How to write a Speech?

Greeting and Introduction: Start by warmly greeting your audience. For

example, "Good morning respected teachers, dear friends, and fellow
students." Then, introduce the topic of your speech in a way that captures
interest. For instance, "Today, I’m excited to talk about..."

Opening Statement: Begin with something that grabs attention, like a

surprising fact, a thought-provoking quote, or a rhetorical question. For
example, "Did you know that over 800 million people go to bed hungry every
night?"

Body: Break the main part of your speech into 2-3 clear points. Explain each
point thoroughly and back it up with examples, statistics, or stories. Use
smooth transitions to connect your ideas, like "Firstly,... Secondly,... Finally,..."
The word limit is 300.

Conclusion: Wrap up by summarizing the key points you’ve made. Finish

with a strong closing statement or a call to action, such as "Let’s all work
together to make a difference."
As the Head of Environmental Initiatives at school, you have to deliver a
speech on the occasion of World Environment Day on June 5'. Write a speech
following the guidelines given below:

Greeting or salutation and purpose - the importance of World Environment

Day - key issues such as climate change, and pollution - the role of students
in fostering a sense of environmental responsibility - concrete steps required
towards a more sustainable and an eco-friendly lifestyle - strong call for
action.

Good morning respected teachers, dear friends, and fellow students,

Today, we gather to celebrate World Environment Day, a crucial moment

dedicated to raising awareness about our planet's health and the urgent need
for environmental protection. This year, our focus is on addressing two critical
issues: climate change and pollution.

Climate change is leading to extreme weather conditions, melting ice caps,

and rising sea levels. Meanwhile, pollution is tainting our air, water, and land,
which affects not only wildlife but also our own health and well-being. These
challenges are immediate and pressing, demanding our collective action.

As students, you have a pivotal role in nurturing environmental responsibility.

Even small actions, such as reducing waste, conserving water, and recycling,
can make a significant impact. By making conscious choices in your daily
lives, you contribute to a healthier planet and set an example for others to
follow.

To move towards a more sustainable and eco-friendly lifestyle, we must

embrace habits that reduce our environmental footprint. For example, opting
for reusable items instead of single-use plastics, conserving energy by turning
off lights and electronic devices when not in use, and supporting or
participating in local green initiatives like clean-up drives and tree planting
events can make a substantial difference.

Let’s commit to these changes and take proactive steps in our daily lives.
Remember, every small effort counts, and together, we can drive meaningful
change. Let’s rise to the challenge and be the change-makers for our
environment. Together, we can create a more sustainable future for ourselves
and for generations to come.
