31 January 2025: Balrampur Chini Mills received consent to establish (CTE) the project.

07 February 2025: The status of the project is as follows:

Approximately 685 crore has been incurred as of December 31, 2024.

Other required consents for the project are in progress.

10 February 2025:
The board of Balrampur Chini Mills has approved an increase in the project capacity, revising the capital expenditure from Rs 2,000 crore to Rs 2,850 crore.

22 February 2025: Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath Ji has performed the foundation stone laying ceremony for the project.(more)

24 February 2025: The work on the project has recently commenced.

25 March 2025: As communicated to Projects Today by an official from Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd., construction work on the project is in progress, along with the
finalization of machinery.

14 May 2025: Construction work on the project is underway.

Warehouse and system work is completed.

The capex of Rs. 800 crore has been incurred till April 2025.

28 May 2025: Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis unveiled new eco-friendly brand Balrampur Bioyug based on poly lactic acid (PLA) of the project.(more)
