FRACTIONS, DECIMALS AND PERCENTAGE

Fractions, decimals, and percentages are different ways to represent parts of

a whole. They are all related and can be converted from one form to
another. A fraction represents a part of a whole using a numerator and
denominator. A decimal uses a decimal point to show parts of a whole in
terms of tenths, hundredths, etc. A percentage expresses a value as a fraction
of 100.

Converting between fractions, decimals, and percentages:

 Fraction to Decimal: Divide the numerator by the denominator.
 Fraction to Percentage: Divide the numerator by the denominator and multiply by 100,
or move the decimal point two places to the right and add a percent sign.
 Decimal to Percentage: Multiply the decimal by 100.
 Percentage to Decimal: Divide the percentage by 100.
Example:
 The fraction 1/2 can be converted to the decimal 0.5 and the percentage 50%.
 The decimal 0.25 can be converted to the fraction 1/4 and the percentage 25%.
 The percentage 75% can be converted to the decimal 0.75 and the fraction 3/4.
Understanding these conversions is crucial for various mathematical
operations and real-world applications.
