Guideline for ODL Mode Assignment Submission
The learners have to adhere to the following format while
submitting the assignments:
1. Each Assignment must be hand written only and submitted in separate file.
2. Assignments composed using computer/printed form will not be accepted
3. Handwriting should be neat and readable
4. Paper size should be same and write through front side of the paper only
5. Use any one black and(or) blue ink pen. Do not use 'RED' ink pen.
6. For each course the assignment response should be scanned in single file
which means if there are 5 questions in one assignment then there should
not be 5 files it should be one single file containing all five responses of
the assignment.
7. Each question of the assignment should not be answered in more than 1000
words and should not exceed 3 pages. So total assignments of a paper are
required to be completed within 2400-3000 words and 8-9 pages.
8. Write assignments separately for each course.
9. In case of any discrepancy such as copying/duplication from other,
photocopy & improper submission is found in the assignment submitted,
marks of all concerned learner get zero in the whole assignment and
cancellation of the entire assignment may be imposed.
10.Learner may submit their pending assignment with current assignment
with a note ‘Previous Year’ on the assignment file folder.
11. Assignment submission is compulsory. without submitting your
assignments, you will not be eligible to appear for Term-End-Examination
(TEE).
12.You can submit it in person at your study centre during the working hours
or you may send your assignments with somebody with ID proof to submit

it at your study centre or you may send your assignments through speed
post to the Coordinator of your study centre (LSC).
13.If you fail in assignment you can submit the new assignments for upcoming
TEE (latest assignments should be submitted).
14.Name your file appropriately, the file name should start with your Roll
number followed by your course for example if your Roll number is
D22MHD01 and you intend to submit your DMLH-101 assignment then
the file name should be given as D22MHD01DMLH-101 with your name
and assignment title.
15.The Assignment must have the following details: Write your Admission/
Roll Number, Enrolment Number Name, Course Code, Course Title,
Signature and Date, E-mail Id & Mobile Number.
16.Xerox copy of assignment question paper must be attached with your file.
17.For every assignment learner should fill and attach the cover page (See the
attached cover page Template).
18.On each page of the assignment the learner must write the Roll Number
either on top or bottom of the page before submitting.
19.Every page of the assignment should have a proper page number.
20.After the due date of submission of assignments, learners can submit
his/her assignments with late fees. The late fee up to the maximum period
of 4 weeks will be charged @ Rs.100 per assignment and after 4 weeks
will be charged @ Rs.200 per assignment. The charged amount will be
collected by demand draft.

FAQs related to Assignments Submission
1. Where should I submit my assignments?
The assignments are to be submitted at your study centre (LSC)
for ODL Mode& Google class room for OL Mode.
2. What is the last date to submit assignments?
For June Term End Examination - 31st March (or as per
announced by the CDOE),
For December Term End Examination- 30th September (or as
per announced by the CDOE).
3. Are typed assignments valid?
No, assignments should be hand written only. Typed assignments
will not be accepted/evaluated.
4. Can all assignments be submitted in one file?
No, you have to submit separate file for all courses.
5. What all are to be attached along with my assignments?
Each assignment should be attached with the cover page
mentioning your Name, Roll Number, Course Code Programme
and Study centre, contact number etc (In the given template).
One should also attach the downloaded assignment question
paper with the assignments.
6. Is assignment submission compulsory?
Yes, without submitting your assignments you will not be
eligible to appear for Term-End-Examination (TEE).
7. Where will I get assignment question paper?
Assignment question papers can be downloaded from Google
class room/JMI website. Please submit assignment responses of
the latest assignment’s questions.

8. What if I fail in assignments?
If you fail in assignments you can submit the new assignments
for upcoming TEE (latest assignments should be submitted).
9. What type of paper should I use for assignments?
You should use A4 size papers.
10. How can I submit my assignments?
You can submit it in person at your study centre during the
working hours on Saturday/Sunday or you may send your
assignments with somebody with ID proof to submit it at your
study centre or you may send your assignments through speed
post to the Coordinator of your study centre. You can also submit
your assignment online in google class room.
11. Can assignments be re-evaluated?
No. If you have secured pass percentage in any of the
assignments then no re-evaluation will be considered.
12. Should I get receipt after submitting the assignments at
study centre?
Yes, if you are submitting your assignments in person at your
study centre then collect the receipt from study centre and keep
it with you till the declaration of all assignment results. In case
you are submitting it through post, keep the copy of receipt given
by Post Office and in case of online submission, keep the
technical evidence.
13. Should I keep the Xerox copies of assignments?
Yes, it is always advised to keep the Xerox or scan copy of your
assignments with you till the declaration of both Term End
Results and Assignment results.
