The numbers of public transport passengers by buses increased by 234% for the year 2022
Statistics showed that the number of passengers using public bus transportation within and between cities in 2022 reached more than 43.5
million, which constitutes an increase of 233.9 % compared to 2021. The number of bus users within cities reached approximately 39.1
million passengers in 2022, compared to 9.9 million passengers in 2021.While, the number of bus passengers between cities reached
around 4.4 million passengers in 2022, compared to 3.2 million in 2021.Figure (1)

The data showed a decrease in serious traffic accidents for the year
