Work location
● Onsite in Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi, Vietnam
Responsibilities
● Work with our clients to help improve their software systems
○ Read, comprehend and document large legacy code bases
○ Design and implement architecture, performance, and security improvements
● Write and test product or system development code
● Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst
available technologies
● Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best
practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency)
● Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on
product/program updates and user feedback
● Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of
issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality
Minimum qualifications
● 5 years of experience in software engineering. Being able to ship code is a must. Ideal
candidate is a person who has been in the role of software architect and still doing a lot
of hand on coding.
● Strong ability to comprehend new technologies quickly
● Strong software engineering skills: design good API, write design documentation,
communicate technical ideas with colleagues, debug subtle/complex issues
● Strong ability to strive the balance between getting software work done right and ship
products/features out early (The Rise of Worse is Better)
● Strong communication skills in English and Vietnamese
● Willingness to do whatever it takes to make our customers happy (no unethical means,
of course)
Preferred qualifications
● Familiarity with common software security vulnerabilities and how to prevent them
● Familiarity with modern system administration and DevOps practices
● Experience working in international environments
