How relevant and applicable were the course The course contents are very relevant and
contents in helping you enhance your applicable in enhancing my competencies as a 21st
competencies as 21st Century teacher? century teacher as it provides me with the latest
updates, trends, and pedagogies in education. It
enhance my capacity as a teacher especially in the
use of technology in today’s trend of giving
teaching instruction through the use of ICT and
facilitating learning that give emphasis on
collaborative learning. I am already equipped with
knowledge, skills, attitudes and values that is
needed in the world of 21st century education. I can
demonstrate proficiency and model the essential
skills of reading, writing, comprehending,
listening, speaking and viewing of media necessary
for my students’ learning. I can now develop and
present information in an articulate and persuasive
manner, orally.
What significant learning insights did you gain One of the most significant learning insights that I
from the course? gain from the course are the competencies that I
must possess to become a 21st century teacher that
cater all the needs of my 21st century learners. I
should be a subject expert, a facilitator of learning,
and a classroom manager. It reminds me of the very
essence of being a teacher. This will surely lead to
a very harmonious and conducive teaching and
learning environment produces learners that are
globally competitive ones.
What challenges or difficulties did you There are several challenges or difficulties that I
experience during the course? encountered during the course. One of these and I
consider as the hardest reason is time management.
I really find it hard for me during SEAMEO. There
are lots of demand in my teaching career that I have
to attend to. One of these are the Division Meet,
DSSPC and some other seminars and trainings that
I had to attend to. I really need to set time to read
the modules during late nights and answer all the
questions, required readings and even the
assignments in each module. Another difficulty
which happens sometimes during chat sessions/live
forum was the poor internet connectivity. That it
made me logged out and logged in. Yet I found it
very challenging and worthy to be part of the
course.
What areas related to 21st Century teaching and My ICT literacy and financial literary still need to
learning do you still need to improve on and be improved. The internet and digital technology
why? skills are the things I still need to develop. It will
be more fulfilling if I become better in these areas.
I am computer literate but I still need those new
techno-savvy facilitating of learning so that I will
be fitted in today’s millennial generation.
What can you say about your overall This course gave me a lot of significance as a

things on terms of our teaching-learning processes,
exchanging of ideas in chat is enjoyable, I obtain
new ideas from others answers.
Learning through virtual process is an avenue for
new experience. Even posting and reading
discussions in the Forum brought out opportunity
for me to explore and learn something new. In
doing my assignments and course requirements at
first I found it difficult but at the end, I am happy
because I accomplished it in my own effort. My
salute to my FLT Joey Quizon for always being
flexible to us. He always remind us in answering
our forum questions so as with our required
readings. I really appreciate his effort in doing so.
Dr. Quizon displays so much knowledge on every
topic we undergo and concern to every learner. He
is also very appreciative there are no wrong
answers for him. He allows us to express our own
ideas without prejudices. He is very kind and
approachable flexible teacher.
Online modality will be best attained through the
help constant reading to have wide ideas. That’s
how I view this entire duration of the course.
What are your other comments / suggestions My salute to SEAMEO INNOTECH for providing
for improving the content coverage and future us teachers this online learning platform. You
course deliveries? build teachers who are fully equipped with all the
KSAs needed to compete in the global world of
education, thus, uplifting the education quality of
the Philippines. I suggest that more online short
courses will be offered to our educators to
continue beating the challenges of our education
sector.
