under Diploma in Nautical Science leading to B.Sc. Degree Program of DGS – IMU. It is further certified
that program has been approved as a Structured Shipboard Training Program (SSTP) as envisaged in
STCW Convention as amended, by the Directorate General of Shipping, Government of India, and the
Cadet has completed the program during his sea service of 18 Months 28 Days.
This is to certify that all tasks, activity work, project work has been completed except for the following
tasks related to the ship type where he/she did not have the opportunity to sail on.
(1) SEM 3: Bulk Carrier
(2) SEM 4: Gas Carrier (LNG),
(3) SEM 5: Oil Tanker.
The above-mentioned tasks and projects are exempted due to non-availability of equipment on vessels
cadet sailed /circumstances beyond his/her control.

This SSTP completion certificate meets the requirement of IMU Notification of 2015, read in conjunction
with M.S. Notice No. 21 of 2009.
