Digital India Corporation has been set up by the ‘Ministry of Electronics & Information
Technology, Government of India’, to innovate, develop and deploy ICT and other emerging
technologies for the benefit of the common man. It is a ‘not for profit’ Company under Section 8 of
the Companies Act 2013. The Company has been spearheading the Digital India programme of the
Government of India, and is involved in promoting use of technology for e-Governance/e- Health /
Telemedicine, e-agriculture, e-Payments etc. The Digital India programme promotes safety and
security concerns of growing cashless economy and addresses challenges confronting its wider
acceptance. It also promotes innovation and evolves models for empowerment of citizens through
Digital initiatives and promotes participatory governance and citizen engagement across the
government through various platforms including social media.
Digital India Corporation is currently inviting applications for the following positions purely on
Contract/ Consolidated basis.

1. Job Description: Senior Web Application Developer
Education Qualifications
• BE/B.Tech/MCA/Msc.(CS)
Experience:
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust web applications using PHP, Laravel, and
Python.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
• Integrate third-party APIs, tools, and services as needed.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define system architecture and project requirements.
• Design and implement efficient database schemas and optimize queries for performance.
• Develop RESTful APIs for seamless front-end and back-end integration.
• Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and quality.
• Implement automated and manual testing to ensure reliability and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Mentor junior developers and promote knowledge sharing within the team.
• Provide technical guidance and solutions to complex challenges.
• Lead by example, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Skill Set
• Expertise in PHP, with hands-on experience in developing large-scale applications using
Laravel.
• Strong knowledge of Python for back-end services, scripting, or data-related tasks.
• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases.
• Expertise in Git and working with distributed version control systems.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and handle multiple projects
simultaneously.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of security best practices for web applications.

General Conditions applicable to all applicants covered under this

Digital India Corporation in future.
4. Digital India Corporation reserves the right to terminate the appointments of all positions
with a notice of one month or without any notice by paying one month’s salary in lieu of the
noticeperiod.
5. The maximum age shall be as on the last date of receipt of the applications. Screening of
