This privacy notice informs you about the processing of personal data in connection with your participation in a

International University. If personal data of your child is processed, the information in this privacy notice refers to
data processed about your child. You provide this consent as the legal guardian. Your participation in the study is
voluntary. The same applies to the participation of your child.

3. Purpose and Legal Basis of the Processing

Within the scope of the above-mentioned course, conducting and evaluating the study is one of the requirements
for successfully completing the course. Your participation in the study is voluntary and based on your consent
under Art. 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), which you can provide at the end of this
document.

If you submit a video of yourself, it may also capture biometric data, namely moving audiovisual images that
record the features of your face and voice, showcasing your behavior. These video recordings may provide
indications of your ethnic origin, religion, or health (e.g., through images showing your skin color, head coverings,
glasses), and audio recordings may also provide hints about your origin (e.g., through dialects, speech
impairments, accents, educational level). A video recording may also contain biometric data that enables your
clear identification (e.g., through your facial structure).

If you provide information about your health condition or information that allows conclusions to be drawn about
your health, this legally qualifies as health data, known as special categories of personal data. If video recordings
are made, it may capture biometric data, namely moving audiovisual images that record the features of your face
and voice, showcasing your behavior. These video recordings

4. Recipient
The student who requested your consent to participate in this study will have access to the recordings. Based on
the aforementioned audio or video recordings, the student will create a pseudonymized transcript of the
communication (a documentation of what was said), which will serve as the basis for their further analyses.
Additionally, it is possible that the relevant teaching staff of the course may have access to the recordings that
depict you. Furthermore, it is possible that the study is conducted using a technical solution. In exceptional cases,
employees of these service providers may have access to your personal data to fulfill their tasks (e.g., service,
maintenance of the technical solution).

5. Transmission
Your personal data will generally be processed by the student within the country where the student resides or has
their habitual residence. If the student uses a technical solution to conduct and evaluate their study, and if the
evaluation contains personal data, exceptional situations may arise where, for example, technical support from a
service provider is required, and employees of such service providers may have access to the personal data
contained therein. Therefore, it cannot be excluded that your personal data may also be transferred to so-called
third countries outside the EU. In this case, the transfer is covered by your consent. We would like to point out
that some countries outside the EU may have a lower level of data protection than in the EU. Information about
the technical solution chosen by the student, if applicable, and the basis for processing in third countries, if
applicable, will be provided by the student.

6. Duration of Storage
The evaluation of the study will be stored for the duration of the course and will be deleted afterwards. If you
revoke your consent, your personal data will be promptly deleted upon receipt of your revocation.

7. Automated Decision Making and Profiling

Personal data will not be used for automated decision-making. Similarly, no profiles will be created from your
personal data.

8. Why Is Your Personal Data Collected?

The study enables the student who contacted you to analyze a conversation, reflect on their approach, and
identify opportunities for improvement in future conversations. This is a core competency for potential
professions such as psychologist, coach, or counselor. Conducting the study and subsequently analyzing the
conversation together constitute the academic performance of the student.

9. Your Rights
You can contact the student either in writing or by email at [email address of the student]:
____________________________________________ to exercise the following rights:

• Right to access personal data to control and verify it

• Right to receive a copy of personal data
• Right to rectify, delete, or restrict processing, including the right to supplement incomplete or
inaccurate data by means of a supplementary statement

readable format and to transmit this data to another controller if you have given your consent to the

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority regarding the processing of personal
