
because of its relatability to the reader, and might really make you think about the school system and
why people do these things in the first place. The Truth as Told by Mason Buttle appears nonfiction,
which is an aspect that makes it such a great
Important Components Of A Virtual Team Performance Essay
One of the most important components in any type of team is communication. Excellent
communication between the team members is important to achieve the team goals. Talking about
achieving goals of the team, it is central to have shared team goals. Also, mutual respect and trust
among the team members are main components of the teamas well. There are five identified
components of a virtual team. There differentiators commitment and engagement, shared processes
for decision making, information flow, trust, and collaboration are the most important components
of optimal virtual team performance (Derosa Lepsinger, 2010, p. 51). Not all teams perform the
same functions; however, some teams use a similar approach to reach the goals. There are many
types of teams in today s business world and those teams have similarities in a way they approach
the goals. Teams today are more diverse and more open to the news changes compare to the teams in
the past.

Wound Management
In this essay, I am going to discuss traditional and contemporary wound dressings and management
techniques. I will be comparing the traditional dressings with today s current modern dressing.
When choosing a dressing many circumstances have to be accessed as what type of wound is it?
This makes it a lot harder on which dressing should be used as there are so many different types
available today. Many that are used in the veterinary practice are in fact used by humans.

When a wound is healing it is important to know the stages of healing so you can achieve the best
possible outcome. Wound healing is the physiological process of restoring the continuity of tissues
following injury. The two main processes are regeneration and repair. ... Show more content on

Battle Of Olustee Essay
The Battle of Olustee, also known as the Battle of Ocean Pond, only lasted for a single afternoon,
but became the second bloodiest battle for the Union, when the casualties are compared to the
number of soldiers engaged, and was the largest Civil War battle fought in Florida. This short battle,
often forgotten when compared to grand battles fought during the four year war, is an superb
example of how the Union took their chances and gave it their all, even when it was clear that the
Confederates had better odds, and won the battle, in the end. On February 7, 1864, the commander of
the Union s Department of the South, General Quincy Gilmore, dispatched General Truman Seymour
to Jacksonville, Florida, in hopes of securing land, politically; blocking, or disrupting Confederate
supply... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Many individual soldier s stories also demonstrate the resilience of either side, showing how
unwilling they were to give up, and stop fighting, until absolutely necessary. Even John Hay s efforts
to get Florida to join upcoming United States political gatherings, show the unwavering pursuit for
unity from the Union s side.
The purpose of this project is to learn more about the Battle of Olustee, and how individuals, troops,
and even the whole of both the Confederacy and Union stood up against each other, to fight for what
they believed in, and prove that each person that participated in this battle found their own way to
stand up for their beliefs. While proving that this topic relates to the theme is the main purpose of the
project, another purpose is to learn more about what was happening throughout the United States
before, during, and after the time that this battle

The Various Religions in Africa and Religions African Americans Preach

My assignment is to write about the various religions that are situated in Africa and religions African
Americans preach. There are many different religions in Africa because there are various regions and
countries in Africa. Also Africa and its inhabitants have been around for many, many years. One
reason that there are so many different religions. The first and most widespread religion I am going
to talk about is Christianity. Christianity was introduced into Northern Africa in the first century. It
later spread to the regions of Ethiopia and Sudan around the fourth century. Christianity was able to
survive in Ethiopia because of the Coptic Church but in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Swedish are established in the Italian colony of Erythracea and the Norwegians have an
important mission in Betsileo. The English though, have had a long history of missions in Africa.
Some of the more important ones are: The London Missionary Society, which was established in
1795. This church was primarily felt in South Africa with Moffat and Dr. Livingstone. Also was
the Universities Mission Society, which was based in Zanzibar. The French Protestants were
successful in the Northeastern Cape Colony, and in the French Congo where the replaced the
American Presbyterians in 1892. Lets not forget America though; the Methodist Episcopal Church,
The Baptist church and the Presbyterian Church are all in Africa from America. The Methodists
began the colony of Liberia in 1820 but was only able to establish a permanent Bishopric there
until 1858. The Baptists have missions in Monrovia, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Lagos.
Presbyterians are very influential also. In Egypt almost every village on the Nile is not without one

flourished in Africa. The second most widespread religion in Africa is Islam. Islam was introduced to
Northern Africa in the seventh century. In the following centuries it

Corporate Social Responsibility components
Corporate social responsibility of the company manifests itself not only to customers but also
employees and environment. In the brand s core there are based principles of respect and
understanding for the normal functioning of all processes starting from the development and
production to marketing and sales of finished products. The LVMH values in people their interests,
needs and values (Social Responsibility, n.d.). This policy is ideally focused on developing new
ways of production and using raw materials and resources in innovations according to environment

Environmental Department. The main objectives of the Department are aimed at designing of
products by using new innovations and controlling environmental risks (Environment, n.d.). The
brand has different initiatives for all Houses. For example, there is an initiative for the Perfumes
Cosmetics Houses and Sephora which is aimed on using recycling materials which can be used in
future manufacture and packaging products. The main idea of this initiative is to reduce
environmental solution and provide an opportunity to use raw and recycling materials not only for
the development but also for selling them to a network of specialist recyclers. With absolute

Tanks In World War 2 Essay

Tanks in World War II Tanks were a major part of World War II. Many countries had their own
tanks which they used in different strategies during the war. These vehicles were invented long
before there was the technology of World War II. The Germans were known for their heavy class
tanks, while the Americans were recognized for their medium Sherman tanks. The Allied forces
would not have won World War II if it were not for their tanks. Armoured vehicles were first
introduced early on in time. The use of vehicles for fighting dates to the 2nd millennium bce, when
the horse drawn war chariots were used in the Middle East by the Egyptians, Hittites, and others as

The Falaise pocket battle ended all of the fighting in Normandy. In that battle the Germans
experienced a defeat that could not be recovered. If the Germans would have won this battle, they
could have had control over the are and may be of had a chance in the war. The only instrument of
armoured warfare which German commanders regarded as qualitatively different from the rest was
the Mark VI Tiger, which was not allotted to divisions but organized in independent battalions, kept
under central control and committed to crucial offensive and counter offensive missions (Keegan
402). This win for the Allied forces was one of the main reasons they won the war.The United States
used tanks very effectively throughout the war. In 1943 4 the USA produced 47,000 tanks, almost
all Shermans, while Germany produced 29,600 tanks and assault guns. Britain, in 1944, produced
only 5000 tanks. (Keegan 399). Their rule was that five shermans were needed to knock out one
German Panther. By producing this many tanks they were able to send in loads of them into the
battlefield and have the advantage over their enemies. This rule the army had was understandable,
since the United States produced 47,000 tanks throughout the
Implanting RFID in Employees
Human capital is a corporation s most valuable asset, and effective management of its resources is
a primary concern of any business. Employers spend a considerable amount of time trying to
decrease wasted time by their chief resource while effectively increasing productivity. Recently,
management challenged us to suggest ways to use modern technology to covertly evaluate and
quantifiably measure worker productivity. Because of the recent revelations of governmental
overreach in spying on Americans disclosed by NSA contractor, Edward Snowden, the dichotomy
between spying and privacy is front and center in the public s consciousness. Surveillance
programs do not solely exist in national security; surveillance techniques have been coopted by
business to monitor and track employees. As George Orwell observed in 1984, the consequences of
every act are included in the act itself (1949, p. 36).
In 2007, a survey by the American Management Association and ePolicy Institute that 77% of
employers engage in some form of electronic monitoring of employees (American Management
Association, 2008). The reason for monitoring primarily consist of tracking employee productivity,
legal compliance, and to help assist in performance reviews. Understanding how the fourth
amendment guarantees individual privacy underscores the need for caution in advocating Radio
Frequency Identification (RFID) technology in tracking onsite and offsite employees.

Pullum Language
First day of school can be terrifying as a child, but imagine starting and going through school not
knowing half the things you are supposed to have learned by now and being ridiculed for it.
Unfortunately, this is the case for many students across our nation. Many children have difficulty
learning Standard English because they have grown up using a different dialect or another
language. Such is the case with African American English (AAE) in Oakland. There are two point
of views that are perfectly depicted by a University of California, Santa Cruz linguistics professor,
Geoffrey K. Pullum, and a fellow at the Bunting Institute at Harward/Radcliffe and author of The
Good Negress, A.J. Verdelle, towards the use of black vernacular. While Pullum... Show more

Since we are teaching children the standard form of English, it is necessary that all primary
teaching is in that form, however, society needs to understand that every child comes from a
different background; a child may have grown up using a different form of English or even an
entirely different language. Coming from an individual that grew up speaking a different language at
home, it is difficult for students like us to make certain connections that children who grew up
speaking the standard can make easily. We have a tougher time with seemingly simple concepts
because our dialects/languages do not adhere to the same rules that the standard does. Although we
have one unifying goal of educating the young in Standard English, all teaching should be based on
the child s background and try to use that to help them learn better and faster. As Pullum described,
there is a lot of misconception involving using AAE to implement student s learning. The point is not
to make dialects like AAE a language course in schools or have classes be taught in those dialects,
but rather to be used in conjunction with the Standard to efficiently ease children into the desired
outcome. Judge Joiner offered a solution to the problem by requiring teachers to dedicate a certain
amount of hours to understanding these children s point of views. Verdelle, on the other hand, seems
