The group led by former Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV pointed out that Duterte
himself disclosed in a television interview last week that he had spent his
intelligence funds to carry out killings in Davao City while he was mayor.
The vigilante-style executions were said to be the handiwork of the dreaded
Davao Death Squad or DDS.
“My intelligence funds, I used it to buy. I had all of them killed. That’s why
Davao is like that. Your companions, I really had them killed. That’s the truth,”
Duterte said in his TV show on SMNI Network on Oct. 10.
At that time, he was talking to his spiritual adviser, Apollo Quiboloy,
about the request of his daughter, Vice President Sara Duterte, for
confidential funds.
The video of his full interview was taken down from SMNI’s YouTube
channel on Oct. 12.
“We, the Magdalo group, are urging the Marcos administration to

(Phivolcs), the tectonic earthquake was northeast of Masbate City
and had a depth of focus of seven kilometers.

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine College of Criminology (PCCR)
suspended its classes on Tuesday to remember its student who
reportedly died of hazing on October 16.
The victim was Ahldryn Bravante.
“In solemn remembrance of the tragic passing of our student, Ahldryn Leary C.
Bravante, who has fallen victim to a hazing incident, classes are hereby suspended
from 1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. today, 17 October 2023,” PCCR said in a statement.
The institution also condemned a “dastardly act” committed against Bravante.
It said such a crime has no place in the society and it “undermines the very principles
of respect for human dignity,” it said.
“Hazing, in any form, is an abhorrent and reprehensible practice
that has no place in our society,” the college said in a separate
statement on its official Facebook page.
“PCCR does not and will never tolerate any form of hazing and any
organization that promotes this illegal and violent act,” it added.
“Let us honor the memory of this young man by ensuring that such
a tragedy never happens again,” PCCR concluded.
Aside from suspending classes, PRRC invited its students and
employees to a Christian Service to mourn the passing of Bravante
at its JFAB Multi-Purpose Hall at around 3 p.m.
Based on a police report also on Tuesday, four members of Tau
Gamma Phi Fraternity-Philippine College of Criminology Chapter
purportedly performed initiation rites on Bravante.
The crime occurred in an abandoned building at the corner of Santo
Domingo Avenue and Calamba Street, Quezon City, around 2 p.m.
on Monday.
Following the alleged hazing, the student struggled to breathe and
lost consciousness.
He was brought to Chinese General Hospital in Manila around 6:40
p.m., where he was declared dead on arrival.
