Right Ear Gain Analysis
In this part of the paper the statement of the problem was answered with an exact account based on
the results of the data. The data for initial measurement of the ear thickness behind the right ear
where the carrageenan was introduced was based on Table 1. Treatment 3 had a mean of .056 mm,
followed by Treatment 2 with a mean of .05 mm and the least in T1 .04 mm. Analysis of variance
(table 1 b) showed not significant difference among the treatments. This implies that the
measurement of ear thickness is almost equal before the introduction of sunflower seed and before
carrageenan behind the right ear, to avoid bias in the result. The ear thickness was measured 1 hour
up to 4 hours until the next day (16 hours) after introducing the carrageenan behind the right ear, to
measure the accumulated edema. In table 2 it was shown that there was no change after 4 hours in
the measurement of ear thickness, however sixteen hours after (next day) the change in the
measurement of ear thickness behind the right ear where the carrageenan was
introduced, accumulated edema was shown. Visually it was easy to determine the carrageenan
induced edema, the ear looked much thicker compared to the normal ear thickness (before
introducing edema). A mean of .042 in T1 (control group) was obtained from the 1st hour until the...

This result implied that 500 mg and 100 mg of sunflower seed has no inflammatory effect on
carageenan induced Edema. In table 3 a shows the ear thickness in Day 10 of the experimental
animals. The observation and measurement of ear thickness after introducing carrageenan behind
the right ear lasted for 10 day. The tenth day was the final measurement of ear thickness and was
used to compare with the initial measurement of ear thickness before introducing edema. Treatment
1 had a mean ear thickness of .054 mm, followed by T3 with a mean of .068 and the least is in T2

Why Is Ancient Egypt Important
Ancient Egypt
Ancient Egypt is a wonderful, mysterious land. Thankfully for us today, the ancient Egyptians kept
extensive records that allow us to understand most of the mysteries that Egypt has in store.
Throughout time we have been able to understand and learn more about many subjects in the ancient
Egyptian era such as the geography and why it was important to the ancient civilization, the pyramids
and technology, the culture and art of the civilization, and some of the Great Pharaoh s that shaped
the mysterious land. The geography of Egypt plays an important role in the shaping of the ancient
civilization. Ancient Egypt s geography kept it isolated from far away cultures it s surrounded by
deserts to the east and west, the Mediterranean
Is Hamlet A Coward Analysis
What is a coward? A coward is a person who lacks the courage to do or endure dangerous or
unpleasant things. In William Shakespeare s play Hamlet a grief stricken prince of Denmark
comes home to his father s funeral and he seeks revenge against the murderer. Hamlet is a story of
love, loss, and overall revenge.
Hamlet is also a coward because of his inability to act against those who betrayed him, but had
other people carry out their demise. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern used to be friends of Hamlet
until they betrayed him for the King and Queen and for money. They spied on Hamlet for the
King and Queen and for money. Later we discover that Rosencrantz and Guildenstern were
carrying letters and Hamlet states in the final words of the letters That, on the supervise, no leisure
bated,/No, not to stay the grinding of the axe,/My head should be strook off. (V. ii. 22 24). With
this statement Hamlet explains that Rosencrantz and Guildenstern were escorting him to his death
at the hands of the English. Instead of dealing with the traitors himself he rewrites the letters to the
English state Without debatement further, more or less,/ He should those bearers put to sudden
death,/Not shriving time allow d. (V. ii. 45 48). He had the English kill him so he did not have to
endure a painful experience. That is nearly the exact definition of a coward. He did not have the
courage to do what needed to be done. We eventually find out that the British were capable of getting

Reflection Paper On The Teaching Of Santa
Things aren t always black and white and the decisions we make as parents are often a result of
our own heartaches and pains. Which is why to answer the question as to why we did, what we did,
concerning the teaching of Santa comes in the form of a story for me.
For me, as a parent, my goal was for my children to know the truth and to live a life of truth. I
wanted my kids to love Jesus more than life itself. I wanted them to know and experience the life
in Christ I had come to know as teenager in a miserable spot. I knew the King of Kings and Lord of
Lord and wanted that to be the center of our home. I knew if they knew the truth, the truth would set
them free.
When I was little I had a brother and a sister and real parents. My real parents taught me about Santa
Claus. The night before Christmas we put out a glass of milk and a plate of cookies. Christmas
morning the milk was partially gone and all the cookies were gone except a little moon shaped
sliver, proof that Santa had come and that he was real and of course, then there were presents
wrapped under the Christmas tree.
There was so much excitement that one Christmas Eve at bedtime I couldn t settle down. I could see
down the hall right into our living room. Switching places with my little brother, who slept at the
opposite end of the bunk bed, was the remedy for my restlessness and I quickly fell asleep. The
next morning he told me he saw Santa Claus.. I asked what he looked like and how he got in. He
Frida Kahlo And The Mexican Community
Frida Kahlo once said At the end of the day, we can endure much more than we think we can. There
is no better person to say this than Kahlo, whose life was filled with pain and sadness. She was one
of the most influential artists of her time, especially in the Mexican community.. The most important
aspects of her life were her multicultural background, her tragic accident she survived as a teen, her
relationship with Diego Rivera, her death, and her face as a product.
Frida Kahlo was born Magdalena Carmen Frida Kahlo y Calderón, July 6th, 1907, in Coyoacan,
Mexico. Her mother, Matilde Calderon y Gonzalez, was of indigenous and Spanish descent. Her
father, Wilhelm Kahlo, was German. The combinations of the two heritages gave Frida a rich
cultural background, which was a key part of her artwork. Kahlo developed polio at the young
age of 6, which left one of her legs thinner and weaker than the other one. It is also speculated that
she may have had spina bifida, which would also hinder the growth of her leg. Although she
suffered from these afflictions, her father encouraged her to be active and participate in sports,
such as swimming, wrestling and boxing. It would be September 17, 1925, that Kahlo s life
would be changed forever. It was a normal day, and Kahlo had been out shopping with her
boyfriend, Alex Gomez Arias. They decided to board a bus that would take them back home to
Coyoacan. A streetcar collided with the bus that the couple were on, and Kahlo was
Living Room Monologue
Pausing in the living room, he noticed a paper lying on a table, picking it up Joshua read it, Joshua,
my mother called and needed me. Your mother was sleeping soundly when I left around 5:00. I will
see you tonight. Thanks. Jane.
Crumpling up the paper, he threw it in the wastebasket, and asked, Why didn t she call me? I would
have come earlier, he said, referring to Jane, whom he paid to stay with his mother at night. Sniffing
the air and noticed immediately noticed the lack of the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, which always
filled his mother s house early in the morning. Why would she over sleep knowing he took off
from work, he said, The least Mom could have done was have coffee ready. Guess I should have
called before I left home, the next time, I will.
Returning to the living room, he questioned why older people needed so much sleep, ... Show more

Are you okay? The operator asked.
Thank you, I am fine. Just get someone out here fast.
Placing the phone back on the nightstand, Joshua went to his mother s bedside. Speaking gently
from the heart, he wept and asked, Mom, what happened? The doctor said your hip was healing
fine. Why are you gone? I love you so much, Mom. Bending down, he kissed her on the forehead
and wept. Help is here, Joshua said, looking out the window, and saw the emergency vehicles
parking in the driveway, he hurried down the stairs to meet them.
Opening the front door as the paramedics rushed up the walkway, Joshua showed them to his
mother s bedroom and returned to the living room. Within minutes, one of the paramedics came
down the stairway and said, Sorry, she s been dead for hours. I ll make the calls.
Shortly afterwards, the police officers arrived, entering the house they walked from room to room
without saying a word while waiting for the coroner to arrive.
Finally, one of the paramedics said, We need to talk about your mother s health, so I can finish my
Security Policy Framework For Creating A Security Program
All organizations should have an effective IT security policy framework to creating a security
program to meet the needs of the organization to protect information and their information systems.
There are many security frameworks that can be used to design an IT security program such as
NIST and COBIT being a few. It is very important to establishing compliance of IT securitycontrols
with U.S. laws and regulation. The organization can align the policies and controls with the
regulations. There are seven domain in the framework and each have their own challenges. There are
issues and challenges with implementing a security policy framework and ways to overcome these
problems. The IT policy framework is made of policies, standards, baselines, procedures and
guidelines to help protect information systems of the organization. There are several frameworks
that can be used and three of them stand out as more widely used are Control Objectives for
Information and related Technology (COBIT), ISO/EIC 27000 series and National Institute of
Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publications. If an organization does business with
internationally, they may want to look into the ISO/EIC 27000 framework. According to Johnson
(2011), there are 12 areas of the ISO/EIC 27000 which are risk assessments and treatment, security
policy, organization of information security, asset management, human resources security, physical
and environmental security, communication and operations
The Effects Of Urbanisation In Hard Times By Charles Dickens
The social consequences of industrialisation and urbanisation are perhaps most persuasively
depicted in Hard Times (1854), which Dickens wrote at the prompting of urgent external
circumstances. Hard Times is more than any other of his Condition of England novels influenced
by Carlyle s social criticism. It deals with a number of social issues: industrial relations, education
for the poor, class division and the right of common people to amusement. It also draws on
contemporary concern with reforming divorce laws. Cazamian sees Dickens in Hard Times as an
intermediary link between the social thought of Carlyle and Ruskin. (173) Raymond Williams
described Hard Times as a thorough going and creative examination of the dominant philosophy of...

The principles of the dismal science led to the formation of a selfish and atomistic society. The
social commentary of Hard Times is quite clear. Dickens is concerned with the conditions of the
urban labourers and the excesses of laissez faire capitalism. He exposes the exploitation of the
working class by unfeeling industrialists and the damaging consequences of propagating factual
knowledge (statistics) at the expense of feeling and imagination. However, although Dickens is
critical about Utilitarianism, he cannot find a better way of safeguarding social justice than through
ethical means. In place of Utilitarianism, Dickens can offer only good heartedness, individual
charity, and Sleary s horse riding; like other writers on the Condition of England Question, he was
better equipped to examine the symptoms of the disease than to suggest a possible cure (Wheeler,
Informal Fallacies Of An Informal Fallacy
Our lives revolve around money. The value of a dollar does not buy much anymore; everything
comes with a price tag. The media likes to entice people with catchy slogans, celebrities or any other
setup just so they can obtain our money. Once they grasp our attention we realize most of these
attention grabbers had no relation to their argumentor what they are trying to sell. Thus the correct
term for the types of misleading ads and television commercials is called informal fallacies. The
purpose of an informal fallacycan be to enact reactions from the audience, used to discredit a
person or lastly appeal to a certain outlook. They mainly lack the validity in order to prove their
argument. The media provides us with many scenarios using different forms of informal fallacies. I
will provide three notable examples of informal fallacies by explaining the type of fallacy and why
the media used this fallacy.
To start off, I should first differentiate between a formal and informal fallacy. A formal argument is
when the argument lacks the correct structural form. The form of the fallacy will then be able to
tell us if the fallacy is valid or invalid. The difference is in the way the argument is written, informal
fallacies lack context in order to make the argument. For example, I came across a nationwide
commercial that took a different approach in order to sell to the public. Rather than sell to their
audience some reasons why they should chose to consult with the company they
The Power Of Wu Zetia
Anything men can do, women can do better. No one in Chinese history could have represented this
infamous quote better than Empress Wu. Wu Zetian became a significant figure in world history for
many reasons, good and bad. Foremost, she is known to be the first and only female emperor in
Chinese history, maintaining her rule over the country for nearly half a century. During that time
period, women were not usually permitted to become emperor, let alone have any position in
politics, yet Wu Zetianstill managed to obtain the roll. Empress Wu, as not only a ruler but a leader,
was extraordinary. She improved the lives of her people by providing Chinawith a powerful and
stable centralized government and advancing the political system with the addition of skillful
bureaucrats. The power she was able to hold and the authority she exemplified changed Chinese
history and is set as an inspiration for other aspiring women.
In this paper, the secondary sources chosen introduce the female ruler of China, Wu Zetian. These
sources include 2 books and 3 scholarly articles on this significant historical figure. The first source
is an article from the Journal of Asian Culture, called Echo and Shadow: Images of Women in
Traditional China, written by Eugene Eoyang. It presents important women in Chinese history,
dating back to circa 90 A.D. The article argues that behind the common facts about Chinese women
being inferior to men, they have accomplished much more than it seems. One of the
Ender s Game
Ender s Game is about a boy who, along with other children, goes to Battle School in space as
preparation for going to war with an alien race, known as the Buggers, that has threatened
mankind. It is set in the future. Ender s Game and its sequel Speaker for the Dead, written by
Orson Scott Card, were both awarded the Hugo Award and the Nebula Award. The series
continues with Xenocide, Children of the Mind, Ender s Shadow, Shadow of the Hegemon,
Shadow Puppets, First Meetings in the Enderverse , Shadow of the Giant, Shadows in Flight, A
War of Gifts, and Ender in Exile. Ender in Exile takes place after Ender s Game and before Speaker
for the Dead. Card also plans to write Shadows Alive, which connects the Shadow series and
Speaker series.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The major theme of the book is the concept of games. The context of the games helps interpret the
other important ideas of the novel. The more the story unfolds, the harder it becomes to separate
the games from reality. Ender s final game had a profound impact on his life, and it was, in fact,
reality itself and not just a game as he had originally thought. Another theme is the relationship
between children and adults. The children s lives are constantly contrasted with the lives of the
adults. The children are capable of killing, manipulating, and hating, which are the worst features
of adults, but they are also capable of creating and helping. Friends and enemies are another theme
of the novel. Whether or not someone is a friend or enemy is never entirely clear. In the end, the
ones who Ender thought were enemies, turned out to be friendly. Card proves that there are no
clear distinctions between friends and enemies. The point of view in Ender s Game is that of the
characters. It is not, however, limited to one character. Most of the novel is told in Ender s
perspective, but there are parts, even whole chapters, where the point of view is switched to that
of Valentine s, one of the adult s, or even Peter s. There are parts of the story where the
commanders are talking about Ender and his progress . While in Valentine s point of view, the
reader learns about what is happening on earth while Ender is in space. The point of view basically
fills in all the holes for the
