When writing cover letter:

 Make sure it entices the reader


 Keep in one page
 Sender’s address
 No dear sir/madam
 Center and underline the title RE: JOB APPLICATION FOR….
 Greeting paragraph
 Show how your competencies would benefit the company
 Add any extras at the end, like interests, no excess documents
 Yours sincerely and skip four lines to sign, then four more and write full names, maybe
Omang number and cell number

When writing a CV:


 Put contact info in the header…in three lines, name, Miss/Mr. Po box, number, email
address……next are subheadings.
 Personal statement-Aim... My personal desires in business terms
 Competencies/skills in phrases or bullet keywords
 Start with most recent educational qualifications and work experience
 Interests/achievements
 Referees ……in life must have a character, professional and educational referee
 More than one page so number it
