and speed of the body becomes 2 m/s. in opposite direction. Calculate the force acting on the body.

8. The air from a hole in a balloon escape with uniform rate of 4 m/s. If the balloon contains 10 gram of air and
if it shrinks completely in 2.5 s; then calculate the mean force acting on the balloon. Ans. 0.016 N.
9. Two blocks M and N of mass 8 kg and 4 kg are arranged as shown in the figure, and they are kept on a
smooth horizontal surface. A horizontal force of 6 newton is applied on the first block due to which they
move with constant acceleration. Calculate the force between the blocks. Ans. 2 N
10. Three blocks A, B and C each of mass 10 kg are kept on a smooth horizontal surface as shown. The block A is
pushed by a- force of 5 N as shown. Then calculate: (i) acceleration of each block. (ii) the net force acting on
