TOURNAMENT GUIDELINES
ELIGIBLITY: -
1. Age: Players born on or after 1.1.2010.
Age Proof: - Each participant must produce a valid certificate to prove his/her age. Certificates from School will not
be accepted. Certificates should preferably be from the Panchayat, Municipality or Corporation obtained soon after
birth. Players without date of birth certificates will not be allowed to participate. The date of birth certificates
registered within one year of the birth of the player alone will be recognized and allowed to participate.
2. Registration-
All the players must be registered with AICF & CGSCA for the year 2025-26 to participate in the championships. CGSCA
player registration fee is Rs. 150/- for the year 2025-26.

Late fee: Please note that the entry fee structure is valid till 10th July 2025 (Up to 05:00 PM). Thereafter, a late fee of Rs.
250/- per player will be levied. No entry will be entertained after 12th July 2025 (Up to 05:00 PM).
System of play – The tournament will be conducted as per fide laws of chess & Fide Swiss system.
Time Control – 30 minutes each with increment of 30 seconds from move number one.
Default Time – Default time will be 15 minutes.
Tie Break – Latest Tie-break rules will be followed.
Electronic Devices – All electronics devices including wristwatches (all types of watches) are not allowed in the
tournament hall. It will lead to loss of the game.
Protest - Protest, if any against the decision of Chief Arbiter, shall be made in written with protest fee of Rs. 1,000/-
within 15 minutes of the occurrence of the incident. The amount shall be refunded if the appeal is upheld.
Appeals Committee - Five members + Two reserve appeal committees shall be formed. No member of the committee
can vote in a dispute in which a player of himself is involved and in such cases, the reserve can take his place on the
committee.
Disqualification - No participant will leave the tournament venue before the prize distribution function without the
permission of the Chief Arbiter. Otherwise, his/her prize and certificate will be forfeited, and disciplinary action will be
taken.
Accommodation: Free dormitory type accommodation will be provided for participants and each accompanying
person have to pay 1200 INR for entire tournament days , Need to pay in advance to confirm their Accommodation.
Those who do not wish to have dormitory facilities can make their own arrangements.
