VISION OF A LEADER
Leadership is the capacity which turns vision into reality said by Warren Bennis.
Vision is a huge picture that has been drawn in a mind of a leader about a future
goal. True leaders have a great vision. The quality of vision is really important
for a leader. This quality is important for a leader to invent the future
achievements in his mind and in his follower’s mind when they are in present.
Leaders share a dream and a path which the employees want to share and
follow. By being a far sighted leader can face target very confidently because
leader have the solution for all the problems that the members have to face in
the future when they achieve their goals. There’s a statement as the leaders
who don’t have a great vision cannot survive to the success. Leaders who lack
vision cannot succeed in life cause they work in a still standard and in a
monotonous manner.
When communicating the vision to your employees, give them only the vision of
success. Great leaders use vision as a tool to inspire and motivate, not to
dictate. Don’t convey your employees the steps for achieving the vision, but let
them determine the methods and tactics for achieving the goal. To be a
visionary leader not need have anything more than a clear vision of the future.
The difficult task is communicating that vision with clarity and passion in order
to motivate and inspire the followers to take action. A visionary leader who
clearly and passionately communicates his or her vision can motivate
employees to act with passion and purpose, thereby ensuring that everyone is
working toward a common goal. The end result is that everyone contributes to
the organization's forward momentum. Vision has the strength to move the
employees out of monotonous work life and to place them into a new
challenging and dynamic work.
If there is positive vision of a leader it must be reasonable, clear and must be
according to the goal of the team. If the above qualities have molded in the
vision of a leader. It is a leader who molds, interprets, communicates and
represents the vision according to correct way. There are so many reasons why
leadership vision is so important. The first and foremost one is the vision shows
us where we are headed. It means the goal or the target that we need to
achieve. Then vision provides us motivation and inspires us to keeping going
until we achieve the goal of us. Third one is vision helps us to keep moving
forward and keep moving through the obstacles with self –confidence. Next the
vision keeps us focused to the goal until we achieve it. Then vision gives us a
meaning and a purpose to the each and everything that we do.
True leaders have a vision, that is, they have a potential to view the present as
it is and to invent a future culminating out of the present. A leader with a vision
can foresee the future and can remain in the present. A vision is an end towards
which leader can spend and direct his energy and resources. Leaders share a
dream and a path which the employees want to share and follow. It is well
demonstrated in the actions, beliefs and values of organizational leaders.
So as to achieve vision, a leader must expert special extra efforts and have
robust confidence and devotion to realize the vision. Vision acts as an internal
force propelling a leader to act. It provides a leader an objective. The consistent
existence of a vision makes a leader progressive despite various hardships and
obstacles. Vision is a bond that unites the individuals into team with a mutual
goal.
A great leader should have two things as the vision of the world that does not
exist and the ability to communicate that vision clearly. so be a leader like this
