An idea which has gained wide acceptance nowaday is that salaries of executives
in large company should be regulated to make income equality. From my
perspective, I absolutely disagree with this idea. I strongly believe that only the
market could measure salaries of worker.
On the one hand, some people consider that limiting the amount of top staffs’
salaries can address income inequality situation nowadays. Unfortunately, this is
an unreasonable way when regulating salaries of staff could lead to many troubles
like the destruction of workers’ motivation or the low growth speed of company.
Indeed, the workers are going to have no duty to make extra values for the
company when they are not able to gain anything back. Moreover, with fixing
salaries, the qualify of executives projects could be unrealiable when they are
defaultly think that their low qualify products will not effect on their income.
On the other hand, let market estimate salaries of staff is a favourable method
which many people like me support recent days. First and foremost, unlimited
salaries encourage people to dedicate more and more to possess high salary. It is
pretty straight forward to understand when their salaries level now is measured by
what they devote to society. The more contribution means the higher income and
vice versa. In addition, the high income possession nowadays does not merely
mean financial excessing matter anymore but it has an unmeasureable symbolic
value, the symbol of high contribution to society. This symbol could help people
feel more confident in doing anything in daily life as they believe that every action
they made was partially develop the society.
In conclusion, it seems to me that the government should not involved with
regulating worker’s salaries. Instead of that, let society conducts it.
