DESIGN CONCEPT
The design concept is from the legend of Cagayan de Oro’s origin.
Accordingly, Cagayan de Oro is from the ancient Bukidnon word
"Cagaycay" which means the use of one's own barehand or holding a piece
of wood.The image of a hand holding a piece of wood symbolizes the act of
holding the city together. This idea of holding together is central to the
city’s growth and development, as the hand symbolizes both the individual
effort and collective strength needed to govern and sustain a thriving
community.
The building design combines neoclassical architectural styles, which are
traditional and timeless, with modern elements that represent the city’s
