• Before you create a new item request, be sure to enable the item class for the
new item request.
• You can add Descriptive flexfields as additional attributes for the new item
request.
• For NIRs, you can’t create or delete statuses or workflows.
• The NIR workflow is : Open, Definition, Approval, Scheduled, Completed.
• NIR can’t be modified once it’s approved.
• You can’t add unapproved items to a change order through import
• New item requests in the Draft status aren't appended on the home page;
they're appended once you promote them to the Open status
• You can set up automatic promotion and demotion rules at the new item
request type level.
• You can concurrently process a commercialization change order and a new
item request on the same item in the child and master organization.
• Items can only be added when the New Item Request is in a draft status and an
open phase.
• There can be only one primary supplier for one item organization association
• You can use predefined item statuses, and also define your own statuses.
Predefined statuses are active and inactive.
• To generate item number and description based on rules, we must create
assignment rules.
• Existing numbers aren't changed if you change a number generation method.
• Inherited from parent, rule generated, sequence generated and user defined are
the number generation methods available.
• We can change item numbers later on if and only if the Update Item Number
(EGP_UPDATEABLE_ITEM) profile option has been set to Yes at the site
level.
• Also, if above is set to yes, and we change any attribute of an item whose
number depends on that particular attribute, the number would be regenerated.
• Four objects can be published: item, item class, catalog, trading partner item.
• You can publish deleted content for items, item category assignments, and item
suppliers to support integration with external systems.
• EGI_PUBLICATION_ITEMS_PER_PAYLOAD profile option determines the
number of items to be used per payload in the publication process. The
predefined value is 500.
• EGI_PUBLICATION_NUMBER_OF_PAYLOADS profile option determines
the number of parallel payloads to be used in the publication process.
Predefined value is 10.
• Only items that have been updated since the last publication or criteria date and
that meet the publication criteria for the spoke system will be published. This
includes newly created items meeting the publication criteria.
• You cannot publish by specific child organizations. You can only publish at the
master organization level. All child organizations within the master
organization will publish.
