Glacier National Park Essay Outline
Glacier National Park was established on May 11, 1910 by congress to protect over 1 million
acers of land. The purpose behind this was to set up a wildlife refuge that could house and protect
species of animals and plants from becoming extinct with the movement of settlers out west.
Boasting over 700 lakes, 500 streams, 1900 various forms of plant life and 71 species of mammals,
this is a hiker s dream come true.
Glacier National Park is where everything bright and strong and never tamed comes together on
high: wolves, white tailed ptarmigan, storms that hit the Great Divide like tsunamis with golden
eagles surfing the wind waves, twisted trees 200 years old but scarcely tall enough to hide a bighorn
sheep, impatient wildflowers shoving through ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These shy, territorial animals stick to their own boundaries of 10 to 20 square miles, high in the
mountains. The size of a large dog, they have a grey coat with a lighter underbelly and hunt mainly
hoofed animals for meat.

Once almost extinct, they have successfully been reintroduced to Glacier National Park. You may
hear their late night howls when camping near Bowman Lake.
Of all animals in Glacier National Park, wolves are the ones you will most likely hear at night but
rarely see during the day. And let me tell you, wolf howls are terrifying! ( Glacier National Park
Montana, Plants and Animals , 2017).
Along with these beautiful animals the park also consist of many forms of trees and other
vegetation. Beargrass and bunchberry are two flowers that are abundant all over the mountain sides
and plains of the park. Just as the park s name is misleading, so is the name of beargrass. Bears have
no use for it, nor is it a grass. It s one of Glacier National Park s most recognizable flowers and can
grow at a wide range of elevations. No matter what trail you hike, beargrass is sure to rise above the
real grass and dot the landscape. They are four to five feet in height and are topped off with cream
colored bulbs that look like an upside down
Key Leadership Role And Ethical Decision Making Skills
Terms of reference:
I have been asked to prepare a report which analyses the key leadership role and ethical decision
making skills by using the concepts and theories as a part of knowledge and skills development. I
have also been asked to recommend alternatives, innovative and ethical suggestions for effective
implementation of strategies that would be more suitable to meet the current and up coming
requirements.

Introduction:
Leadership is a strategy by which executives lead, assist, and influence the work and behaviour of
the others to attain the specified goals.
It is more than a name; an authority and a millstone of responsibility. In fact it s a charismatic
approach to bring out the best from one, being focused on raising one s perception to the sky high,
elevating the performance to the prime standard and the formation of attributes beyond its limitation.
It demands the compassionate, courageous, courteous and authentic personnel because there s
nothing as harmful as a leader with lost purpose for an organization. And the purpose should be to
encourage, contribute, hold, build and inspire greatness. It s not a matter of all you can be, but
helping others to emerge as all they can be.
Richard Branson:
Fact file:
A knight of British territory, Sir Richard Branson founder of virgin groups, is one of the 100 top
most affluent business magnate. An extremist serial entrepreneur with more than 400 companies,
with a very interesting and exciting leadership style, seemingly
A Critique Of The Social Contract
A Critique of the Social Contract According To John Locke
Introduction
John Locke embedded his political ideas in the form of two treatises popularly known as Two
Treatises on Civil Government that he authored in 1690. In the first treatise, Locke disagrees with
the political and social philosophy of Robert Filmer in his work known as Patriacha, authored in
1654. The second treatise contains Locke s viewpoint on political philosophy where he expounds the
origin, authority and the significance of a civil government. In addition, the treatise contains his
view on the state of nature, the social contract, political groupings, types of government and a citizen
s right to own private property.
The Social Contract Theory
Unlike his predecessor, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In other words, human beings can be depended upon based on the fact that they are rational. Unlike
Hobbes, Locke believed that human beings are unselfish and social. It is only in exceptional cases
that some human beings are selfish, overly competitive and aggressive otherwise; most human
beings are able to rule themselves through the law of nature or through rational thinking. Human
beings are born free and are equal. The presence of reason in human beings ensures that they remain
rational in their dealings. This factor enables human beings to discover the right behavior as seen in
their control of emotions, anger, and expression of love among others. Instinctively, man desires to
live in peace and harmony with fellow men.
In regard to the state of nature, Locke contrasts Hobbes by asserting that there was law, order,
peace and private property. Political legitimacy and power is derived from the state of nature since
according to Locke, man has always lived in perfect equality and freedom where human beings
order their actions and use their property within the confines of the law of nature. However, the
state of nature does not imply misuse of liberty but using such liberty for the good of self
Statement Of Purpose For A Robot
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Motion Engaged , as it displayed, the robot turned around and moved towards the fourteen year old,
whose fathomless curiosity waited for answers to a thousand questions regarding the mysterious
object. Just one thought kept coming back to me which one of them was a miracle, the components
that made the robot alive, or the man who knew exactly what to do with them. Both, I finally
concluded. If god has blessed us with semiconductors, it is man, who in his conquest for progress
has discovered in these materials the means of putting his dreams to shape.
My interest in VLSI is deep rooted. Even before I began studying it as a Science I remember reading
about the gadgets in magazines. From the invention of the first silicon transistor to the microchip
invented by Texas Instruments, from the first vacuum tubes and integrated circuits, to the Intel
microprocessor and the present day C.P.U. every event has been a milestone which I have not only
read about but also savoured for how it has ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was the time to water the seeds of VLSI that were sown earlier. In 2010, I completed my
schooling from Ahlcon International School, Delhi. This marked the culmination of a 12 year
period of brilliant schooling and I must admit that much of what I have gone on to do and achieve
is the result of those years. In August 2011, I enrolled for a 4 year Bachelor s Program at Jaypee
Institute of Information Technology, Noida and opted for Electronics and Communication as my
Major. I have spent the past few years in an atmosphere of proactive and vibrant academics.
Amidst students drawn from every corner of India and a faculty of highly qualified and widely
travelled mentors, I have flowered. I remember my teacher, Professor Satyendra Kumar, walk into
the first class of Basic Electronic Devices and Circuits and write on the board The Next Big Thing

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn s One Day
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn s One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich explores the man s struggle to
survive in the trying circumstances of a Soviet Gulag. Though the novel leads the reader through
the horrific conditions in one of the work camps, it does not focus on the lack of hope that the men
feel but it focuses on the perseverance and resilience of the prisoners. Shukhov s character shines
through as a prominent example of the courage of the souls in the work camps. Further, Alyoshka
proves to never give up in the face of extreme conditions and is always around to help his gang.
Finally, Tyurin s undying devotion to leadership provides a refreshing look into the resilience of the
prisoners. Solzhenitsyn expertly constructs intricate layers... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Furthermore, the author reveals through Shukhov s actions the determination that mankind
experienced in the gulags. Shukhov takes a job, which could normally be considered a gruelling
task, and turns it into an act of fortitude. As the sole thing he sees is the wall in front of him (97)
and he shouts to not give up yet, boys! (109), he strongly exemplifies the perseverance of the
prisoners. The task that he is given should dishearten him but instead, boosts his morale and thus, his
determination. The character of Shukhov is crafted as a glaring example of the resilience men have
in a gulag, and this is additionally explored through the characterization of Alyoshka.
Solzhenitsyn creates the compelling character of Alyoshka who stays true to himself and to others
in the face of adversity. Staying faithful to his religion gives him the strength he requires in order
to focus on the positive outcomes of the gulags. Contrary to popular opinion, the author uses
Alyoshka s dialogue to exhibit the positivity as he says to [b]e glad [they are] in prison so that
they have time to think about [their] soul[s] (177). He regards his imprisonment as a time to reflect
upon his spirit and the kind of person he is which is a true accomplishment of the human spirit in
the calamity of a gulag. Further, the author uses his actions to display his steadfast nature that causes
him to be of tremendous help to his gang. His want to be helpful is glaringly
Interdependence Between Drama And Drama
On the other hand, dramatic speech cannot be regarded only as an extension of everyday speech into
drama. Indeed, there is interdependence between dramatic speech and everyday speech, yet there is
no identity and although there are many common elements, there are also important differences.
These differences can be seen in the fact that drama, theatre and other performance genres like film,
carnival, ceremonial ritual are embedded in social culture but as part of what has been termed
expressive culture.
Drama has its own history and its own contemporary constraints for aesthetic, experimental or social
purposes. Dramatic performances are among those which have been called authoritative and
authentic performances in a very specific sense, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although there are plays which are mainly written for a reading audience, dramatic texts are
generally meant to be presented in front of an audience, in a theatre. Therefore, dramatic texts are
different by compared to poetic or narrative texts. There is the primary text (the main body of the
play spoken by the characters), and secondary texts (all the texts accompanying the main text:
title, dramatis personae, scene descriptions, stage directions for acting and speaking). Depending
on whether one reads a play or watches it on stage, one has different kinds of access to dramatic
texts. The reader receives written information on what the characters look like, how they act and
react in certain situations, how they speak or the setting of the background to a scene. However,
another reader also has to make an effort to imagine all these characteristics and interpret them for
oneself. On the other hand, stage performances reveal these details from a completely different
perspective. In other words: at the theatre the audience is presented with a version of the play which
has already been interpreted by the director, actors, costume designers, make up artists and all the
other members of theatre staff, who bring the play to life. The difference, then, lies in different forms
of perception. While the audience can actually see
Les Misérables, by Victor Hugo
Fate is defined to be the development of events beyond a person s control, regarded as determined
by a supernatural power, (Google definition) In that case, I strongly believe that free will does
bring about a person s fate or future. One is highly capable of achieving virtually anything
regardless of the background in which they were brought up in. The characters in the novel Les
Misérables, by Victor Hugo illustrate their free will through their actions. They are essentially given
the chance to develop their own forthcoming. One particular character that falls into this category is
Jean Valjean. Jean Valjean was born into poverty and had to make enough money to feed himself
and his sister, along with her seven children. One winter was particularly rough and he had to
make a decision to steal a loaf of bread from Maubert Isabeau, the baker on the church square in
Faverolles, to feed his starving family. Due to his actions, Jean Valjean was found guilty and
condemned to five years in the galleys. (Book 1, VI, Pg. 72) During his time in jail he educated
himself in essential life abilities such as writing and reading, which ended up being and advantage
in the future. After Jean Valjean was released from jail he stayed the night at Monsieur Myriel s
house, he woke up bright and early in the morning and made the decision to take his set of silver.
Three gendarmes had thought Jean Valjean was suspicious and brought him back to Monsieur. He

George Pullman And Economic Depression
Economic depression took a big toll on America, causing events like the Panic of 1893 which
created the collapse of railroad overbuilding, which further led to the collapse of many banks. This
depression affected George Pullman s company, causing him to take actions, making more of an
impact than he ever thought. George Pullmanwas an American engineer and industrialist who
founded his company. He created a community and environment that his workers lived and worked
in. His company played a big role in the labor movement because they were a prime source for
transportation. Overtime, companies grew and continued to grow by opening mines, overflowing
the market with minerals such as silver. Faster construction meant building more railroads so more
goods could be shipped. Building more railroads meant having more transportation and soon
enough, the production rate was significantly lower than the sell rate since companies had more
deliveries from the railroads. When economic depression hit, Pullman had to make some changes
that would benefit the company but not the people of the community. Economic depression sparked
conflicts that resulted in the Pullman Strike. George Pullman failed to create a compromise that
would solve the worker s unfair wages, poor working conditions, and the lack of voice they had,
and this resulted in a halt on the labor movement. Because of economic depression, George Pullman
was forced to make changes in order to keep his company thriving. He then
